The lilac is a bit faded with the heat this year.
Remembering Sir Pterry on the Glorious 25th.
My favourites in the series are probably the Witches books. Currently listening to Carpe Jugulem.Flowers

If you don’t know where there was, you weren’t there.

I always wanted to be Granny Weatherwax but fear that I am far more aligned with Nanny Ogg these days.

I forgot to come and find the MN thread for the glorious 25th yesterday. GNU PTerry, may your name carry on forever.
And as an aside, I am rather looking forward to being a crone now, I'm in particular looking forward to the cackling.

TerribleEntrepreneur · 26/05/2026 21:59

How do they rise up, rise up high?

MrsMort · 27/05/2026 22:31

Sorry I forgot, even Facebook memories let me down. GNU

BringBackTheLight · 27/05/2026 22:36

Wasn't here yesterday sorry. GNU Sir Pterry, mind how you go.

As I get older, I increasingly find myself thinking "what would Granny do in this situation?"

My DH says that I will know when I need it. So it sits there until I do.

and until that day there will always be a new book.

I just don’t have that in me. I left my copy in its paper bag next to my bed for about a month, then I ripped it open and read it all within 2 days.

And sobbed for about the same amount of time.
