The lilac is a bit faded with the heat this year.
Remembering Sir Pterry on the Glorious 25th.
My favourites in the series are probably the Witches books. Currently listening to Carpe Jugulem.Flowers

GNU Sir T and thank you Fuckery I had forgotten the Glorious 25th. I have been a proselytising Pratchett fan since the Colour of Magic and have a very battered copy of the Light Fantastic, newly released and signed to Igmum from Terry. Wonderful books, a great talent. GNU.

I thought ‘Yorkshire puddings or Revolution?’.

The title of my autobiography is finally settled.

In both cases the answer is "extreme heat".

GNU Sir Terry.

Such a lovely man. Before the dementia hit, one of my senior pupils wrote to him and he took the time to answer. God bless him.

GNU Sir Terry and thank you for all the beautiful hours reading your books 💜

Guards and witches are my favourites but Reaper Man was the first book of his I read and will always be special for it. Raising a glass in a magnificent wig in memory of the wonderful Sir Terry.

I still haven’t read The Shepherd's Crown as then I’d have to accept there’s no new books to read. This way there’s always one more to read.

GNU Sir Terry.

I'm up for the reasonably priced love but less so the boiled egg these days

Funnily enough I was thinking about TP earlier and how much of a creative genius he must have been as he was already very far in to his illness before he published the last book (Raising Steam I I think) which seemed a bit ‘off’ to me in a way I couldn’t put my finger on at the time. Apparently he published the previous two when he had already lost the ability to type and would dictate to his assistant. I can’t remember his assistants name but he wrote TP’s autobiography and I highly recommend it if you’re a TP fan, as it reveals the true genius of the man.

Same.

I am rationing my remaining Discworld because I never want there to be no more books. I started Making Money today, which I've been putting off, in honour of it being the Glorious 25th.

I'm not sure I'll ever be ready to read The Shepherd's Crown.

I have Shepherd's Crown on a high shelf next to The Mirror and the Light.

If I don't read them, they're still alive.

Have just come in from the garden as it's too dark now to read any more of Going Postal.

I’m on a slow re-read through the canon, Night Watch was the last one I read.

GNU STP. One of my favourite things on here is spotting other Discworld inspired user names and knowing that his greatness is not yet forgotten. I wish he were still here to satirise the current state of the world.

My DH says that I will know when I need it. So it sits there until I do.

and until that day there will always be a new book.

Got lilac growing at the bottom of my garden every year. It reminds me of Sir PTerry whose death has left a huge hole. I miss you!
