... and so over the next week or so, I'll be bringing you scenes of everything that's going on. Today there are several people jogging in the park. Preston is out for his morning run.

It’s always nice to see a bit of high standard tennis. There were some excellent cross court volleys going on there!

ChessieFL · 28/05/2026 17:40

Love your username @AcornAntiques !

SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 18:29

I'm pleased people liked the tennis! The boating pond was a bit of an afterthought. That often happens when I'm planning an event - I've nearly finished it all and then think of something else I could do! Grin
A package arrived this afternoon, so I've been busy doing a few supplementary scenes. That was after a fun morning of pressure washing (I was doing that, not the Playmo people)!

Would anyone like to guess what will happen tomorrow? Smile

School sports day
Walk in the park event
Barn dance
Tea in the park
Marching band parade
A fete
A garden show
A jumble sale
An outdoor play
A concert
A light parade
A dog show
Sheepdog trials
Fishing
Pilates /yoga class

SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 18:59

Some interesting choices there @DirtyGertiefromno30 ! Some closer than others. It definitely won't be fishing or yoga/pilates, as we've already had fishing at the pond and the pregnant ladies' exercise class. Also, not a school sports day, as the schools are on half term (which is why so many children are in the park). Smile

I really liked the boating pond, it reminds me ofy visits to the park as a child. Thank you

AcornAntiques · 28/05/2026 19:53

Thank you @ChessieFL!

AcornAntiques · 28/05/2026 20:05

I’m wondering if a good natured game of boules might feature tomorrow? I’d love to see a band parade too! Whatever happens I know it will be brilliant @SoMuchToBits!

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 28/05/2026 20:12

Whatever it is l know we will love it thank you for doing this for us @SoMuchToBits

Laska2Meryls · 28/05/2026 20:19

Skateboarding? Though of course we've had rollerblading..

I'm still hoping for a community picnic..

Perhaps there will be a fete / flower show and cake sale on Saturday as then everyone will be off and all the Mums and Dad's can come also

Or a Music Festival , Battle of the Bands !

Here's a Wild Card : A Fire service Vs Police tug of war for charity?

Laska2Meryls · 28/05/2026 20:20

It'll be great fun anyway.. Playmos really know how to enjoy themselves...

SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 20:25

Haha, your suggestion of the tug of war really made me laugh @Laska2Meryls ! Grin It's true that I have no shortage of either police officers or firefighters, but I just can't get my head round how they are all going to hold the rope with both hands!

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 28/05/2026 20:44

😄
Blu Tack might do it @SoMuchToBits ? ...But then there's all the mess getting it out of their hands afterwards...

SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 20:47

Haha, blu-tac is often my friend in Playmo scenes (for fixing people's bottoms to slippery slides etc), and I have used it to keep items in hands, and know how to remove it (thin skewer). But it's the hand positions on the rope I'm struggling with... You can tell I overthink these things! Grin

I do love all the ideas other people have. Some of them aren't feasible, but a few would work. Maybe next time I'm planning an event I should start a thread a few months beforehand for ideas! I did have quite a brainstorming session with @petalpower when we were out for lunch though a couple of months ago, which was productive! Smile

NooNakedJacuzziness · 28/05/2026 21:19

A fun fair maybe? Does Playmo do a big wheel/goldfish in bags/the waltzers? If not they should!

SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 21:24

@NooNakedJacuzziness (love your username btw!) they have in the past done some funfair sets, but I've never bought any. They weren't really my kind of thing... but then I may have bought some sets for this event about which if you had asked me last year would I want them, would have said no! You never know when a random set might become useful. I bought a whole café once because I needed a roast chicken. Blush

Love the dedication 🍗

SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 21:30

Thank you! Sometimes I see a Playmo set and just think "That would be great because it contains (e.g.) an old fashioned pram, a swan and cygnets and a grey poodle!" Most of my friends think I'm a bit bonkers, but fortunately they generally seem to tolerate me! Smile

AcornAntiques · 28/05/2026 21:35

More guesses…frisbee, rounders or crazy golf?!

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 28/05/2026 21:35

Thank you @SoMuchToBits 🌟
You may be a bit bonkers, but definitely in a good way 😁

SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 21:38

Definitely no rounders, Playmo don't do that! They have done a couple of crazy golf small sets, but I don't have those, sorry! A frisbee may appear at some point...

OP posts:
SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 21:41

Hmm, actually I do think I have one of the Playmo Figures people with a baseball bat. Maybe that could have been re-purposed for rounders? Hmm, maybe there might have to be some rounders the following weekend...

OP posts:
SoMuchToBits · 28/05/2026 21:43

Oh, and I think I now have the perfect things for rounders bases! This could be a thing! Smile

Laska2Meryls · 28/05/2026 21:44

I don't suppose they do Cricket either?
