What TV adverts irrationally annoy you at the moment?

Just a lighthearted thread, but I keep seeing a Simba advert where a guy is stacking an insane amount of biscuits up while in bed, and then his partner just acts like a dick and knocks them over, sending them flying everywhere. And the worst bit is that they’re sat on the bed and don’t have a bedsheet on.

There’s also one for blinds where the most annoying voice in the world says “It’s your home darling” and then promptly get muted by me as I hate his voice so much.

Anyone want to add any more?

I hate the travel insurance for oldies as the husband is an irritating tit yet the younger, more attractive wife gazes at him adoringly (DH would get a withering glare!)

I also hate the one for some squash or other when the mother is called by school as child has misbehaved then they go home, drink squash and laugh together. Instead of enjoying their close relationship, I turn into "Mrs Angry" and am imagining him in court as a teenage delinquent

Oh I’ve just remembered the one where there’s a guy in a bath talking about someone’s funeral, and the wife is banging on about funeral plans while standing on the other side of the door so she doesn’t look in and see her husband in the bath. And then she stands outside the open door to phone them up while he’s still having his bath.

The funeral plan ones shown in afternoons..and life insurance. I know the audience is likely to be older one weekdays but come on. I get home from work to a deluge of them and charity begging.

Is this the one where they sing about having the shits? I always wonder what was going through the actors’ heads while filming that.

We call it the Pepto Abysmal ad in our house

There’s a car advert at the minute. A women is in her car composing a message to her father who’s been absent from her life for 8 years. She composes one asking why he left and one telling him what he’s missed but she doesn’t send those. The message she ultimately sends is that she misses him. Basically he disappears for almost a decade and isn’t held accountable at all.

Yeah I did find myself wondering how much Diarrhoea Man got paid for his song and dance.

The one that goes:

Drives me insane. I can usually ignore or block irritating things out pretty successfully but that one cuts through, sets my teeth on edge.

Pretty much all of them. They are not a patch on what they used to be in the 80s and 90s. These days they are just random assemblages of noise and colour. Which is a big reason I don’t have broadcast TV anymore only streaming.

And if it led to other "jobs".
