What TV adverts irrationally annoy you at the moment?

Just a lighthearted thread, but I keep seeing a Simba advert where a guy is stacking an insane amount of biscuits up while in bed, and then his partner just acts like a dick and knocks them over, sending them flying everywhere. And the worst bit is that they’re sat on the bed and don’t have a bedsheet on.

There’s also one for blinds where the most annoying voice in the world says “It’s your home darling” and then promptly get muted by me as I hate his voice so much.

Anyone want to add any more?

Agree on the irritation value of the All Clear ads but more her with her tiny eyes and the Botox.
But I absolutely hate any celeb pushing something, especially Vogue Williams or Molly Mae and detergent.

Allseeingallknowing · 23/05/2026 10:04

Peter Crouch’s- laundry detergent- big deal!

snoopydoopydo · 23/05/2026 10:04

The Miele one where they appear to be stacking clean glasses and plates into the dishwasher!

Those wallies rolling around in bed linen that's been doused in Lenor, especially the woman clutching the duvet and shaking the tub saying "mine".

The Pure Cremation adverts, all of them.

I quite like the Pepto Bismol ad, I do find myself singing it when it comes on.

Yes! Don't forget the woman screaming like a two year old having a tantrum sniffing the sheets demanding to know what it is...

SockPlant · 23/05/2026 10:06

Have not RTFT but must jump in to sat the IKEA one with the young couple who invite people for di ner and a kid wrecks the place.
Gives me the absolute RAGE

Oh I’ve just remembered the one where there’s a guy in a bath talking about someone’s funeral, and the wife is banging on about funeral plans while standing on the other side of the door so she doesn’t look in and see her husband in the bath. And then she stands outside the open door to phone them up while he’s still having his bath.

And the smug shift he does in the bath when she makes the call....

Is this the one where they sing about having the shits? I always wonder what was going through the actors’ heads while filming that.

We yell “I went to RADA!” on their behalf when this comes on.

Reevester · 23/05/2026 10:23

Popeyes chicken

SirChenjins · 23/05/2026 10:24

The one for the Alaskan cruise where they cut to very glamorous people doing science-y things in a laboratory.

For some reason this advert winds me up no end.

SuperFi · 23/05/2026 10:26

So many, but the Skoda ‘ familying’ makes my teeth itch.

Lavender14 · 23/05/2026 10:27

I absolutely despise the car accident/ road safety ones. They must be so distressing for people who have lost loved ones or been in serious accidents themselves.

the80sweregreat · 23/05/2026 10:27

Familying , it is annoying isn’t it.
Skoda make some really bad ads. The car ad with all the cats was equally bad , not sure which car but it was a bit unsettling.

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 23/05/2026 10:29

I love the Pepto bismol one. I sing it and do the actions for my kids 🤣

I hate the travel insurance for oldies as the husband is an irritating tit yet the younger, more attractive wife gazes at him adoringly (DH would get a withering glare!)

I also hate the one for some squash or other when the mother is called by school as child has misbehaved then they go home, drink squash and laugh together. Instead of enjoying their close relationship, I turn into "Mrs Angry" and am imagining him in court as a teenage delinquent

I think they are married in real life. She used to be in the group tight fit in the early 80's

The one that goes:

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhkoda.

Drives me insane. I can usually ignore or block irritating things out pretty successfully but that one cuts through, sets my teeth on edge.

Edited

This one! Omg. It actually makes me feel angry and I don’t know why. When it starts I join in with the shhhhhhhhh but end with shhhhut up!!!

the80sweregreat · 23/05/2026 10:32

The pepto one is memorable isn’t it. Mostly for the wrong reasons. I can see the actors up the back looking sheepish , I wonder how much they were all paid ? Maybe ads pay well to pretend to have a stomach bug , but it is a catchy tune.

Pumpkinpuffin · 23/05/2026 10:34

Viking river cruises. The smug way that woman says "exploring the world in comfort!" with a silent tinkly laugh (in my head anyway) really annoys me more than I can explain!

the80sweregreat · 23/05/2026 10:35

The Cunard ad with the model in white and heels , all focused on rich people having fun. Talk about rub it in !

PinkHibiscusFlowers · 23/05/2026 10:37

Any ad that wants to “tick every box” in the same advert 🙄

MynameisnotJohn · 23/05/2026 10:40

That Irish woman in a white pleated skirt and heels advertising some detergent.
The flatmates dancing in joy about some detergent.
The weirdly feminine older man who mops the floor with some detergent.
I haven’t watched TV in about 15 years now but I get them on YouTube. The algorithm must think I am a major detergent consumer.
Fuck them. I buy Lidl own brand.

MynameisnotJohn · 23/05/2026 10:41

Oh and that yoga class incontinence one. ‘That wouldn’t cope with MY piss’.

the80sweregreat · 23/05/2026 10:42

The Miele dishwasher is weird. Why the fuss about a dishwasher , although my one I bought ten years ago is still going , im not sentimental about it.

the80sweregreat · 23/05/2026 10:43

Peter Crouch probably doesn’t get too involved with washing and those pods would never ever get those amount of stains out the white shirts. I can’t use such laundry products as have allergies, so winds me up even more !

Livingthebestlife · 23/05/2026 10:44

In Ireland Vodafone has released an ad of a granny singing a lullaby in Irish I actually want to rip the ears off my head when it comes on, it's so irritating and makes me feel violent.

We have the 99 red balloon one too. Use to actually like that song but not any more.

The chewing gum one with the mouths on their forehead 🤮🤮🤮

Thebargeonthecanal2002 · 23/05/2026 10:48

The Trivago ad’s, the guy with the teeth to big for his mouth saying “ he didn’t check Trivago” makes me reach for the mute.

Lady in red dress who screams because he windows are being fitted badly.
