Just on bus going past a huge funeral with what looks like 10 rolls Royces in attendance plus a white horse drawn carriage. Must be a big one eh?

We never see travellers round here that’s the strange thing.

Looks like fairly common church (Catholic) the travellers use as another traveller funeral was held there in 2016 (in Mirror).

Surely the white will have suggested to you that it was a child or very young person, OP? The implication in your OP that it was some kind of gangster affair is a bit distasteful in the circumstances.

I didn't get that at all from the OP's post. It is unusual as funeral cars are usually black.

I didn’t get that impression from the OP.

Fast800goingforit · 19/05/2026 12:10

Actually it was the number of cars plus the horse drawn hearse the OP commented on. But again, that doesn't imply gangster to me, just that it's a big funeral.

The poster did not imply anything at all to do with gangsters.

ViaRia01 · 19/05/2026 12:15

I really don’t understand the point of this thread…? It is obviously sad that there is a funeral for a child today but what is the thread about? Why speculate about who it is for etc? That’s gross.

And it makes absolutely no sense that you say it must be a common church that the travellers use as ‘they’ also had a funeral there ten years ago.

They probably live in a house i am not being obtuse but most travellers are settled.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 19/05/2026 12:17

Oh how sad 😔

RIP little boy. The smallest coffins are truly the heaviest.

Where on earth did you see gangster?

I'd have thought unusual, I wonder what that's all about. I don't think I'd have automaticlly thought child. 😪

alexdgr8 · 19/05/2026 12:21

White signifies a child.
Isn't that common knowledge

I didn't know that, and I just asked AI which doesn't either. It just says that white is culturally the colour of mourning in some parts of the world.

alexdgr8 · 19/05/2026 12:32

I think most British people would know that.
I once had to explain it to someone from another continent.

I honestly had no idea. Didn’t see the white cars until the last minute.

That is exactly what I was commenting on, amount of cars. In fact before I saw the hearse I thought it was a wedding.
