Why would my height differ between a workplace check and GP measurement?

Had body check up at work. They checked height with usual rod and said i was 5 foot 5 and a half. My Gp did it about a month ago and said I was 5 foot 4. I dod use to be 5 foot 6 I dont get why im taller from the work test than my GP A MONTH AGO

Human error, time of day (I think you are a bit taller in the morning?), you stood up straighter for the taller one. Or the taller one rounded up and shorter one rounded down. We shrink with ago too apparently.
I was measured for a research study when 8 months pregnant and was told 5 foot 3. I’m 5ft 5 so I lost 2 inches presumably because my spine was being compressed and maybe all the above.

Thank god he got away.

He died of cancer if you must know. We were still together at the time

op is of us on your low self esteem and confidence issues. No one will really notice if you're half an inch shorter than me or an inch taller, but they will notice someone who has to look metaphorically down on people to feel important.

GPS often mis-measure. But also you can be a different height at different times of day and depending on how hydrated you are!
