Anyone else get bustier post menopause?

I have and I don't like it! I think because it's just my image of myself so when I look in the mirror, it doesn't match my self image.

I've just had a thread about getting a different bra. Yes I feel I've gone a bit matronly.

I was never particularly small busted but my weight has crept up due to illness and menopause. I got a new bra yesterday and had to go up a cup. DD!

It does look better. Not sure it's very comfy though.

Try a minimiser bra..I am going to try some of the other brand suggestions in my thread for a more comfy one I think.

basoon · 17/05/2026 10:41

Matronly is exactly the right word

Ha! I wish. Weight everywhere else but not there.

Perfectly happy with my ‘usual’ body but I do wonder why my experience is so different to everyone else’s.

Yes, general weight gain but disproportionally at the bust. I used to be a C cup now I’m bursting out of a G.

henlake7 · 17/05/2026 11:43

Nope, I just said goodbye to my waist instead.🙁

Wetcoatsandmudagain · 17/05/2026 11:49

Yes and I don’t like it at all. Feels very uncomfortable. Irony is I have been self conscious of small bust size most of my life now I would love to have it back and a waistline 😂

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 17/05/2026 11:51

God yes. I have huge tits now, and they hang down to my waist. They used to be pert little things, 36AA.

I lost 3 stone recently, got my waist back but my bosoms remain matronly.

Gettingbysomehow · 17/05/2026 11:53

Ive got from 34b to 34d for some reason even though the rest of me is size 10. Weird.

Thatwaskindoffun · 17/05/2026 11:56

Yup always been bigger cup size G/GG but now I’m a J, matronly is the word, I hate it

Thatwaskindoffun · 17/05/2026 11:57

Out of interest are you all on HRT? I am and they’ve definitely got bigger again since I went on it but might be a coincidence

CrystalTits · 17/05/2026 12:01

B cup to F. The v experienced woman who fits me for bras said it’s entirely hormonal from menopause and nothing you can do about it…

suburburban · 17/05/2026 12:04

Yes same here, don’t like it, used to have a small bust

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 17/05/2026 12:06

I’ve gone from an F to an H! Awful. Feel very matronly and struggling to get clothes to fit. Getting a decent bra is also proving a challenge. Something soft but supportive is impossible to find.

TheChiffchaff · 17/05/2026 12:10

No, small as ever. I imagine if you have gained weight overall some will go on the bust?

cinnamonmilkandhoney · 17/05/2026 12:12

I’ve gone from a K to an L which has made bras even more difficult

Windywuss · 17/05/2026 12:41

I did buy a humongous big sweatshirt yesterday and as nobody will see me today I am slouching around in it, braless. I felt uncomfortable this morning and just thought sod it.

Bobsterbunny · 17/05/2026 12:44

Gone from B to E. I've got quite a small frame so it looks like I've had a boob job. I try and keep them firmly strapped down 🙄🙄🙄

MiaKulper · 17/05/2026 12:54

Mine have not changed. Some of my friends are a lot bustier than they were.
I was not and am not flat chested.

I'm not on HRT

MiaKulper · 17/05/2026 13:03

Me neither.

Crudd99 · 17/05/2026 13:08

Yes definitely, bigger and saggier. Also my nipples and areola are really pale almost the same colour as my boob's.

I am the opposite, lost 3 stone and now have small boobs. I am pumping the oestrogel hoping it helps!

merryhouse · 17/05/2026 14:26

I'm not pm yet (still having hot flashes, and bleeding is even less regular than it used to be) but when I lost a stone (through walking to and around work) my breasts reminded me strongly of when a balloon has hung around for a couple of weeks...

Yes. Been on it for years.

rightoguvnor · 17/05/2026 16:38

I’m not on HRT but definitely developed the matronly look. I’ve always had a larger bust but that was somehow different. These are monstrous thjngs that are quite scary if I lay on my side.
