This is absolutely heartbreaking.

Why didn't anyone report three women were missing?

If it's a Channel crossing, from what I understand, it's rare that women go on the boats from France, and when they do they are pushed to the back / bottom, where the risk of being crushed is high.

If it's not a crossing, what on earth has happened?

Words can't express how evil this is.

Three absolutely beautiful young women. And sisters, too, not just cousins! How must their parents feel. Utterly tragic.

Damn that has really made me well up

It’s beyond belief isn’t it! The utter pain for the family.

What a Tragedy , I just read their father's statement , I hope their family are receiving the support they need. May they rest in peace.

They were clearly close to go away all together in their 30s. So so utterly tragic.

Me too, the dad’s statement made me cry. Such a devastating loss of 3 stunning women. Unbelievable

I've just seen the update as well, that it was those three beautiful sisters. How absolutely devastating for their family.

They are just rope coiled into a red cylinder shaped bag - you keep hold of one end of the rope and throw the bag to the person in the water, and then reel them in with the rope. I’ve practiced both sides of the rescue and they are very effective (in rivers at least)

Sadly, I can see that the details of these three women have just been released.

Only just heard the tragic news - poor poor family. I really hope they are given some space. That’s a beautiful photo they’ve shared.

How awful - the poor family, losing three children in this way.
