Yikes Angela Scanlon

Did anyone else hear the car crash that was Angela Scanlon talking to Gary Davies on Radio 2 this morning? She was either still drunk or very hungover but it was a shambles, and not in a funny way. He held it together well, but she made herself sound a total idiot and like she's never had a mic in front of her face before.

Had to google her.

I heard it. At the end when she went "Oh my godddd" in an exasperated weird tone.
Mcdonalds- soo off brand for me dont tell anyone 😅 even my 10yo was like "hun you litterally just told everyone"

I didn't hear it but AS has always grated on me AS she seems to be one of those tedious people that tries to make out like they're soooo zany 🙄.

I really don’t understand why they keep putting on things, she’s awful.

I'm assuming she's been brought in as some sort of replacement for Scott Mills but they realllly seem to have made a poor choice with her. She was so out of her depth and it was awful.

At one point Gary asked her what she could see from her hotel (as in her view of Austria) and she started talking about the contents of her hotel room.

In another moment he tried to back her up but saying the position of Eurovision commentator was a hard one(can't remember his exact words) and she blathered on about what her view of the stage would be. She clearly thought he meant physical position in the arena.

Then our Euro entry happened to walk into her room, so she appeared to thrust a mic at him, but he had no idea he was on the radio and that Gary was trying to speak to him so it was just chaos. And these are just a few examples from what was probably a total of 10 minutes of chat. After the first segment with her finished I was surprised they let her continue into a second.

I think I heard the "oohhh god" at the end too. She probably needs to stay dry for the rest of the competition.

Glad it’s not just me. I noticed this when she was on Strictly. Not making eye contact makes her seem unlikeable. (And shifty. It’s hard to explain). Like she can’t be bothered to talk because the person asking her stuff is beneath her.

True, but she did acknowledge it was stupid and apologised for it.

I've never really liked her. She comes across as smug every time I see her.
And that kind of behaviour has put me off even more. I'd take Gary Davies any day.
Her Strictly appearance made me dislike her even more than before. You could clearly see that she thought she was better than the other contestants and the sulky face if the votes were low or she was in the dance off said it all!
There are plenty of people I'd rather not see on TV or hear on the radio and she's one of the top ones!

No idea what talent she is meant to have. Shrieky voice and sounded drunk on the bit of Eurovision I accidentally came across.

I get cringe vibes from a lot of female 40 something presenters. I think they feel the need to stay young’n’cool more than the men do, so they go all out with their ‘zany’ personalities and over the top shrieking and immaturity. They just come across as embarrassing.

As Eminem said, you’re too old, let go, it’s over.

I love her dress sense and loved the show “your home made perfect”. She also has very nice hair. Those things aside, I have no opinions. 😂

I loved her on her home / garden programme, but either she does better with a script or the attention went to her head as these days she’s been way over the ‘I’m mad me’ line on things like Strictly / podcasts.
