I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, while the cats birdwatch. It's much nicer in here when there are no random boxes yet to go in storage!

Dd1's up and about in London already - on her way to Coal Drops Yard for a record fair. She has her heart set on 2 new vinyls. And dd2's up and out here! She's off to two revision sessions at school, starting at 9 but meeting friends on the way.

My plan for the day is to finish painting in here - there's one corner I couldn't get to, so that's first on the list. Then a quick clean and mop. I have friends coming for drinks and takeaway early evening so want it to be nice 😊. I'll tidy and mop the kitchen and clean the bathroom too. Later on, I'll nip to Lidl for a few snacks & that'll be it, I think.

The four of us are well overdue a catch up & it's nice to be able to do it here! I avoided people round at the old place.

They'll probably leave around ten, so then it'll be bed time for me at least...probably not the girls 💤.

I've had 2 coffees and a bowl of porridge to keep me going until second breakfast at 10. I meet up with a friend every second Saturday, sometimes more. I will buy bread and something for dinner while I'm there. Once I've dropped her off, it'll be home to do the usual housework, sheets etc washed and dried (its raining here), dusting, hoovering and cleaning the bathroom. Enjoy your day

Just about to do the week shop, then home, chores, drop ds at work, then I'm going to an apiary this afternoon with friends.
Later, go for a run and then cook supper.

Somewhere in there I also need to replace a piece of glass in our greenhouse.

Morning @lucysmam I haven't been on one of threads in a while so it's lovely to hear about your new place.

DH and DD have gone on a jaunt this morning to collect something DH has bought from FB marketplace. DDog has gone to day care and I am about to start catching up on some work. I think if I can really focus, i can get what i need done in a few hours.

DD and I are going to go on a bit of a charity shop crawl later. I am also looking for vinyls and DD is after some clothes.

Not sure what's for dinner yet. Have a good day all.

Good morning all! I haven’t been on for a few weeks, things have been a wee bit hectic. We’re at the caravan. Came last night after collected DS12 from scouts. Stopped at Lidl on the way for some snacks and drinks and left my phone there. Had to go back but thankfully got it! Didn’t sit down until after 10.30 and I hadn’t even had dinner. Sushi, couple of cocktail cans (from my Lidl adventures) and bed. DH is up with the children and I’m having tea and pancakes in bed. Today we will let them play around the caravan site. Take the little one to the park and then head out for a nice walk and ice cream. Will give DCs something light at dinner and then when DS3 is in bed we will get a Chinese and a few drinkies. Sunny here at the minute so hopefully that lasts. Have a great day everyone!

I’m back in bed with a cuppa but will soon get myself in the shower ahead of taking the dogs for a run in the woods.

My sister in law and nieces are heading over this afternoon, and we will pop into town for a late lunch.

I plan to tackle my youngest sons bedroom this evening, it’s disgusting and I want to be able to use his desk for working from home.

I've just had a cup of tea in bed courtesy of DH who's heading out for the day.

Today I'm just catching up on housework, it's like a bomb site here, as last weekend we were helping my parents house clear. I reckon it'll take me until lunchtime whereupon I shall park myself in the garden if the sun is out, and possibly go for a run this afternoon with a podcast on.

Teen DDs will mooch about at home today. Tomorrow we're off to the seaside. We need to do some maintenance jobs for a charity we help with and DDs will tag along for the fish and chips.

Good morning all. I’m up and showered, DP and I need to pop over to Westfield shortly to run an errand. It’s possibly my least favourite place in the world, so am not really looking forward to that!

There’s a free music festival happening round the corner from us today, so we’ve got a friend joining us for that later. I suspect dinner will either be fish and chips or Caribbean takeaway from close to the venue. I’m hoping not to be home too late tonight as I’ve got quite a lot of jobs I want to get done tomorrow.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone. I have Houdini and his mummy here for a few days, which is lovely!

So my morning started early with getting Houdini his breakfast, and mine. Then while Mr Dilemma sat with him I had a shower. Houdini's mummy was up by the time I came down again.

This morning I have an appointment for an infusion at the hospital. My daughter and Houdini are going out for a walk and lunch with my ex and some or all of my other daughter's family. She will be out all afternoon so I will have a chance to do a bit of cleaning and tidying.

Mr Dilemma is cooking tonight, as we're having roast beef and he loves to cook a roast. Tomorrow we're having family lunch with an ENORMOUS gammon joint. I'm going to cook that in the slow cooker so I'll put it in to soak today so it's not too salty. Houdini LOVES 'ham', and the rest of the family do as well, so I'm sure that most of the ENORMOUS joint will get eaten.

I may give Houdini his bath and read him his bedtime story this evening. We have been reading from the 'Just So Stories' I love them, but on re-reading there really are quite of lot of things that are simply not appropriate for children today. I read him 'The Elephant's Child' which contains a lot of references to spanking. He asked what spanking was! I had to explain that it was a very old story and spanking wasn't something we did nowadays. When my older grandchildren were little I had to completely miss out 'How the Leopard got his Spots', as it is so racist! It wasn't thought to be at the time, after all these stories were written in 1902, but times have changed.

So, I'm having a lovely weekend!

Morning. Checking in from Andalucia. Was up at 6 thanks to the dog barking. I thought he needed to pee, but after taking him downstairs it became evident that the wind was the issue.
Will shortly drive to Jerez and pay for the bed we saw yesterday, then back for a sherry or 4 and spicy pulled pork.
Back to Jerez tomorrow afternoon for the feria

Dp Just made a fry up while I cleaned up a bit. Then going to take kids to the park. Afternoon in the garden having some people round.

Morning! We're at my 3 year old daughter's dance class at the moment. Viewing a house this afternoon after selling our flat earlier in the week. It ticks all our boxes from the pictures so very excited to see it in person!

We are working down 5 locks and then 3 swing bridges on the Cauldon Canal.

Ive been up 5 minutes.
I have nothing to do today so going to binge online.

@lucysmam One of my DC is works for a record label that's there. We're going to head over later to check it out and to an event they're having this evening. I'll try to have 'hello @lucysmam DD1' vibes going!

It’s really bad weather here, dark, wet and cold. 🙁
So a food shop & watch the Mario movie with dc today. I do have a copy of Devil Wears Prada 2 so might watch that tonight only been waiting 20 years for it. 😂

Morning @lucysmam and the Saturday gang. I’m still in bed but will crawl out soon to have breakfast and a shower. We have a grocery order coming in the late afternoon and I’d like to get a bit of work done in the meantime. I may head out to drop off some glass recycling and to stop at other shops for the items I didn’t get in the Tesco order. I’d like to catch a bit of the sun outside before the rain comes.

I’m telling myself only light homework today so I can focus on my desk work. So just stripping the bed and switching out the bathroom hand towels. I’ll do the proper cleaning tomorrow. Dinner tonight will likely be one leftover chicken stew. Have a lovely day folks.

Good morning all, our youngest has tonsillitis so she has slept really poorly so we’re all quite tired. We’ll likely have a quiet day at home, we do have lots to do though, we’ve had a lazy week so lots of cleaning and washing needs doing.

went for a swim with my sister this morning and she came back to mine for a cuppa. She’s just gone and I’m going to sort myself out and head into town to get a birthday present for a friend I’m seeing tonight, there’s a group of us going out for dinner.
Dh and ds left about 10 minutes ago for his last football match of the season and they’re going straight from there to go and pick up his new cricket whites which have arrived to the shop, his first match of the season is tomorrow!
Might get some lunch when I’m out, it’s nice and sunny out and there are some lovely spots I can sit and enjoy lunch in the sunshine.

Sounds like a fun evening @lucysmam, good you can have people over in your new home. Nothing better than a good goss.
It raining here again and looks set in for the day.
I need to go out for a birthday present and card. Might pop in to the butchers for something nice for tea, and the bakery for a sourdough loaf.
No other plans. DS is in the shower and will then crack on with some geography revision. First A level on Tuesday!

I am drinking my way through the teapot, washing is on the line and I have been seeing and hearing swifts.
I have been away for a while, firstly at a big pagan do and then up to Scotland to sign papers and clear out the sold cottage.
I am very sad, it is the end of an era, but there it is.
Trying to be positive about the new conservatory roof I'm planning.
The pagan do was fab.

It was bloody hard work and I am still exhausted. But quietly proud of my superlative packing abilities, getting things fitted into the vans, also known as Van Tetris.
And forever grateful to the wonderful friends who helped.
So I am emptying the van bit by bit, wondering where the hell everything will go. I have given away vast amounts to friends, left some beautiful furniture in the cottage (by arrangement) and have loads of stuff ready for a friend who is leaving her awful partner, let's hope it's soon.
I missed the Snooker finals too. 😕

Had a moochy morning so far. Doing bits and pieces around the house. I have a ton of stuff for vinted so want to do that. Some nice things of Dhs so hope they sell well.

Meeting family this afternoon for a dog walk and not much else planned.

Afternoon all! It’s lovely and sunny here!

I got up about half ten I think after coffee in bed and DP made me boiled eggs on toast then I did my meal plan, picked my mum up and went to Tesco.

Came home and unpacked then made a soup using up all the left over bits and pieces from last week - 3 soft tomatoes, half an onion, half a pepper, a sad carrot and some garlic roasted in air fry for 15m with oregano, basil and chilli flakes then blitzed. Decided at the last minute to tip in a lonely half tub of hummus and got myself two portions of blooming delicious soup!

Sat to watch the football and now that’s over I’ll take our sheets in off the line and pop them back on the bed (love line dried fresh sheets so much!) and then probably wander over to the cricket club to watch the second half of DP’s match. Might have a nice cold lager while I do!

Fando’s for dinner for me, DP, DSD and DSS - think DMIL might be coming over too - there’ll be plenty either way.
