What's your favourite reform policy?

My favourite three are:

  1. Using public money to subsidize private health care, I really like this one because it will mean that I, a high earner who already gets private health care, will save at least 20% on my care and I don't really care if it means that there's less for others who need the NHS.
  2. Banning working from home. I hate how empty the office has become and I'm bored there now, there's no one to talk to. And I think wfh people are lazy.
  3. Taxing women who don't have children. The WHOLE PURPOSE of being a woman is to have kids! Not doing it is selfish.

What are your favourites?

I can't wait to lose my job due to wfh and dei initiatives being scrapped. I hate work anyway and the extra pressure on my dh will really make him feel on charge.
And the loss of my disability benefits too, which will stop me having additional treatments not available on the NHS and will expedite my death, meaning I won't have to be a drain on society any more. Woohoo!

I can't wait to lose my job due to wfh and dei initiatives being scrapped

That really is a difficult conundrum for Reform Councils.

Due to Conservative government austerity and council budget cuts, my LA sold off many, many offices.
No choice but to WFH.(no desk).

Reform Council Leader is going to save the council BILLIONS

🤔MMM…saving billions by buying back office space so that the workforce has somewhere to work.

Looking forward to Reform problem solving to keep their promises!

Forgive me for not believing for one second that Trump will accept reality and walk away in January 2029.

Well, I suppose he could just tear up the constitution and provoke a civil war. In which case we (and the rest of the world) would have rather more serious problems than a Farage-led government.

MabelRoyds · 08/05/2026 13:37

This seems a High pitched nervous laughter type thread. It’s obviously very unnerving having a rise in support for an untried party. I wonder what Keir is thinking today. The message from the country is that they want patriotism and don’t like the way we are going. Will the votes be listened to by anyone other than Nige?

Bloozie · 08/05/2026 13:41

It’s not a policy as such but I’m looking forward to becoming a Christian country built on Christian values again.

I know what you’re thinking. No. I don’t mean loving thy neighbour as thyself, giving to those less fortunate than us and turning the other cheek.

I mean restricting religious and reproductive freedoms, and ensuring women fulfil a traditional role in the family, while making sure those less fortunate than me never see a penny of my money and using divisive narratives to fuel hatred and suspicion.

Like a good Christian.

I agree with this. The alternative is to let in more people off the boats. A successful market economy needs an ever growing amount of consumers. Where else would they come from?

Just impregnate all women at 16 and repeat every two years until they are thirty, then euthanasia, nothing more required of them.

Feel free to search my previous posts for even the slightest shred of evidence for me being a reform voter. You'll find I've voted Tory or our local independent candidate (when we've had one), for years.

Of course, that no where near as much fun as calling random strangers on the internet liars, while hiding behind a string of numbers instead of a recognisable user name.

And yes, I am pissed off that I'm being 1. called a liar, and 2. accused of voting for reform by yet another sneering sanctimonious blue haired green party voter.

I happen to have (quite expensively) highlighted brown and sort of caramel hair.

And you might want to rethink your insults, since sanctimonious and blue haired are a bit tired, don't you think? I mean, you've had to resort to them twice in this thread alone.

And I have no interest in spending the time searching out your previous posts, but I'm surprised that someone who spends their time 'sneering' at others

but my favourite part will be seeing the look on the faces of sanctimonious twats like the OP when they realise that looking down their nose and sneering at people

has turned out to be such a snowflake about an anonymous stranger suspecting they don't dislike reform as much as they're implying.

I am the same, no desk in an office so no choice but to wfh. But also a disability that forces me to as well.

Mind you, they'll fire all the disabled people and woman who get pregnant so maybe there will be enough desks in-office after all!

My OH announced he voted Reform yesterday. How can I tell him he's a fucking twat without calling him a fucking twat.

Serious question - anyone??

He’s not a twat. Who did you vote for?

LouiseTold · 08/05/2026 15:46

Yes I like those suggestions. Health insurance model has much better outcomes in Germany, it wasn’t an outright ban on WFH just on some public sector workers and lower taxes for people with children is a great idea.

FernandoSor · 08/05/2026 15:54

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the Reform policy of no WFH is only for public sector - it would be hard to see how they could enforce that for private sector. Commuting to my nearest office would be 3 hours out of my day and thousands of pounds in train tickets just to sit in a cubicle doing exactly what I do at home. None of my team, including my boss, are based in the UK so it would be pointless.

CrazyWorldBlues · 08/05/2026 16:51

Bringing back threepenny bits.
Compulsory smoking for under 16’s
Sending the work shy up chimneys.

I voted for my local Conservative because he gets things done in my home area

menopausalfart · 08/05/2026 18:27

I'm looking forward to getting richer when people are taken off disability benefits and put to work.

menopausalfart · 08/05/2026 18:29

@CrazyWorldBlues I remember most people had coal fires. The air used to be thick with smoke. Bring them back and give kids a real job.

I like their plans to step out of ECHR and also scrap the minimum wage or workers rights. I’m clever and never been on mw and I retire in 3 years anyway.

Did you read above…my council had to sell our offices to meet the year on year Conservative budget cuts.

No desk, nevermind an office to return to! 😂

I queried above how Reform are going to make public sector staff return to work and save money , when they are going to have to buy so many office blocks. 🤔

BlueLakeView · 08/05/2026 19:35

I just can't wait for the people who vote for them to realise what they have done, but it will be too late then. I give them one term maximum.

Yep, they will be out in 2029. Good riddance.

Well the Council could always reduce the headcount making efficiencies there and allowing employees to work from an office.

It could also be structured as work from an office or don't work at all.
