What's your favourite reform policy?

BobbieTables · 08/05/2026 08:36

My favourite three are:

  1. Using public money to subsidize private health care, I really like this one because it will mean that I, a high earner who already gets private health care, will save at least 20% on my care and I don't really care if it means that there's less for others who need the NHS.
  2. Banning working from home. I hate how empty the office has become and I'm bored there now, there's no one to talk to. And I think wfh people are lazy.
  3. Taxing women who don't have children. The WHOLE PURPOSE of being a woman is to have kids! Not doing it is selfish.

What are your favourites?

Well when anyone pregnant can be sacked with impunity ditto disabled person etc and NHS waiting list are allowed to grow to justify privatisation which will cost everyone a fortune you can moan all you like. This is the man who sold you Brexit which has made us all poorer. Forgive me if I do think people who voted for this snake oil salesman are misguided but that’s what experience shows us.

Now now! Don't be all emotional about this, think of the corporations and the business men.

Well I'm no reform voter by any stretch of the imagination, but my favourite part will be seeing the look on the faces of sanctimonious twats like the OP when they realise that looking down their nose and sneering at people has not had the desired effect and just maybe they should try listening to reform voters rather than just dismissing them all as stupid racists.

Really? That's your favourite part??
It won't happen though, because you don't know the OP?

For me the biggie is getting rid of maternity leave. It’s not as if it’s needed! Too indulgent

You won't need it because women in the workplace are just another example of DEI/wokeness gone crazy. Thankfully, we'll all be at home, beating the washing against a rock like nature intended.

Are you fucking having a laugh.

Laughing all the way to the bank! I mean, my husband, a business owner will be, and I'll get my allowance for housekeeping and live in a lovely house.

Gosh I'm the opposite of smug at these council results: genuinely alarmed at the rise of Reform and seriously concerned about the future of the country, especially as someone married to an immigrant.

Surely it's the Reform voters who are smug, given that the party is on the rise?

My OH announced he voted Reform yesterday. How can I tell him he's a fucking twat without calling him a fucking twat.

Serious question - anyone??

What's wrong with calling him a fucking twat?

I’m looking forward to out next PM being in Trump’s back pocket, having religiously supported him by campaigning for Trump at his rallies. Can’t wait for our military to be deployed to Hormuz to serve at the behest of Kegstand Pete and come home in body bags.

I also quite like the idea of a leader who accepts £5,000,000. Shakes up the status quo, innit.

Trump and his administration will be gone before the next UK general election.

I really don't understand the argument that we should coddle people who can't be bothered to look deeply enough before voting to realise they might be voting against their own interests? Exhibit A: Trump. They're adults, not children.

My favourite Green Party policy is Modern Monetary Theory where they intend to pay for their increase Government spending by simply printing more money.

Simples - no need to worry about Government debt, interest rates or bond markets- just print as much as you like. Except it doesn't didn't work out too well in Weimar Germany, Zimbabwe or Venezuela:

On Zack Polanski’s Magic Money Tree, economic gravity simply doesn’t exist

The Green Party leader thinks Modern Monetary Theory is a cure for Britain’s woes — others see it as snake oil at best, writes Jonathan Prynn

Best you get back to the housework then.

Im looking forward to seeing all those illegal immigrants deported to the Falkland Islands where its cold, wet and miserable. There are only 12000 people there so plenty of room. However we will be kind and provide them with tents.

Forgive me for not believing for one second that Trump will accept reality and walk away in January 2029.

You could respond with a genuine point about what policies you like / voted for?

None of them - but they're responding to large numbers of voters and ignoring that or calling those voters stupid isn't going to achieve or change anything.

Forgive me for not believing you're not a reform voter.

Feel free to search my previous posts for even the slightest shred of evidence for me being a reform voter. You'll find I've voted Tory or our local independent candidate (when we've had one), for years.

Of course, that no where near as much fun as calling random strangers on the internet liars, while hiding behind a string of numbers instead of a recognisable user name.

And yes, I am pissed off that I'm being 1. called a liar, and 2. accused of voting for reform by yet another sneering sanctimonious blue haired green party voter.

Looking forward to the concentration camps detention centres.

Don’t forget about those who are genuinely seeking asylum will not be able to apply if they enter the country illegally. They’ll be deported back to the country that’s threatening their life.

Kelticgold · 08/05/2026 13:22

I am looking forward to seeing how the policy for the fishing industry will work out. In theory, it is not too bad (no irony here) but in practice, it seems unworkable.
I am also noticing how quiet they have been around the matter this time. It is very surprising, considering Nigel Farage was a member of the European Parliament Fisheries Committee, he is an expert!

No need to be rude! I love reform! Maybe you are of like mind and we could share the policies we love here in order to let the sanctimonious people know our beliefs?
What is your favourite policy?

Also, if I was one of those sanctimonious people you could just look at my face today which has been a great day for our party! They're top in England now!
