I’ve made breakfast and lunch, done a load of washing and hung it outside but other than that I’ve been in bed with a stonking hormonal headache! I’m off tomorrow and Wednesday when DH and the kids are back at work/school though so trying not to feel too guilty about not doing much. Going to have a hot bath later and an early night so I can enjoy my days off and get jobs done in peace.

Ilikewinter · 04/05/2026 15:36

We've been to the garden centre and put some plants in the front garden, now having a brew whilst scrolling (DH has footie on!) as its a bit chilly today we've decided on pie and mash for tea.

FeelingALittleWoozyHere · 04/05/2026 15:41

Went for a long walk with the kids this morning, stopped off at a fair for some fresh donuts. Got home, had a chill out then I've come for a long gym session (weights, cardio, sauna, shower) whilst DH watches footie and makes a roast. Will get home, eat said roast, probably have another walk then watch the new Rooster with a cup of tea 😀

frozendaisy · 04/05/2026 15:45

Lazy morning blasting the kitchen after everything being used (think all kitchen appliances plus everything else)

Teens doing garden jobs (for cold hard cash obviously)

Roast meat in
H will visit his mum in a bit I will prep rest of roast with 6music

Teens will study in a bit
Eat chat watch some family tv

Could be worse

daffodilandtulip · 04/05/2026 16:15

DS out with mates and DD at uni. Walked the dog, ate a salad, drank lots of coffee and finished my book. Now lying in the bath contemplating the fine dining options of spaghetti on toast or fish finger sandwiches.

KnitFastDieWarm · 04/05/2026 16:18

@PrincessHoneysuckle I bloody love a police documentary! any recommendations?

DC have gone to exH’s so I’m knitting and listening to podcasts with a large coffee - bliss

Rowgtfc72 · 04/05/2026 16:22

6-12 at work this morning. Bonus early finish with it being bank holiday.
Dh met me with the sausage dog halfway home so didn't have to go back out again.
Quick trip to cooplands for a Danish pastry, Tesco for some pringles where I bumped into an old friend. Now watching Run Fatboy Run in my pjs with a cuppa.
All in all not a bad day.

HelpMeGetThrough · 04/05/2026 16:29

Weeded the gravel and patio in the back this morning. Did a couple of loads of washing. Have sat all afternoon with a beer.

Pie and mash for tea.

tinyspiny · 04/05/2026 16:32

I’m having a perfect afternoon sitting watching IPL cricket on Sky whilst my lovely husband is cleaning the windows , snack tea for him tonight , his choice and I’m having a salad so nothing arduous .

Oneandanotheroneistwo · 04/05/2026 16:35

Lazy morning, took the kids swimming and then went to pizza express for lunch. Now we're just sat watching tv in a food coma. Well, all of us except DS who, despite not napping today seems to have endless energy 😴

Morepositivemum · 04/05/2026 16:43

Cleaned too much. Exhausted. Had to be done unfortunately 😅😅😅

Thickasabrick89 · 04/05/2026 16:44

We went to a really amazing but local free park with brilliant cycle track, BMX track etc with our 4 year old. Just had a wholesome day

Raven08 · 04/05/2026 16:49

Cleaning/washing/ironing in preparation for back to work/college tomorrow
Showered etc
Cooked lunch
Popped in to see mum
Now at home lying on my bed, about to read my book
Dh and dd1 going out later
I will have a shandy 🍺 and watch TV with my feet up ☺️

FionnulaTheCooler · 04/05/2026 16:49

Got two loads of washing done this morning and hung out. Had a nice walk round the park and a picnic lunch with DH and DD. Caught up on my ironing this afternoon while DH helped DD with a craft project she's doing. Going to start making the tea soon then out to my fitness class later so I can eat the fudge doughnut we stopped off at the bakers on the way back from the park from guilt free this evening.

gingercat02 · 04/05/2026 16:51

I had a lie in, breakfast and a garden tidy up, lovely salady lunch.
Took DS for a walk to talk and take his mind off A levels in a week.
Now sitting in the garden with a beer, chatting to DH who has just come in from a run.
Steak, chips and roasted veg for tea and some wine 🍷 cos i have a flexi day tomorrow
Perfect!

AgnesMcDoo · 04/05/2026 16:52

Rooster is great, we have only just discovered it.

Youshouldbestrongerthanme · 04/05/2026 16:56

Hubby and I have spent a lot of the day cleaning/tidying the house as lots of birthdays in May so lots of guests!

Hedjwitch · 04/05/2026 16:56

A wee trip to beach to get DH out and in the fresh air.( He is quite ill). Then gardening, being given 6 brown eggs from a nearby neighbour who keeps chickens, and now a hot bath. Venison mince for dinner( nicer than beef).
A good day

MummyInTheNecropolis · 04/05/2026 17:05

Went for a run early this morning, came back and had a shower and some breakfast, then chilled on the sofa for a bit. Went to an exercise class with DD at lunchtime, had a walk in the park then went to a village fete with my DSis and her kids. Home now, DD chilling in her room, I’m on the sofa with a blanket about to catch up on masterchef. Did the housework yesterday so all nice and clean and no jobs to do. Also cooked yesterday so dinner is done, just needs to be warmed up later. Looking forward to a nice lazy evening.

AddictedToBooks · 04/05/2026 17:07

We've done up the front garden (renewing the bark, planting new plants, painting the fences etc), did the grocery shop and finished reading "It's Always The Husband" by C.L Taylor.
Not been feeling well for a few days so I'm making a simple chilli and baked potatoes for tea and then sneaking off for a lovely shower and hairwash and then to bed to watch Episode 7 of The Neighbourhood (my secret new guilty pleasure) and then a movie or start watching C5's Number One Fan.
Hoping my grotty temper and general grotty feeling will have gone by tomorrow.

TheChosenTwo · 04/05/2026 17:08

Been quite a lazy one for us today after a busy couple of days.
i was up early for a swim, came back and dh and I finished garden jobs we started yesterday. This was all done by 10am.
Although I’ve done a few bits and bobs around the house (washing, dishwasher etc) we’ve not done much else other than watch a bit of telly.
Ds and I are going to play padel in a bit though while dh sorts dinner, tandoori roast chicken with garlic rice and flatbreads. Looking forward to that tonight.

ZenNudist · 04/05/2026 17:10

Not perfect for me sadly. We were cleaning and tidying the holiday house we stayed in for the weekend and now home unpacking. It's a lot of work for a few days away but the long weekend makes it a more relaxing prospect. Had a great few days in the Peak District though.

Tel12 · 04/05/2026 17:11

Cut the grass. Despatched spent bulbs, got chat to plan the summer bedding replacements. Pondered the garden centre for longer than necessary and decided to leave it till tomorrow when most people are at work.

Rawrrawr1 · 04/05/2026 17:25

DH has been strimming the garden, i have tidyed after having lots or people round yesterday. DS has been in and out of the garden and we are now all watching flight of the navigator (retro) yesterday's leftovers for dinner.. Nice and easy
