I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, after pottering in the kitchen since getting up. Boy cat's watching the birds from on top of one of the last boxes waiting to be moved out of here. Girl's gone back to bed with dd2.

We're not up to much today - my dad's lending me his mower shortly since the blades for mine haven't arrived yet, so I'll mow the grass, and sand the filler I didn't get round to yesterday. Hopefully my friend's collecting her suitcases I borrowed for moving (she can get a lift to collect them, I'd have to walk them back, just in case anyone pulls a face at her coming for them!).

Other than that, I'd like to get round to painting the other side of the conservatory and need to do an online shop.

Dd2 has her Spanish speaking GCSE tomorrow first thing, so will be practising Spanish all day no doubt. And dd1 will probably mooch in pj's complaining about the lack of snacks...sharing a bedroom...having to turn lights out...having to wash up after someone else has cooked...everything and anything she can think of really 🙄.

No idea what's for tea yet but after the kitchen's tidied I'll have my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower and an hour with my book before bed ready for the coming week 💤💤.

What about all of you? 🙂

Morning @lucysmam
I'm still in bed, my usual class isn't on as the instructor is on holiday so I'm having a lazy start.
We need to cut the grass too, and I have a few other garden jobs to do. It's still cold up here so not sure how much will get done.
No other plans really so quiet Sunday I think.

DeepFriedCreamEgg · Yesterday 09:33

It's a day of household chores mainly here. Mini egg wants a bike ride and duck feed later so possibly go to a local park she will be after an ice cream so I'll take one from home. Ice cream van ice-creams for three is best part of a tenner! It's crazy!

Thislittlekitten · Yesterday 09:40

Morning everyone.

Im sitting outside with DDog. Bit chilly here but nice to get some air. Had a cup of tea in bed earlier and have seen DS off for the day. DD is still asleep. Sleepover here with friends. Not sure when they will rise. Dcats are out and about after having breakfast.

I have work to do but think will have another cup of tea before I start.

I really am in the mood for roast beef but nobody else wants a full roads. Maybe with some crusty bread. DDog needs a bigger walk too. House is fairly tidy but usual clothes to sort.

I'm really struggling with my book. Will give it another go today then might call it a day with it if I can’t get into it.

Topsy44 · Yesterday 09:40

Just about to get another coffee and watching some of the marathon while scrolling.

Will call my elderly Mum for a natter shortly and then the usual uniform and work washing. DD14 is still full of cold so I don’t think she will move far from the sofa today🙂.

I’ll try to get out in the garden later to read my book only - I planned to do this yesterday and ended up doing a load of gardening and feel shattered today!!!

CaptainCorelli · Yesterday 09:41

Only just woke up, slept for nearly 10 hours! Need to check on DD who wasn’t well yesterday and has an exam on Monday. DH and I are then planning to go out for a few hours to make the most of the sunshine. Walk and light lunch to a place we’ve not been before and then back to iron DS’s school shirts for the week ahead while DH makes Sunday dinner. Then watching Grace and bed. Love weekends!

PinkNailPolish2026 · Yesterday 09:43

I’m considering going back to bed and starting the day over again. We’ve been up since 4.30 when we were wakened by an almighty bang, it turned out to be a motorhome misjudging the road, going into a ditch and toppling into one of our fields. To cut a long story short, the occupants are ok, we’ve rounded up the sheep from the field and recovery of the vehicle is underway. Welcome to life living on the NC500…

We’re going on holiday next week so I’ll be starting to decide what I need to take, I might have a wee fashion show to myself this afternoon to decide. Sunday dinner is at BIL & SIL’s today so at least I don’t need to think about cooking.

MarmaladeSandwich7 · Yesterday 09:47

Good morning @lucysmam & The Sunday Crew. In bed listening to the birds singing. I heard the dawn chorus the other day which was lovely. Looks like not quite such glorious weather today. DH has just gone in the bathroom & I’ll have a shower/hairwash when he’s finished. Love Sundays when I’m not working. We’ve had a cuppa which I made. Would have asked DD & her GF if they wanted a hot drink too but they were still asleep. Awake now. Not sure what their plans are. I was meant to be visiting DM at the care home but have an upset tum 😢 I think I’ll have a sorting day. The pile of clothes on my bedroom stool is nearly toppling over! DH & I might go to buy a new iron then I can do some bits to put on Vinted. Going to photograph some TJC rings that I have barely worn & are now sadly too big. I didn’t hoover up the rabbit poo yesterday so will do that after my shower. There’s washing to bring in & a load to hang out, plus the dishwasher to do. Need to pop to Boots for some painkillers & might have a quick look in The Card Factory ,although we sell lovely cards at work & I get a discount. There’s a pearl wedding anniversary in the family later this year. No idea what’s for tea. We could have bangers & mash as there’s loads of spuds. I usually do a meal plan on Fridays but haven’t done one for this coming week yet. Might put a film on tonight. Have a lovely day all 🙂🙂🙂

Whiskyfromsmallglasses · Yesterday 09:54

Morning. I was up at 8am which is a decent lie in for me since getting our kitten. Made meatballs and they are now in the slower cooker with the sauce for tea. Going to hoover in a minute the spread of cat litter is one thing that bothers me with having a kitten.

Going to have a lazy day today. Finish my book and have a bath. I did a lot of garden jobs last weekend and apart from hoovering all the housework is up to date. Hope everyone enjoys their day!

ShipshapeShore · Yesterday 09:55

I decided to have a slow morning and stop rushing round for a day. Feel a bit guilty about not going to church or the gym but I really do need the rest. Lots of washing to do though, of course!

Out later for a Sunday Roast at a local pub. I'm really looking forward it.

Doyouknowdanieltiger · Yesterday 09:57

Morning everyone!

Lots of laundry to do today (bedding) luckily it's a nice day so I can hang it all out. DD had a sleepover at grandma's so will be returning later, then it's bath night.

Currently sat with a cuppa watching Mr Mercedes on Netflix whilst DS plays with his many cars.

Hope everyone has a great day.

fouroclockrock · Yesterday 10:03

Im on my 2nd tea of the morning. Gearing myself up to move and have a shower. Listening to my son on the phone to his friend. Im going to try and convince him again to move his bedroom furniture around with me later so it looks nicer but I dont hold out much hope. Ive got about half an hour of work to do if I do it without messing around but not sure I am in the mood to focus! Would also like to walk for an hour or so by the river.

Heyhelga · Yesterday 10:03

We've all had scrambled eggs on toast for breakie and now DH is outside washing the cars, DS is about to sit down for online maths tutorial and I'm about to go upstairs and clean the bathroom. No major plans after that. I might pop to B&M at some point but we went to the beach yesterday and then carried on down out down the road for my nieces birthday meal at Wagamamas last night so I will be quite happy with a housebound day today.

Mumofyellows · Yesterday 10:07

Driving to North Wales for a week in a cottage with DH and our dogs!

Tiddlywinks63 · Yesterday 10:14

Good morning everyone, I’m sitting in my Shed, eating toast with marmite and enjoying the p&q despite tiddler snoring
I haven’t done much and have little intention of doing so today 😁
I will start a new embroidery in a bit and I have sorted out dinner (roast chicken, new potatoes, green beans / a salad for me)
I’m still waiting to see an oncologist, nearly 9 weeks after being told I’m stage 4 lung cancer. I have chased up every option, zilch 😢
I’ve given up worrying about, I can’t think any treatment will start before July at this rate.
I know I’m having biopsies somewhen, then it’s 3-4 weeks for results then further 3-4 weeks to first oncology appointment then god knows how long before immunotherapy chemo.
it’s soul destroying.
Sorry to moan, my life has changed irrevocably since the end of February.

Tangerinesattack · Yesterday 10:41

Thinking of you, @Tiddlywinks63 .

Megsdaughter · Yesterday 10:48

Woke up at 9, still with a cold but feeling more myself this morning. I dont drink coffee or tea so it was really cold water for me. I dont eat till 12, so it was straight into the shower dressed then out into the garden watching the pigeon that has nested in our honeysuckle. I dont know if it has babies in there I cant here them.

Its so quiet here on Salisbury Plain today we live in a village right in the middle and the peace is wonderful.

DH has washed the kitchen floor and is niw in the kitchen cutting up veg to make a soup for lunch. Gyros Pork for tea in wraps with salad. Lovely.

DGD2 facetimes to show me the new dance she was doing at Stagecoach yesterday, she is 9 and never stops.

Dont know what we will watch tonight, we were watching The Capture on BBC1 but ut finished last week. Signed up for Disney+ as its on at the moment for £3.99 for 3 months, so will go through that and see what catches our eye.

QueenStevie · Yesterday 10:52

Hi everyone, DD is home from uni as we went to a local show last night. She will go back at some point today as she has exams and assessments due this week. I have planning to do for this week in work which I will crack on with in a minute! Spent yesterday in and out of the garden and went it for tea yesterday so we will just have a quickie pasta tea tonight and I am going to catch up on some telly that I've missed this week.

OchreSwan · Yesterday 11:04

Good morning all. Sorry to hear it’s taking so long to start your treatment @Tiddlywinks63, so frustrating for you.

I’ve been out for a run in the sunshine this morning, had my shower, put on dishwasher and washing machine, and will go and dry my hair shortly. We ended up at the pub yesterday and I had to take myself off to bed at about 9pm as I was so knackered from the week, so hoping for a very relaxed day today!

DP and I will pop out to do the weekly shop this afternoon, and will get all the ingredients to do grilled chicken burgers for dinner. I’ve got a massive pile of laundry to sort, but otherwise hoping to spend most of the rest of the day reading, knitting, and watching the snooker and the marathon! Have a lovely day all.

Tangerinesattack · Yesterday 11:07

Morning all.
Not quite as sunny here which is good for DH as he's working on the gable of our(black) house today and he prefers not to be boiled.

We've had a slowish start with bagels and bacon for breakfast. I think I'll spend an hour on some housework then have a fairly chilled afternoon. I'll see if ds fancies a walk to the shops as I need to buy some filo pastry. Might be able to tempt him with a hot chocolate.

As I said yesterday, I'm feeling a bit unsettled right now. I'm dropping to part time next month. It's much needed for my health and wellbeing but I'm freaking out a bit, despite having wanted to do it for ages. It's a big change and I'm worried I'm not going to make good use of the time, whatever that means. I was very ratty yesterday because it was on my mind so my goal for today is to avoid being a total grump. Existential crises are no excuse!

Dinner tonight is a wholly unseasonable curry cauliflower cheese pie, and we might do smores over the fire pit, too. Have a lovely day, everyone.

Taytocrisps · Yesterday 11:09

Just back from a long walk (three laps of the park). It's lovely out - sunny but not too hot yet. The park was quiet - the odd dog walker but not too busy.

DD is gone to work. I think she's feeling bit sorry for herself, having to work on such a lovely day.

DCats are snoozing beside me on the sofa, all curled up together.

Going to have some breakfast and then jump in the shower.

I've to do some laundry and cleaning jobs.

I cooked dinner yesterday and I've leftovers for today. I just need to cook some rice to go with it, but that's not too onerous.

Need to phone my elderly Dad in a bit. He strained his back yesterday, trying to do something in the garden. My brother took him to A&E - he's on assorted painkillers. I probably need to chat to my siblings also, so we can sort out care for him. He's not bed bound, but doing anything is likely to be very painful. My two sisters are calling into him today, so there's no point in me travelling over today also.

DD and I have started re-watching the Harry Potter films, in advance of the new HP series coming out. We watched the first one last night, but DD fell asleep before the end. Guess we'll watch the rest of it tonight.

I'm so sorry to hear of your diagnosis @Tiddlywinks63. You're not moaning, just chatting to some friends.

Almondbeans · Yesterday 11:14

Ive done all my laundry done all the cleaning chores.
Now having coffee and going to binge online all day, with any interruptions.

zingally · Yesterday 11:14

Had a lazy-ish morning so far...
A short potter in the garden resulted in finding a snail sitting amongst my brand new strawberry plants... Dropped him over next doors fence. ;) Then bought the wheelie bin into the garage to have a little bit of a clear out of assorted garden detritus prior to Wednesday's collection.
Nothing planned for this afternoon... Might pop out the front and pull a few weeds. I try and do a little bit every week from April to September to try and prevent it being a massive all-afternoon job every 6 weeks instead.
Dinner is going to be a fake McDonalds, cheeseburgers and fries.

MarmaladeSandwich7 · Yesterday 11:17

@Tiddlywinks63 my goodness, you’re not moaning at all! Can’t begin to imagine how you’re feeling. Do you have family & friends close by to support you? 💐💐💐

ghostyslovesheets · Yesterday 11:18

Feeling shattered as I had to kitten sit last night - dd had her bf over so they were in my room - one woke at 4:30 and had the zoomies for an hour!

im recovering form the worst cold

Hfiajfbdoflv · Yesterday 11:19

Good morning :)

I’ve been up since 5am with the littlest who has just done Junior Park Run with me. Honestly I really just want a relaxing day, but the kids will go crazy if they are inside for long; and we are in London so we’ll go and cheer on the marathon soon.

I’m having a moment of just wishing I was in the house alone and could have a nap and watch some rubbish on TV!
