If you wanted interesting cushions, where would you go?

I'd like a small collection of cushions for the sofa. I'm thinking of a small pallet of contrasting colours, but not actually matching or a set as such.

I had a look in Dunelm and wasn't very impressed. I'm happy to gather them over time, one "piece" at a time. Where from?

I’ve bout lots from this amazing woman. She’s so skilful and great quality. I promise I’ve no affiliation to her.

I’ve bought lots of fabulous cushions and bunting from this fabulous talented woman. I have no affiliation to her at all.

Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Oliver Bonas, Rocket St George, Ian Snow. Think I got some from Etsy too.

Next have loads - good variety and decent price. I had to buy them in quantities for a recent project and return those that weren’t suitable. The returns process was so simple. But we did in fact keep a lot as they were great quality.

Definitely TkMaxx/Home Sense. Great selection and quality for a good price.

Badballerina · 18/04/2026 20:43

TK Maxx and John Lewis or an independent store - don't really rate Dunelm cushions tho great for other things

Def a one at a time purchases but very lovely. These are all ones we sell where I work (interiors).

Definitely TK Maxx, or Homesense if you have one near you. They always have a great range. I could spend hours in Homesense!

I’ve bought some gorgeous ones from here

John Lewis or TKMaxx

SurleyTurnip · 18/04/2026 23:06

I was in TK Max today and they had some lovely cushions. Matalan often have nice ones too. The Range is an option but the quality sometimes isn’t as good.

Another vote for Tk Maxx

TomatoSandwiches · 18/04/2026 23:09

People always compliment my Ray Clarke atelier cushions.

Error404FucksNotFound · 18/04/2026 23:12

Id go to fabric shops, buy the ones I wanted then make them.
You can get all manner of gorgeous fabrics and cushions are a piece of piss to make

John Lewis do some gorgeous cushions.

They do indeed.

However, if you are after a somewhat eclectic collection of cushions, you need to have the patience to let it grow organically. You’ll find one piece, then another one, and others somewhere else. Just keep your eyes peeled.
