If you wanted interesting cushions, where would you go?

I'd like a small collection of cushions for the sofa. I'm thinking of a small pallet of contrasting colours, but not actually matching or a set as such.

I had a look in Dunelm and wasn't very impressed. I'm happy to gather them over time, one "piece" at a time. Where from?

Tk maxx and home sense! They very rarely have the same style in request though so if you see some you like get them.

MeAndLicorice · 18/04/2026 13:19

Etsy - you can search by colour or theme and choose mismatched ones that will work together.

I got one from rockett St George after I was made redundant twice in 6 months. Makes me laugh every time I walk past it

Id go to a local independent furnishings type place, there are a couple near me have all kinds of different designs and will make covers for you from any facric you choose

Probably more expensive than TKMaxx but definitely something more usual

Tk maxx

I got a lovely mismatched group from LaRedoute. I just picked ones I liked from their range with a view to how they'd work together.

Blackcountryexile · 18/04/2026 14:05

I think Habitat at Sainsburys and Argos have some nice ones.

JadeSeahorse · 18/04/2026 14:09

Not normally where I would shop at all but I have recently had 2 new leather sofas and needed new cushions as the old ones looked drab to me.

After scouring the internet I found some fabulous looking ones on Temu. As I say I normally wouldn't risk it there but they were from a local supplier and the price was very good so took a chance.

They are stunning and machine washable too. Would have no hesitation in trying there again but stick with UK suppliers who are listed or you can filter for them.

Agree, and I'd add Sainsburys & Tesco to that list as well.

I'd probably check second hand shops/car boot sales and TK Maxx, and then just pick stuff up wherever I saw it as and when.

TheNinjaWife · 18/04/2026 14:38

I have started to buy cushion covers from markets when on holiday. Lots of interesting designs, attached to good memories.

CurlewKate · 18/04/2026 15:28

TKMaxx

OneGreenSheep · 18/04/2026 15:31

I’ve got quite a few from Etsy after browsing Pinterest for fabric inspo.

John Lewis or Next for High Street though.
