If you had an opportunity to go to the Moon, would you?

I would, without doubt.
Fascinating.
I’m not sure about going to the ISS for months and months, but a week around the Moon, totally. Even better if I could do a space walk.

It was a toss up between the bottom of the ocean or a rocket to the moon, I’d have to choose moon but I’d hate it and I think I wouid be claustrophobic and a bit moany to be honest. Plus if you didn’t get on with your other colleagues , you can’t get away from them. Then there is the toilet situation and astronaut food.

You paint a nice picture. I have an image of you with a resting bitch face staring out of a porthole mouthing "fuck you" as you speed away from the earth.

😅

No way - a combination of horrific motion sickness and fear of heights. I'd be the worst astronaut ever.

fivetriangulartrees · 08/04/2026 21:36

I'd probably initially be enthusiastic, pick up a leaflet, suggest it to DP and then gradually remember that I'm no good on long journeys, feel horribly sick on G force machines, want a proper bed and shower, hate confined spaces and don't have a babysitter.

I hope that when they do an actual moon landing and a walk about that a woman is able to do it.

Boolabus · 08/04/2026 21:40

No way. I'm claustrophobic the thought of it makes me feel sick I just about cope in a plane. I'd also have an irrational fear that I would get stuck floating around space for eternity a bit like red dwarf.

I had a nightmare the other day that I woke up on the Artemis mission. I panic about not being able to breathe as it is. I had to be taken out of the ifly sky dive experience as I panicked.
