I see a few photos of ladies wearing lovely dresses while they are on holiday.
I'm a shorts wearer. I leave the dresses for the evening.
What do you wear.

I would wear soft trousers or dresses, I have never really felt comfortable in shorts since I was a teenager. I love my floaty trousers with a little top as it feels much cooler too.

Shorts
Dresses rarely suit me.

Dresses. I’ve always hated shorts.

Who else finds that the light floaty trousers (from the market stalls in Spain and Italy mostly) are much cooler than dresses or shorts? I think so, and I don't know how or why that is either but it works for me!

A "little" top would be indecent on me. I have decent legs though, even at 50+ so shorts all the way.

Dresses. Floaty ones to hide my fat bum. Shorts look terrible.

Always dresses

Both, but my legs chafe so I have a pair of anti-chubrub shorts that I put on under my dresses.

Either, depending on location. When we're away in the camper van in the countryside or seaside it tends to be cotton or linen mix or even swim shorts, but for a city stay more dresses or culottes.

Never denim shorts though, never saw the point of those - hot and uncomfortable.

Both! I love shorts, especially loose linen ones and wear them as soon as the sun’s out. I’ll wear dresses for work and going out, but for everything else it’s shorts and sandals or trainers.

Though if I’m on holiday sometimes I’ll wear black shorts and vest with gold jewelry for a casual evening drink.

Dresses. Never shorts. They are hot and i always see someone in a long cool dress and regret the shorts. They make me feel frumpy.

I see shorts, think they will look just like they do in the pic, try them on, realise my legs are really quite short and chunky and the shorts dont make me look casual and comfortable with a touch of pizazz.

My dm used to call thin cotton trousers long shorts.

I spent £3k on getting my varicose veins removed….shorts all the way now!

I actually prefer wearing dresses as I find them cooler than shorts. I love my legs, though, so I do wear the odd pair of shorts but I find my legs get very sweaty of the day is humid.

Dresses. So much easier
