What feelings or things do you enjoy that others may consider strange?

A discussion I am having with a friend this evening is strange feelings you enjoy.

I absolutely love the feeling of exhaustion after a long day of not being able to keep my eyes open. My friend loves getting dead foot.

What strange feelings do you enjoy?

Anaesthetic

Cramp

The weird, floaty, 'nice' feeling that you get as you're drifting off to sleep....

That split second when anaesthetic is kicking in. Like sweet death

Falling asleep in the bath. Favourite time to do this is 5pm.

I also enjoy twisting a rubber band or piece of string tightly around one of my fingers, and moreso one of my thumbs...

I get a 'butterflies in my stomach' feeling when I pull it tightly. It's weird. 😆

I quite like the feeling of being hungry.

Not starving hungry, but I like to be hungry a few hours before my next meal.

It also gives me more energy.

I like holding up the skin above my eyelids, it pulls my eyelids up, then I look down! Don’t ask… but it feels great! 😬😆

Cleaning my already clean ears with cotton bids after a shower. Probably probing deeper than manufacturer’s recommendations

I've stopped now but for a time when life was very stressful I would sugar binge on purpose until I got a crash. It was like a drug injected in my veins. This suddenly peaceful sleepy dopey feeling where i didnt care about anything and my body would totally relax. I would lie down and half pass out anywhere, usually the bed or couch but once or twice on the kitchen floor. I'd feel exhausted and headachy and often get the shakes afterwards but the satisfaction of the crash and elimination of stress was worth it. I realise I sound like a heroin addict but I swear I'm talking about 2 milky ways and a creme egg, or equivalent. I've stopped now, weaned myself off it.

I used to find period pain quite comforting.

Unfortunately as I’ve got older the pain is worse and no longer comforting, just painful 😣

I love scratching my scalp trying to find any ‘bits’. I have a clean head but do love the thrill of finding something to pull out.

OMG are you for real?? It’s the absolute worst pain

I like doing really long runs and then trying to get off the couch but my legs are so stiff they feel like they’ll snap. It’s weirdly satisfying

Sniffing my dogs ears and breath. Yes I know total pervert.

Oh god I wish I could give my 'dead foot' to your friend. I had a stroke 15 months ago & I have that 'dead foot' feeling permanently (& in my hand & arm/leg).

I can't think of a strange feeling I enjoy, but maybe once I've read the other pusts.

I agree with that dreamy exhaustion feeling when you’re absolutely knackered! I love it!

I love a sneeze and am disappointed if it goes away without coming to fruition!

I love the tickling and fizzing feeling of ear drops! I also like the feeling of blood being taken and the squeeze of a blood pressure cuff 🤣
