Happy Easter to those who celebrate 🐰!

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in the living room this morning - conservatory's chilly today (def. need to look at a small heater for winter!). Boy cat's watching the rain and cars out the window, girl's probably gone back to bed with dd2. I'll crack open my chocolate bunny shortly, for breakfast - with some fruit and yogurt 😋.

I have the washer on for towels, and need to run some water to soak yesterday's pots 🙈...after cleaning the jug I've used for paint. Towels will probably go in the dryer looking at the weather.

Dd wanted to be up at 9 but has, so far, avoided actually getting up 🤷‍♀️. She wanted to look at her revision plan today & slot in maths topics she's still struggling with.

My plan's not very exciting - I want to carry on with Operation Kitchen BIG CLEAN & paint the door frames - probably just gloss, I think they're too far gone for me to put that much time and effort into a rental to sand them right back or strip them (once upon a time, I would have put the effort in 🤷‍♀️).

Also want to re-house medications somewhere - those, potatoes and onions, and cerals take up an entire cupboard but it's a wasted space really - I have more baking things with no home that would make more sense in there 🤔.

Later on it's probably bacon buttys for tea, to use up the bacon, followed by more chocolate. I'll get my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower, and then paint peg dolls for an hour or two watching The Rookie with dd.

Good morning lucysmam and others. Happy easter to all. I've had 2 coffees and a cuppa with a slice of toast. I've emptied and loaded the dishwasher and rehoovered the living room. There were bits of ash park lurking after dgs1 was in yesterday afternoon. I thought I'd got it all!
Today I'm having 8 or 9 for lunch. It will be a buffet. The table is set and I'm off for a shower, then I'll start sorting the food. Enjoy your day all

Now the storm has died down I really need to get up and outside and do some gardening but my motivation is low!!

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, and Happy Easter.

Mr Dilemma went out early as he had received a message from local daughter to say she hadn't realised the first bus today wasn't until 10am and chorister grandson needed to be at rehearsal by 8.45, so he picked him up and took him there. He will be picking him up in late afternoon after the last of 3 services today.

We have a wash on - it is a beautiful sunny (but chilly) morning and the energy from our solar panels is already running the whole house at present. It does help that we have an A+ rated washing machine though.

I'm definitely starting on packing later, for our visit to see stepdaughter this week. We are hiring a car as Mr Dilemma has severe range anxiety about our electric car. I need to check with him that he has arranged to be picked up from home, as I'm not allowed to drive at the moment. Normally I would take him to the pick up point.

The birds are so noisy this morning! We have really good double glazing which usually mutes the birdsong a bit, but I have a window open so I can hear everything! It is really nice to hear nothing but birdsong from outside though. We live on the edge of a housing estate, but with fields beside and behind us, and we are really lucky that it is so quiet. Next door's children aren't playing in the garden yet - probably too full of chocolate! That is the one thing I find difficult - the constant bouncing of a ball, squeaky trampoline and shouts and screams. However they are nice polite children and these are perfectly normal noises so I wouldn't ever complain, unless they are kicking the ball against the brick wall of our conservatory, when I have had a quiet word.

Right then - I'm off to do useful things. Have a lovely day everybody, or at least the best day possible.

Still in bed. Will be sanding bathroom and plastering holes in walls,ready for painting.

Little cat seems to have cystitis (big cat suffers so I have all the medication / specialist food etc) but how unlucky for them both to suffer? Will book him into the vets when they open on Tuesday.

We had no plans today but I'm doing a big roast later (Christmas-esque) so I'm quite excited for that. Won't be until 6pm though as we don't eat early.

DP is finishing the windows, then he is going to take the older 2 on canal bike ride. 6 miles. Little one is staying here with me but I'll pop over to the park for half an hour to let her have a run around this afternoon.

Nothing majorly Easter going on here today. Will get some board games out later and hope it doesn't result in ww3.

I'm up early tomorrow as youngest has swimming at 9am 😱 so early night all round.

In bed with a cup of tea still. Lazy morning here. Dog needs a proper walk soon. Just been in garden. Plan to make a cooked breakfast soon. Not much planned for the day. Children away with grandparents so it’s a quiet one which is actually fine. Still recovering from a bug.

Trying to convince DH to have a roast for tea. Really fancy it.

I'm having a baby!! In for my induction today

Im going to binge online today.
Got nothing to do no chores to do.
So its a duvet day.

Good morning all and Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

We had our family Easter celebrations yesterday so stayed with family last night. Just drinking my second coffee in a comfortable chair and enjoying a slow morning.

I think we’ll probably stay here for lunch and then think about heading home. I wanted to go for a walk this morning but it’s so windy I don’t think I can face it!

Once we’re home I’ll do a little bit of sorting and tidying, then we have pizzas in for dinner and maybe a glass of wine with some TV. And we’ll crack open an easter egg I expect!

Happy Easter @lucysmam & The Sunday Crew. Forecast not quite accurate as we have sunshine here in Cornwall, although there are some ominous clouds lurking. Trying to decide whether to hide the eggs for DD17’s last ever hunt or wait till tomorrow. Woke early again & made a cuppa for me & DH to have in bed. Gave him a big bar of fruit & nut plus an F1 car shaped kitkat. I have a twix egg, yet more mini eggs & some After Eight mini eggs. Had a hot cross bun from a local village bakery for breakfast. There’s a load of washing on & I’ve done the dishwasher but still need to clean the kitchen surfaces. No big family meal; in fact I haven’t a clue what’s for tea! DH & I are visiting DM in her care home this afternoon to give DF a break. I have chocolate & a hot cross bun for DF & will try to find somewhere open to buy daffodils for DM. The residents were making Easter bonnets at some point. Might fit in a walk a bit later on & probably watch a film tonight. Have a lovely day all!

I have been in work since before dawn. Due to the high winds keeping the cows awake last night, and unsettling them, they had a very hard time getting out of bed for milking this morning! I'm glad that we made the decision to keep them in overnight, because the wind and rain unsettles them. Despite being tired and slow to come in and out of the milking parlour, they were very happy to go out to the fields again this morning. I've been lucky enough to chat with two friends through work, and I'm hoping for a peaceful day for the rest of it... but I can't wait to get into bed and go to sleep tonight!

It’s our wedding anniversary so we are going into town for a walk and nice food and wine 😊 DD is back from the other side of the world and on the phone to her friends.
Tomorrow we’re having a belated Mother’s Day now that everyone can come 🥰

Good morning everyone

I was at the lido at 7am. We've opened Easter eggs. Having a lazy morning, then a Thai buffet for lunch, followed by dinner the circus.

We had family over yesterday so that they could come by train.

Happy Easter @lucysmam and all. We are off to my mum and dads for lunch and then ds will probably stay to carry on with revision. Me and dd will come home and I might go for a walk in our local park or over the fields. Dd has a cold as does dh so will probably stay home. If I have time, I’ve got some begonias and dahlias to
pot up, but I will see if the wind has died down before doing any gardening. Will probably read a bit more of my book and potter this evening.

Your definition of a lazy morning is about as much as I’m able to do all day 😂 (Just found it funny! Am disabled and I’m always amused by how different we all are, in good ways!) Sounds like an absolutely lovely day. For those of you celebrating Easter, Oestre, wedding anniversaries (congrats @Susiesue61 !), having babies (good luck @BritishDesiGirl - if it’s a boy, get used to uncles calling him beta the minute he’s out 😂 Friend and I were just joking about this last night), and everything else everyone is doing (even if it’s just a mug of tea! Tea is life). I’ve had a headache for about three days and I’m having a really tough time with it. Here’s a photo of my daffodils, as that’s more positive.

I had a terrible night's sleep with bloody storm Dave. DH had a phone call from his brother to say MiL has taken a down turn (she's in a care home) but on further discussions it sounds like another chest infection, which is still a big deal in a frail old lady, but hopefully fixable.
My mum will come for Easter dinner later, other than that I have no plans.

I got up to take DS1 to golf and then came back, made coffee and got back into bed for a while.

Got up and made Shakshuka for DP and I and sorted the kitchen.

DP is continuing his little house jobs, none of the other kids have surfaced yet so no Easter Eggs have been given out yet!

We’re walking over to mum and dads for dinner later. I think DP and I will head over about 3 and watch the football there and then the kids will come as and when they feel like it (with an ‘arrive by’ instruction!)

My little brother, SIL and nephew and niece are coming too so I set up an Easter egg hunt over there yesterday so that will be fun before eating.

We've been to Mass, the DC sung in the choir and generally behaved well. (It's hit and miss!)
DH is now cooking a sort of roast/ikea meatballs hybrid lunch. There's Easter eggs for pudding.
Then DH and DS1 are going to watch a football match and DS2 and I are going to visit my parents.

I’ve been up since 8ish. Drank tea, had toast, did my puzzles, drank more tea and went out for a windy walk, came back and had a coffee. DH is cooking bacon and eggs etc for brunch now. We don’t have a cooked breakfast very often so I enjoy it when we do.

Nothing much planned this afternoon. Maybe some gardening. I’m also sorting and decluttering cupboards in the kitchen. It’s pretty windy here so the kitchen might win out over the gardening.

Roast lamb for dinner and I bought a trifle. I’m the only one who really eats it but hoping DH will have some too. I’m not a huge chocolate fan but bought myself some Galaxy eggs. And a large Mini Eggs Easter egg for DS. Who is 25 but still gets an Easter egg.

Will read my book for a bit this afternoon too and watch some tv tonight. We are watching The Pitt and enjoying that.

DS, DDIL and the boys have gone off for a long walk, DH has taken bigger dog to the village, lamb is roasting in the oven. Veggies all ready to cook, potatoes in already and I. Am. Knackered!
i have a second load of washing on yes, I know it’s verbatim on Easter Sunday but needs must.
Tiddler is snoozing in a patch of sunlight on the carpet and it’s very peaceful here…..
DS et al will be leaving later on, I will miss them but hopefully they’ll be down again soon.
