The name could be Emmy. My Gran had a friend called that.

Healthyalltheway · 04/04/2026 23:54

I put it in chatgtb before I had seen the photo and it said
Miss Taylor, here may David sleep. - with a long explanation re probability and analysis etc 😆

BeanQuisine · 05/04/2026 00:51

Hey Jay - look out, every way (is crawling with) Daleks! Don't slip...

PortSalutPlease · 05/04/2026 08:06

the last line is “Dark Gold Slip” - that’s the type of frame. The sides of picture frames before they’re put together into a reachable are called slips.

Handeyethingyowl · 05/04/2026 09:10

Nerys Taylor and Emmy?

Mrs Taylor and Emma dated September 9th.

Lincslady53 · 05/04/2026 17:57

Bottom line
Oak, Gold Slip. Referring to the type of frame. The slip is a thin gold beading that fits between the main frame and thel picture.

PhotoFirePoet · 05/04/2026 18:16

I think the first two words are “My Darling”, but after that, no idea!

Judecb · 05/04/2026 18:22

Trying to get a better shot of it

Merry Taylor Xmas
David S…”
The last name is hard to make out possibly “Slep,” “Sleep,” or “Siep” (the letters aren’t very clear).
So overall, it seems like a short handwritten holiday message from someone named David to Taylor.

anon666 · 05/04/2026 19:32

Mrs Taylor Emery
Dark Gel Slip

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 05/04/2026 19:33

I can't make out the first bit, but I think it is signed Pablo Picasso.

Was that a neighbour or someone from the pub? Does it mean anything to you? Or maybe a waiter in a Spanish restaurant or something?

BattenbergLoves · 05/04/2026 19:40

Second line ‘don’t let slip’

BurntBroccoli · 05/04/2026 20:10

Meetmeunderthemoonlight · 05/04/2026 21:32

The first two words look like hiya Jordan and the third word looks like a name starting with e

BySereneBiscuit · 05/04/2026 21:36

Ruyg Jachen, Vienna, Delft Blue Shop
I popped it onto Chatgpt... says it's a name followed by Vienna and a reference to Delft pottery/ ceramics. So it's probably a signature + location + shop or original reference

deste · 05/04/2026 22:09
