What did you do today?

DP and I went to a castle in our home city. We’ve lived here for a long time, but never actually been inside the castle until today! We had a lovely time and spent hours there.

Then I sent my DM an Easter card, since I won’t be seeing her over Easter this year. After that we went home and had our dinner.

What about you?

Tidied up the house, did 3 loads of washing. Small person had a friend over. Watched a movie and now thinking of heading to bed... Yes, I know it's only just past 8.

Did preparation for the school appeals I'm doing on Monday.

It's been absolutely horrendous weather here today - alternate sunshine and heavy hail showers, a really strong wind and freezing cold. So I've struggled to want to do anything much.
So apart from going to the supermarket in the next town and half an hour in between hail showers planting something in the garden I've done very little. Oh apart from watching Scotland get beat at football.
I will need to make up for my lazy day tomorrow.

Drove from Glasgow to Manchester, watched a full day of netball matches. Ate a pizza, ate a McDonald's

I managed to help my husband prepare some of the ingredients for a meatball casserole and put them in the slow cooker. I was in so much pain when I woke up (arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain) that I thought it would be a duvet day so this was pretty active for me!

Recovering from a horrific hangover. Out til 4 this morning. Had to go out today though as had the painter in painting the kitchen. So walked into town for brunch then to MILs and home via Tesco.
Have been lain in bed since about 7 absolutely dying.

Went to Tesco. Did a couple of loads of washing. Had KFC for dinner. That's about it really.

Paperwork, then I went to visit ds2 in his uni town. Lunch, walk, fine art museum.Dropped him off at his part-time job then drove home.
Currently watching Outlander on the sofa under a blanket.

I have been at work all day for the NHS but thankfully pretty quiet. Plus my manager treated us to a lovely coffee this morning!

Woke up with horrific period cramps at 5am so I lay in bed for a while until breakfast and did a couple of loads of washing. Picked up kid from sleepover then made lunch. Went book shopping and bought some extremely expensive chocolate in the posh chocolatier then supermarket shopping when hungry which is always a mistake! Now home watched last one laughing and I think I’m going to bed as soon as my kid does!

Started potty training 🙈

Up at 5 as lost power to the downstairs of the house and needed to rescue the fridge/freezer contents. Lost most of the morning trying to get electricians in, interspersed with taking DD3 to dancing. Visited my mum in the afternoon and took DD2 swimming whilst DH fixed the power issue. Treated myself to a cocktail before tea. Felt like I'd earned it

Credit where credit is due, you really did deserve that cocktail!

I walked to the kitchen.

Woke up, showered, set up a cash ISA, tidied kitchen, dropped some clothes off at the clothes bank, posted a parcel, got a coffee, took the bus into town, got new lenses fitted in my glasses, went to Sainsbury's, came home, took my mum to a garden centre followed by lunch at a farm cafe, came home, put washing to dry, cleaned washing machine, baked a cake, watched iPlayer, cooked tea, ate tea, had a bath, watched film, now in bed soon scrolling.

Went for a quick morning walk, sat reading, cleaned bathroom- cursory clean, picked up my knacker of a car from garage, read, did two loads of washing,made some soup, pork chop dinner and batch cooked cottage pie. Researched replacement car😬Going to finish book and then bed

Up early due to a teenage sleepover (dd17 and 2 friends). I went to weigh in while they slowly came round. I did get them a McDonald's breakfast though. They had tidied up when I got back.
I had some lunch and read some of my new book before a quick sofa nap. Then DD went out to a friend's and I tackled the flat pack dining room table and chairs that arrived this morning.
Had a lovely phone call with dd21 who is at uni.
Had a walk and came home with fish and chips. So I'm currently feeling very full whilst lying on the sofa watching a film.
It's actually been a lovely relaxing day.

Child has gone to stay with my family (long way away) as I've got work and she's off for Easter. Nobody else here to look after her. I miss her.

I've done washing, cleaned, made bread, roast a chicken, walked the dog twice, done a speed walking YouTube workout and now I'm watching Line of Duty.

weekend away, spent a fortune in John Lewis, walking tour, then red wine , dinners , now in bed in nice hotel. Just lovely.

Went out on my motorcycle, just a short trip (70 mile round trip) but still good and it totally blew the cobwebs away!

Went for a windy coastal walk with my dogs, then had lunch in a pub. Now sitting in my caravan on mn 😁.

Bit of time on MN but mainly been working all day since waking up until about 5 minutes ago. Busy time right now and I desperately wanted to finish today so I would have at least one day of the weekend off before attacking the mountain again on Monday.
Will now have a glass of wine and a bath. Back aching from being at my desk all day.

Absolutely nothing. I had a full on weekend last weekend followed by a crazy busy week. I was shattered.

Both DC were out today, so I had a rare day off. I napped, I watched a film, I lounged about. It was glorious 🥰
