Im looking for suggestions on what to watch.
I've done my back in and have been in bed since Monday. I think it'll be another few days in bed.
I have Netflix, Disney, prime, paramount, Now and apple.
Im up-to-date with the programmes I normally watch so looking for suggestions?

Love Story on Disney. It’s hammy as anything but it’s got a good energy and 8 of the 9 episodes are up (last one drops on Friday).

I came on to say this!
I’ve recently enjoyed Joan on ITVX . Small prophets and Shrinking

Sorry to hear about your back. I hope you have some good analgesia to help? What are you into? Period, crime, drama, comedy?

-The Other Bennet sister
-Banged up abroad
-Real crime solving shows
-Call the midwife

Or start a whole series that you may/may not have watched at the time:
-Breaking bad
-X files
-The Handmaids tale
-Spitting image or other comedy classics

I’m laid up with flu and I’ve been watching Top Boy from the beginning-(summer town). I don’t know why I didn’t watch it when it was first on, it’s cracking.

I just remembered another. When I had vertigo and was bedbound, I signed up to mammal watch. You identify animal pics or videos from trail cameras. You can pick specific areas such as hedgehog monitoring, Scottish wildcats, small mammals etc or just identify from all areas. They have training info and tests you can do to check your accuracy.

Another idea is online surveys.

I also like Mobland which I recently watched on a long flight. It seems I like TV about violent gangsters then… which may not be your bag!

Featherhorn · 25/03/2026 11:53

Well this is embarrassing but I'm watching the back catalogue of Waterloo Road, all available on the BBC.

rightoguvnor · 25/03/2026 12:14

I’m on Poldark which is on Netflix, and really enjoying it this time around.

Sidebeforeself · 25/03/2026 13:18

The Newsreader on Netflix

Whosthetabbynow · 25/03/2026 13:21

The Fall. It’s on Netflix and Disney (I think). So good I watched it twice. Absolutely brilliant.

Villanousvillans · 25/03/2026 13:22

Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
Ozark
Slow Horses
Capture

AmadeustheAlpaca · 25/03/2026 13:32

"Outrageous" which is available on BBC Iplayer. Its about the Mitford sisters and their fascinating lives in 1930s society prior to WW2. One sister married Oswald Mosley, one was a friend of Adolf and one married Churchill's nephew and became a communist.

Catcatcatcatcat · 25/03/2026 13:43

Have you watched Mad Men?
Succession?

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 25/03/2026 13:52

I cannot recommend strongly enough Mr Inbetween on Disney. It’s perfection. Literally watch the first five minutes and if that floats your boat I promise the whole series just gets better and better. It’s only 3 seasons long and has a cracking end. I saw it recommended on some clip or other by Ricky gervais and it is one of the best tv shows I’ve ever seen 😊

AnotherSliceOfCakePlease · 25/03/2026 14:01

Ozarks, Daisy Jones and the Six, Breaking Bad, Succession, The Man in the High Castle, Yellowstone (bit soapy but the 5 seasons had me hooked through a bed bound episode) Love Life, Yellowjackets season 1.

minipie · 25/03/2026 14:03

I’m watching ER from the beginning on Netflix Blush.

Some other Netflix - Bridgerton, Emily in Paris, House of Guinness, Fisk, The Diplomat, The Lincoln Lawyer, Yellowstone, The Crown, new Peaky Blinders movie, Homeland, Killing Eve, Poldark, The Last Kingdom, Sex Education

On Disney- The Bear, Dopesick, Paradise, This is Us (that might be on something else actually)

yy to Slow Horses too

AnotherSliceOfCakePlease · 25/03/2026 14:04

Oh yes, also Narcos, and for comedy Colin from Accounts and Fisk are great.

Xiaoxiong · 25/03/2026 14:10

Currently re-watching Friday Night Dinner on Netflix and loving it - and no need to focus on lots of characters or long story arcs if you're not feeling up to it.

But if you are up to story arcs, Apple TV has Severance, Tehran, Slow Horses. Iplayer has Tinker Tailor, Night Manager, Little Drummer Girl.

Simonjt · 25/03/2026 14:11

Heated rivalry on now tv, its a lovely love story and only six episodes.

GingerBeverage · 25/03/2026 14:12

The new season of Last One Laughing on Prime - so far very funny.

doodleygirl · 25/03/2026 14:25

The Madison on Paramount, I binged it.
Slow Horses is superb
Virgin River - absolute tosh but great if you are scrolling

Laiste · 25/03/2026 14:40

Me and DD (20 something) are watching all the Poirot's ! There's loads of them and they are long enough to keep you entertained for a bit but not too long or challenging. I have been known to nod off though

Love all the 30s fashion and the cars. Love Hastings! ''I say!'' 🤣

Laiste · 25/03/2026 14:41

Oh and the crime documentaries on Netflix. I'd love to 'un-watch' some of those and watch again for the first time. The Staircase one ....

fivefoottwowitheyesofblue · 25/03/2026 14:42

I binged A Woman of Substance (C4) over the weekend and loved it.
