Im looking for suggestions on what to watch.
I've done my back in and have been in bed since Monday. I think it'll be another few days in bed.
I have Netflix, Disney, prime, paramount, Now and apple.
Im up-to-date with the programmes I normally watch so looking for suggestions?

Have a look at the Quirky Little Gem of a Film thread that’s been running for ages, there are tonnes of recommendations in there. I really liked Nowhere Special in the iPlayer.

Have you watched Schitts Creek on Netflix?

And I also agree with the recommendations of Small Prophets and Daddy Issues.

This Life (from the 90s) is on iplayer now

Boxingshibes · 25/03/2026 15:47

Im currently watching 'the materalists' on now.
I started madison and woman of substance. Must continue.
I also watched ' fuck valentines day' which was ok.

I've just got through a rewatch of Person of Interest on Prime Video. Starts off as an above average Police Procedural with a twist (Guy gets social security numbers given to him of someone about to be involved in a crime. Has to work out if they're the perpetrator or the victim.

Ends up in a very very different place (don't want to spoil things so won't say more). It's a good 10 years old but it only gets more and more relevant as time goes on.

‘Trying’ on iPlayer

We’re enjoying Only Murders in the Building. I love that the episodes are only 30 minutes; I struggle to concentrate for longer.

When I was ill I watched the entire 9 seasons of Peep Show. Amazing.

HouseFullOfChaos · 26/03/2026 20:14

Younger on Netflix is a perfect binge watch.

BiteSizeByzantine · 26/03/2026 20:14

Severance ( give it till the second episode if you're not sure)
Pluribus
And Silo

These were all so good!

I'm not bed bound but sofa bound. I've needed some mindless entertainment and I ended up watching Unicorn academy which I loved. The avatar films work well because if you fall asleep you do t really miss anything

If you have U have a browse. Lots of series like Doctors, Soldier Soldier, Whitstable Pearl. I enjoyed 2000 acres of Sky. All easy watching series.

Boxingshibes · 26/03/2026 21:00

Me and DD (20 something) are watching all the Poirot's ! There's loads of them and they are long enough to keep you entertained for a bit but not too long or challenging. I have been known to nod off though

Love all the 30s fashion and the cars. Love Hastings! ''I say!'' 🤣

I’ve been doing that! Slowed down a bit now though. Think I’ve got up to Appointment with Death. Love Hastings 😍😬

I also watched all of the old Upstairs, Downstairs because I saw the end of an early episode and wondered what I’d missed earlier on - so I watched them all. I missed it ridiculously afterwards.

Also watched the whole of Tenko a while back as I was a bit too young to get it first time around. It’s on U streaming app, which is free. Very distressing in places.
