@HandrearedmagpieEITHER very soggy nil nak crisps or tapeworms - sorry I can't distinguish between the two 😞

Right2BareArms · 21/03/2026 18:43

Is it the Loch Ness Monster?

7catsisnotenough · 21/03/2026 18:43

NIK nak 😡 Bloody auto correct..

Parsleyforme · 21/03/2026 18:44

It looks like a like when you leave something soaking in washing up liquid and it dissolves the food and makes it stringy. I’m sure I saw a video once where the person used Fairy to extract fruit DNA and it kind of dissolved the fruit into stringy slimy bits

ChurpyBurd · 21/03/2026 18:44

Haha! I also thought NikNaks.

Were they wiggling?

Handrearedmagpie · 21/03/2026 18:46

Definitely not nik naks, didn’t seem to be wriggling, but seemed gungy, wasn’t brave enough to touch them!

I hope this is it and there’s not a giant creepy creature hatching giant y sink at night!

Tapeworms are internal, so I wouldn’t think likely, although they do match the image.

it could be grease and water and soap and food clumped together.

or some kind of fly larve.

I think more just a clump of stuff.

but like someone said I would have poked it and checked for life 😂

Aeroyum · 21/03/2026 19:07

Check under your pillows and in your shoes. I’ve seen these before and they tend to disperse throughout the house and attack at night.

Look like giant maggots. 🤮

Have you got a DP or kids who like to wind you up?

Whattheflush · 21/03/2026 19:30

Have you tried google lens? It correctly identified hover fly larvae in some standing water recently.

Lobesloope · 21/03/2026 19:40

I dont think these are alive, im pretty au fait with larvae and i dont think they match anything. Look like tapeworm sure but who is shitting massive tapeworms into your SINK?

I think its the weird soap reaction

NoodleHorses · 21/03/2026 19:43

Have those aliens got a knife? - left side of bowl - or is it a reflection on the water?
if they are armed, I would run away!

RudolphTheReindeer · 21/03/2026 19:43

Has someone cooked eggs? It looks like how eggs look when the shell cracks and a bit leaks out when you're boiling them.

PTSDBarbiegirl · 21/03/2026 19:50

Maybe coming from inside the tap, take it off and have a look and put some drain cleaner down the pipes. I thought Nik naks too or fat residue gathered together. Has a cat been sick in sink?!

Notmyreality · 21/03/2026 19:52

Aliens.

I do have a cat who seems obsessed by the sink but surely that wouldn't be all he'd throw up?

Whyischocolatebadforyou · 21/03/2026 20:22

AI says it might be tapeworms so I would get your cat checked.

Sounds like a basis for a horror film

MrsEmmelineLucas · 21/03/2026 21:20

Notmyreality · 21/03/2026 19:52

Aliens.

That's the most logical answer. See if you can communicate with them. Maybe they have a message from their home planet?

limetrees32 · 21/03/2026 21:23

Humunculi

I have isolated a lot of DNA in my life and you need a lot of biomass to extract that amount of DNA from it. Also, isolated DNA doesn't look like limbs of a Michelin man even if you have lots of it.

SoScarletItWas · 21/03/2026 21:32

Jesus I was much happier when the pic wasn’t loading 😱

Maybe it is Donald Trumps brain matter infiltrating the UK sewage system?
