What will you do to mark the late Queen's 100th?

On 21st April 2026, it will be what would have been the late HMTQ's 100th birthday.

Even though she passed away nearly four years ago, I know some people still miss her.

So, will you be commemorating the day or remember your late sovereign in any way on that day? Maybe a minute or two of silence or watching some royal documentaries or attending a church service of remembrance since I've heard some churches will be doing so?

Or, have you decided not to?

Presumably you are collecting material for an article in the paper, why not just say so?

Indianajet · 20/03/2026 00:57

Nothing. I did think of my own Mum, on what would have been her 100th birthday last week. She also died 4 years ago - far more important to me than the Queen.

tartyflette · 20/03/2026 02:30

Er, no. It feels a little soon to be doing yet another major retrospective.
The late queen lived, in good health, to a great age, doubtless with the very best of care. But with monarchies, isn’t it all about the succession?
Thus - ’The Queen is dead. Long live the King.’

Absolutely nowt. No disrespect meant, but the date wouldn’t even be on my radar.

Putitinanenvelope · 20/03/2026 02:40

I’m pretty sure I’m washing my hair that day so I won’t be giving the late Queen a single thought even though i quite admired her while she was alive. If other people want to mark the day that’s fine.

ShetlandishMum · 20/03/2026 02:43

Nothing.

TakeTheCuntingQuichePatricia · 20/03/2026 03:03

Nothing. It isn't her 100th birthday as she's dead.

estrogone · 20/03/2026 03:06

Erm nothing. What an odd thing to even contemplate.

estrogone · 20/03/2026 03:08

Also, I don't think her complicity with AMBs criminal activities leaves much to admire. She knew and did nothing.

MarxistMags · 20/03/2026 03:10

What ! Don't be ridiculous.

MeAndMyGhost · 20/03/2026 03:13

Is this a 'thing' we are meant to be doing?!

QuirkyHorse · 20/03/2026 03:13

Nope, don't celebrate birthdays of dead relatives, so definitely won't be celebrating one of a stranger.

Utterly bizarre that some people would 🤷🏻‍♀️

TheyreAllLikeThat · 20/03/2026 03:18

She helped pay off a woman who her son raped, and helped cover up his behaviour for years. She was a disgusting person.

So no, I won’t be celebrating her. Glad she’s dead really.

WallaceinAnderland · 20/03/2026 03:25

Are you doing anything to mark Charlotte Bronte's 210th birthday?

DarkForces · 20/03/2026 04:23

Paint my house red white and blue, shoot some animals and cover up some heinous crimes.

ChaseTheSin · 20/03/2026 04:25

Wild!

lifeisgoodrightnow · 20/03/2026 04:32

colachive · 20/03/2026 05:08

this is either terrible journalism or OP is one of those people whose hallway features royal wedding plates displayed in a glass cabinet

TakeTheCuntingQuichePatricia · 20/03/2026 03:03

Nothing. It isn't her 100th birthday as she's dead.

😂😂

Malasana · 20/03/2026 05:15

I’m happy to celebrate if I get an extra bank holiday and the day off work. I’ll be all about the celebrations. 🤣

SheilaFentiman · 20/03/2026 05:22

You again, OP?

HelpMeGetThrough · 20/03/2026 05:30

Are you the same nutter who was asking a while ago if we still have pictures up of the old bat?

couldn’t give two shits about her when she was alive, certainly don’t now she’s dead.

wyntersky · 20/03/2026 05:35

🤣having a laugh are you???

olympicsrock · 20/03/2026 05:37

I wasn’t aware when her birthday was but would not be celebrating a birthday when she is dead.
not on my radar to be honest. I generally support the monarchy so I think your answer is that very few people will be celebrating her / watching documentaries that day.
