my friend lied that her fake nails were real. I have to say they don’t look real, it seemed like they were stuck on? It’s the lying that bothers me

They aren't your nails, they definitely exist whether they are made of keratin, acrylic or gel and it just doesn't matter.

Gel nails sometimes do look stuck on, especially if they are done with BIAB gel. It makes the nail look thicker. It is still the natural nail underneath, not a false tip. Is that what she means?

You don't know she is lying. They might have gel polish on top, they might not. Unless you can pin her down physically and start cutting into them, you're never going to know. So as per your username, forget about it.

So she’s telling you they are real acrylics or something, not fake stick on ones from Primark, and you’re trying to say that they are not just her natural nails with polish on?
Whatever the reality is, it just really doesn’t matter.

Hide a pair of plyers up your sleeve and then when she's not expecting it, grab the nail with it and pull it really hard. If she ends up bleeding profusely and screaming in agony she's telling the truth.

Could they be BIAB? I flit between acrylics and BIAB and although when I have BIAB they’re technically my natural nails they look just as thick as when I have acrylics.

She has actual nails attached to her hands. She may or may not have something stuck on top of her nails.

Gels are kind of real kind of fake. You define them as fake and she defines them as real. Maybe consider what would make you annoyed about this. Is there something else going on the the friendship? Maybe you don't have the time or money for nails? There's maybe something causing you to see this with more irritation than this is worth.

Some people who have BIABS see it as your own nails as the BIAB is put on top of your nail. You can also have a tip put on a BIAB to make the nails look longer, so maybe she’s done that and that’s why she says it’s her own nails.

My nails can get really long with BIAB, so the length and shape is all my own. They are just thicker cos of the builder gel. I have to get my nails filed down every appointment as they get too long to operate normal everyday things!
