I'll go first ☺️

DSis criticises everything I do, from where I have sent my children to school to how many holidays we take. She runs us down and tries to downplay our achievements to anyone she knows 🙄
She is also very controlling and likes to dictate what happens in the wider family. Anyway this past Mother's Day, she told me a month before that I 'had to' 'take' our Mum for Mother's day. Shes a sprightly 70 year old. Anyway I said i was already taking her out to a show and dinner on the friday night and that would be our little celebration. She said no I would need to 'take' her Sunday as well because she has plans for Mother's day as she's a mother too and 'deserves to be celebrated!' 😂😂
I am also a mother but you know, that doesnt matter. So Anyway we planned a last minute break away and our flight left Mother's Day Morning. Problem solved 😬😬 i have never done anything like that before but boy did it feel good. I am absolutely sick of pandering to her shit! Always putting her needs first to keep tje peace. Not anymore!!! IDGAF!!!

She sounds intolerable, well done on your solution!

I had a foster carer that blamed me for all the cups and plates disappearing, it was her son that had them all but for weeks and weeks she kept on at me so I cleared her cupboards out, glasses, bowls, everything into a duffle bag and then threw it off the harbor.

I’ve seen it so often where the foster child becomes the whipping boy (or girl). Why do people do it? ☹️

Did you get into trouble?

Mydogisagentleman · 18/03/2026 14:50

Much younger me was persuaded to accompany my boyfriend to a fishing competition.
I had never been so bored (and horrified at the cruelty).
I offered him a thickly spread Dairylea sandwich.
It had a few maggots as well.

I allowed my replacement colleague (who wouldn't listen to me and thought she knew everything) to forget to do something vital which caused the bank where we worked to run out of cash the week after I left. 😂

Yes, I lost my allowance for a month, not much more she could do.

I was a really good kid, went to school everyday, did my home work, did the washing up, did any cleaning job asked for, wasn't rude or argumentative, she really pissed me off 😂

Whataday1 · 18/03/2026 19:20

I am not a petty person at all and the least spiteful you could get BUT my MIL and SIL have been awful towards me, lies, manipulation, swearing, screaming then blocking off everything because I found my voice at last after years of just absorbing their abuse, so any grand ideas about how to be petty towards them most welcome just because im done being the bigger person its

Easterbunnyishotandcross · 18/03/2026 19:30

Around the time I realised ex was a twat he was at my flat (didn't live together, didn't pay any cms for our baby ) and I was frying him sausages.... One flew out into the cat bowl. I just whipped it back into the pan.
5 second rule does apply surely?

Ohpleasedobequiet88 · 18/03/2026 19:37

Fed up of hearing NDN teenage sons bedroom antics multiple times a day everytime his father was out the house. ( We had a polite word twice and nothing got done problem just got more persistent) so my petty little ass just played screaming goat continuously as well as pneumatic drilling and we went out all day. Never heard them after that 😏

ChubbyPuffling · 18/03/2026 19:42

Colleague used to annoy me tapping All the time, I asked them to stop, repeatedly - they didn’t , so I removed a wheel from their drawer runners - every time they opened the drawer they had to lift it up to close it. Got right on their nerves, they had it repaired - twice. Somehow the problem recurred.🤔

silverbirches · 18/03/2026 19:51

@ChubbyPuffling If you are feeling really evil you could empty their stapler of 95% of its staples. Every couple of days should do it. Link their paperclips together - just a few, so it's not enough to be noticed but enough to be annoying. Oh, and interfere with their chair height. We had a prankster at a place I once worked who did this sort of thing all the time.

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 18/03/2026 19:56

I locked someone in the underground car park. I had asked nicely 3 times if they would leave the office building and move their car as I had to secure the car park at 8pm. They refused. I carried on with my duties. They were released on my way home an hour and a half later.
Do not mess with security.

smithypants · 18/03/2026 19:56

Was heavily pregnant and in a massive hormonal rage. Ran myself a bath, finally, also having cooked and done bed time for existing child. Husband came in whingeing about some other shit and asking me to get out of bath so he could get in after me. I just let him prattle on and before I got out did a massive wee in the bath. I still am slightly horrified that I was so grim!

Perkedup · 18/03/2026 19:56

What’s your relationship like with your mum?

Perkedup · 18/03/2026 19:59

You have been told time and time again to basically massively distance yourself from both your mum and your sister and yet here are… another thread about your sister (only difference is usually your mum is behaving badly too).

I bought a second car that i do not really need and parked it outside my house, to stop my neighbours parking a van there.

Our boss was horrible to us so when she went on a diet we would top her Slimfast up with sugar.

Did you have to tax it?

Fingalscave · 18/03/2026 20:15

When I was a Saturday girl at Boots, the head of our department was really bad tempered and treated us horribly. One of the girls cut her finger quite badly on broken glass when we were filling up shelves and the boss shouted at her for being clumsy. In our lunchtime we went to the joke shop and got fart powder and itching powder. We put itching powder in the hood of her coat in the cloakroom and we put fart powder in her personal teapot- she was too uppity to use the communal crockery. It's 40-odd years ago but still gives me pleasure to remember it!

I changed my CEO’s keyboard keys around - literally prising them off with a screwdriver and rearranging them. She was a touch typist and couldn’t work out why she couldn’t log on. She didn’t click that the middle row of keys now spelt T W A T instead of D F G H.

Badbadbunny · 18/03/2026 20:22

I have a small office for my business. It has a driveway. Unfortunately, the driveway includes a "right of way" for access to neighbour's back gardens. Most of the neighbours use it properly, i.e. basically just to wheel their wheelie bins and occasionally for workmen to take materials/tools into their back gardens for garden work or rear of house maintenance - no problems at all with that. One CF neighbour treats it as "his own" and parks his own car on it, or leaves pallets of grass/building materials etc on it for days/weeks, or tells his workmen they can park their van on it etc. That means I can't park my own car on it when I'm at work, not just for the odd day occasionally, but sometimes for several days in a row, or a day or two every week for several weeks. I constantly asked him to move so I could park, but it was always "it's only a day or two", "where do you expect the builder's van to park", "where do you expect the builders merchant van to leave the pallets" etc. I checked the law, and it confirmed my view that the "right of access" just meant a 1 metre wide "strip" to facilitate pedestrian or wheel barrow access to their back gardens, and no rights to use anything wider nor leave anything on my drive. My son recently moved to London and he no longer needs his battered old banger of a car. Rather than sell it for scrap/We buy any car, it's now proudly parked on my drive, carefully having left a 1 metre wide walkway past it to allow for the legal right of access. Neighbour is spitting feathers but I really don't give a toss. He's just cut off his nose to spite his face. Beforehand, I was only there working hours, so he had free reign to use the drive weekends, evenings, and when I was on holiday. Now he has nowhere to store his crap, his car, his pallets or building materials, etc. Yes, petty, but some people drive you to it when they're entitled pillocks!

Ha ha ha ha ha. The laughing emoji should be reinstated.

I had a horrible boss. She made our lives a complete misery, she was soooo mean, and even played a nasty joke on us all once, (pretending to sack us all) some of the staff actually cried! (Just setting the scene here) Small company, about 7 of us. Nasty boss.

She went off ski-ing. I had a tiny voodoo doll I bought as a joke when I was in Brazil a long time ago. I took it into work. She kept a hairbrush on her desk and we took some of the hair from it and wrapped it round the doll's leg, then we each passed it round. We were laughing so much.

She came back from ski-ing on crutches after fracturing her ankle. Ooopsie!!
Karma!!
