Reusable toilet wipes and flannels instead of loo roll, any recommendations?

I'm currently looking at the Cheeky Wipes system but I can see there are quite a few brands.

I've (kind of) got over the Eeewww although I'm not sure what can be more Eeewww than dragging a piece of flimsy paper over one's arse.

I have a bidet bottle thingy and that works well - also hugely less expensive than a bidet loo. Wash with that, dry with flannel, flannel into wash.

Well, I don't know but it's something I've been considering. I live in an area which has been directly affected by water companies letting sewerage into the sea (indeed only last week!) and that includes huge wodges of toilet paper (and unflushable baby wipes).

It's not about cost, it's more about impact of the over development of land, with sewer systems not coping, increase strain on public systems i.e. sewers and me feeling like I want to do my bit, maybe.

But yes, I do feel a tad squeamish and it may be I stump up a not inconsiderable wad of cash to have a bidet loo installed. But I'd rather not really!

But you are going to be doing all that extra washing and tipping a load of extra detergent into the water system!
