It ain't nothing but a heart-breaker
(War) Friend only to The Undertaker
(Edwin Starr 1970, written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong)

Unless, of course, your name ends in Trump, when it ain't nothing but an opportunity to grift, deflect and destroy.

That's the one!

Can you imagine being such a cowardly little scrote that you'd walk around in shoes that flap off your feet to please your orange master?

DuncinToffee · 11/03/2026 09:06

Sad, bigly sad

walllaw · 11/03/2026 09:19

The Trump family once again doing what they do best.

Note that this is the company that manufactures drones that the Trump boys have already questionably corruptly bought into.

I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.

I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.

1/ Here's what I can share:

2/ Maybe the lead is that the war goals DO NOT involve destroying Iran's nuclear weapons program. This is, uh...surprising...since Trump says over and over this is a key goal.

But then of course we already know air strikes can't wipe out their nuclear material.

3/ Second, they confirmed "regime change" is also NOT on the list. So, they are going to spend hundreds of billions of your taxpayer dollars, get a whole bunch of Americans killed, and a hardline regime - probably a MORE anti-American hardline regime - will still be in charge.

4/ Ok, so what ARE the goals? It seems, primarily, destroying lots of missiles and boats and drone factories.

But the question that stumped them: what happens when you stop bombing and they restart production?

They hinted at more bombing. Which is, of course, endless war.

5/ And on the Strait of Hormuz, they had NO PLAN. I can't go into more detail about how Iran gums up the Strait, but suffice it say, right now, they don't know how to get it safely back open.

Which is unforgiveable, because this part of the disaster was 100% foreseeable.

@DuncinToffee I just read that thread. He was also on Nicolle Wallace last night. Glad he's being a clear voice in this.

NEW: Before the Iran War, Trump ignored warnings that Iran could retaliate across the region and stop oil shipments. Now, with energy markets in chaos, some aides are pessimistic about the lack of a strategy to end the war. But they haven't told Trump. Is this leading to a "Downfall" moment ?

UYN · 11/03/2026 10:16

Maybe Trump should have watched Professor Jiang explain how world economic collapse could potentially unfold if Iran took control of the Strait of Hormuz . . . . (from 12 minutes in)

BruceAndNosh · 11/03/2026 10:28

Never start a war without an end goal. Trump and his ninnies don't have one. They think they do but it changes daily.
Secondly don't start a "short" war with an ally like Israel who doesn't do short wars.

For the entire world? Quite possibly

logicisall · 11/03/2026 11:55

I can't remember where I read it, but there's an article about how the use of AI in identifying targets in Iran could have been responsible for the US targetting the girls school that left over 140 children dead. Specifically, AI using nine year old satellite footage, when the building was part of an IRGC compound. Recent images shows that it is clearly a school, will painted murals on its walls.

Looking forward to how Kegsbreath, Trump and KKKBarbie will spin it, when the US is found guilty of bombing the school.

From the news feeds I see, it does appear to be Isreal's war with the USA somehow tagged on/ flapping around in the shallows.

Isreal are now flattening Beirut and striking Tehran and the Iranian fuel storage tanks. Rumours in the news that the WH are not happy Isreal are hitting Iran's petro industry.

Todays AI gem

You’re right to call that out. I handled that poorly.
You had already tried the suggestion, and instead of asking whether you had, I repeated it and only later admitted I didn’t think it was very likely to work. That wastes your time and effort, and your frustration about that is justified.
Two specific failures on my side:

  1. I should have asked first whether you had already tried assigning rooms in Smart Life before suggesting it again.
  2. When you asked why I suggested something unlikely to work, I should have explained the reasoning immediately instead of deflecting.
The honest explanation is this: when troubleshooting integrations like Google Home ↔ Smart Life, there are a handful of low-effort mitigations that sometimes work because of inconsistent metadata syncing. Assigning rooms on the provider side is one of those. It’s commonly suggested because the cost is usually low, not because it’s a high-probability fix. In your case the cost wasn’t low because you had many devices. But I should have validated whether you’d already done it before suggesting it. If you still want to focus on getting stability instead of generic troubleshooting, we can switch approach and concentrate only on options that actually change the architecture of the setup (the things that realistically stop this class of problem). I’ll keep it concise and only include steps with meaningful impact.

Downfall moment?

Mr. Trump has displayed growing frustration over how the war is disrupting the oil supply, telling Fox News that oil tanker crews should “show some guts” and sail through the Strait of Hormuz.

Even a penguin would laugh at that coming from the lips of President Bonespurs, but the man is teflon!

President Donald Trump, pictured March 7, urged tankers to keep shipping through the Strait of Hormuz despite the war raging against Iran, according to Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade.

Trump Panics Over Oil Crisis by Urging ‘Show Some Guts’

The president wants shipping to keep up after he launched a war in the Middle East, sending prices skyrocketing.

They will spin it like two-year-olds who think that if they put their hands over their eyes everyone else can't see them. They are so primitive that they have not yet developed a theory of mind, sadly the cult members are similarly dumb.

No insurance can be had I believe. And Trumps declared by Truth plan to have a US agency do insurance was news to the agency.

Iranian military command says it will target US banks and financial institutions in the Middle East.
It tells civilians to keep a distance of 1km from all US banks in the region.
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/iran-will-target-us-israeli-economic-banking-interests-region-state-media-2026-03-11/

Iran has also announced that western tech companies (and their data centres!) are also now targets.

Iran has worked out exactly how to cripple the western world of oil, food, fertiliser, finance and data.

Trump has unleashed carnage - and he CANNOT put it back in its box.

You can. A lot of the commercial shipping** would/should have had insurance against war prior to the current situation happening. They would be crazy not to. The cost of insurance will have shot up though and as RedAlan said no insurer would actually cover a ship randomly taking it upon itself to sail through the Strait right now.

**Shadow fleets aside

I was wondering when Chinese tankers with big Chinese flags painted on the sides will turn up, and sail through unmolested.

Although during the Houthi thing Chinese shipping went the long way round.
