Nicknames for tv shows

Just for fun. Do you have shortcuts nicknames for anything? When I see my mum and Who Wants to be a Millionaire is on we always call it Millionaire. Plus we love Jeremy clarkson.

Murder island we went to Guadalupe on holiday and called it that all the time

I did not watch it but Jeremy Kyle was known as 'Who's the Daddy' in our team at work. It was always on during home visits (coals to Newcastle as work in Child Protection).

EastEnders has been "'Stenders" for a long time now in our house, with a lot of shows shortened down to one or two words. Race Across the World is simply "Race," Richard Osman's House of Games is just "Osman," and much like 'Stenders The Apprentice has become "'Prentice" over the years.

We do call Only Connect "Connect Four," because my mum can never remember the name! We also get mixed up between Death in Paradise and it's spin-offs, so it's usually "Death in Paradise in Cornwall" or "Death in Paradise in Australia" for those.

Oh god, we've got so many of these.

DH calls Eastenders Bell-Enders, hates it with a vengeance. I also watch a lot of serial killer/ true crime shows so he calls those MDK - Murder Death Kill!

‘Blues Brothers Blood Thing’ is Blue Bloods because we can never remember the proper name. The one with Tom Selleck in it.

Didn't Ian McKellen famously call it that dismissively in an interview? I don't know if he was the first and everybody copied him, or if he copied what he had already heard others saying?!

We call Garden Rescue, Garden Creepers after the way the losing gardener hides round the corner and does some whispery commentary while the winning gardener reveals the garden to the owners. It's so weird!

All property shows are referred to as ‘smug fuckers’ (anything with Phil and Kirsty, Place in the Sun, ‘smug fuckers move to the country’ -can’t remember the real name, sorry) and Twat Designs.
