I don't think people in general are anti American on MN. It has become a bit more prevalent recently because there have been examples, on threads, of Americans unable to see the issue with their citizens being shot in the street by their own Government. When this is over, it will go back to usual welcome and acceptance.

I don't think people should breed dogs for profit. If someone's dog has a litter, I don't think they should be sold, rather given away, although I guess if someone insists on paying for the puppy that's OK.
I meant in the normal common-sense scenario of someone deciding they want a dog and going to a breeder; I think people should go to shelters instead

That's different though. The English pronunciation of 'Paris' is a) long-established and b) consistent with the way those letters are usually pronounced in English. Pronouncing chorizo as 'choritso' makes no sense - it's not how you pronounce a 'z' in English or Spanish!

Quick sidenote; that bit of embryological development, like any other, can go wrong for XX (female) foetuses, eg; Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome, in which the ovaries develop but the uterus & often the upper portion of the vagina do not. It's very, very rare but it happens, just as in utero development of any other aspect of anatomy can be subject to mishap.
