Hi all. I've been so exhausted with work, I'm barely keeping up with you all. Feeling a bit down tonight and think it's fatigue and pain. There's some complicated life stuff going on. Usual niggles and some added pressure at work. Line manager is off sick and don't really know where I am with bigger boss. They're relatively new and I'm not that keen or sure about them.
I'm desperate to see my mum and take leave at Easter but not sure what might be approved in my line manager's absence.
Felt really uncomfortable at work. I'm symptomatic. I really struggled in my meeting. There was a lot of background noise. I really suffer when I'm very fatigued with noise intolerance and brain fog. One presenter spoke so fast I found it exhausting and too hard to concentrate. It felt almost like physical pain having to listen. Then someone else was typing constantly (which is rude because there's no reason to be doing that) but she has long nails so it's a constant ticky ticky clacky noise. I can't bear it. Then...and this sounds bad ... another presenter has a very strong accent which is unusual which I find tiring because I have to think about what she's saying. Her English is excellent and she's good at her job and v nice...I just find her hard to listen to. 🙈 Then there was gardening work outside with machinery and sirens. It was really hard going. 😭
Thanks for the indulgent whinge.
@TeaAndStrumpets MEcfs diagnosis and so called treatment is so varied. I've never seen an an endocrinologist. They tried to refer me to rheumatology and it was rejected. Despite it being neurological, I've not seen a neurologist. The only consultant I ever saw was half an hour via video call to get my diagnosis. He was subcontracted by my NHS area apparently and that's stopped now.
@FurForksSake I hope you get the blue badge. I was rejected and then reapplied when I'd got my consultant diagnosis and got it. It's due for renewal this year and I'm worrying they won't renew. I definitely needed doctor's letter and consultant diagnosis to get mine.
