If I asked you

"Do you have any personal recommendations for an electrician please"

What would your response be?

OP posts:
Tonissister · 14/02/2026 09:56

No. Wish I did. But I know an amazing plasterer and a reliable plumber.

Seeingadistance · 14/02/2026 09:57

Yes, and here’s his name and number.

Wakemeupinapril · 14/02/2026 09:57

Yes, my ds...

pizzaHeart · 14/02/2026 09:59

Yes, Xxxxxx. They did rewiring at our house and I found them sensible and reliable.

Myoldbear · 14/02/2026 09:59

Yes, he's done work for loads of our friends.

Megsdaughter · 14/02/2026 10:00

Yes, my DS

LightningMode · 14/02/2026 10:01

No, sorry.

pizzaHeart · 14/02/2026 10:01

@plentyofsunshine please tell us why you’d ask otherwise we wouldn’t recommend your threads any more 😉

ShetlandishMum · 14/02/2026 10:01

Yes.

caringcarer · 14/02/2026 10:02

I'd recommend one of my neighbours who has done lots of work for me on my own house and on btl houses.

MartinasKitchen · 14/02/2026 10:02

Yes here's (close friend) his number

MuddyPawsIndoors · 14/02/2026 10:04

Yes, my brother.

Why are you asking OP, what's the backstory?

BlueWall11 · 14/02/2026 10:05

Yes, xxxx is really good, here's his number

xOlive · 14/02/2026 10:06

Yes, I know several, what sort of work do you need doing?
That’s what I’d say.

ClarasSisters · 14/02/2026 10:06

Yes. But I'm not telling you.

Jk. Here's his name and number.

But if you ask the question on a local Facebook group or similar then you'll get loads of people advertising themselves or their partners in return and less of the actual recommendations which is frustrating.

Imlyingandthatsthetruth · 14/02/2026 10:10

Given the only possible answers are "yes" or "no", what do you want from this thread?

BauhausOfEliott · 14/02/2026 10:11

’Sorry, no.’

Depending on who was asking, I might say ‘Sorry, I don’t, but try asking [a mutual acquaintance who lives in the area], I know they had loads of work done recently’.

Why do you want to know?

Owly11 · 14/02/2026 10:23

Yes I know a good one but he is very busy so not sure if he will fit you in but I can send his details if you like.

newrubylane · 14/02/2026 10:29

If you find one, let me know!

SilverPink · 14/02/2026 10:30

What a strange thread. If I knew one I’d say yes, this guy. If I didn’t I’d say no, sorry.

Wiaa · 14/02/2026 10:32

Well i own an electrical contracting company so I'd ask what they needed doing, we don't really do residential except for family though but i know a lot of trades people

BarbaraKirksKaftan · 14/02/2026 16:32

Yes, I’ll send you a link to his facebook.

SockQueen · 14/02/2026 16:34

No, sorry, but there's a couple of guys on the local FB group who seem you get recommended (and not just by their wives!)

LindorDoubleChoc · 14/02/2026 16:36

Yes, I'll find his number for you.

Morepositivemum · 14/02/2026 16:37

No, they’re so hard to find
