Honest answers please- sex frequency!!

Hi everyone,
I’m keen to find out how often other married couples in my situation really have sex.

we’re 45 & 46, 1 teen at home. We both work in busy demanding jobs. I’ve realised that we haven’t had sex since June last year!!!!

how often are others in our age category etc having sex?

Late 40s, no kids, once or twice a week
Once or twice a day when on holiday

Mid-40s - maybe once every two weeks. Once a week at best.
Now in early 50s - hardly ever. Also happy with that in general.

Twice a week.

I think everyone will be doing it tomorrow night …

About once a week here. We’d both like more but we have a disabled child who only sleeps when one of us are in bed with him so it limits opportunities.

We're in our early 40s and usually once a week on a Saturday night but we do sometimes go two weeks without. Both running around working full time and being kids taxi drivers for their various sports clubs we are just knackered most of the time at this age not gonna lie. I will get an early night tonight perhaps to get myself a good night's sleep to get jiggy tomorrow night.

59 & 67 , married 37 yrs , one adult child at home and we average 1-2 times a week . We won’t be doing it tomorrow night as he’s away cat sitting our grandcat .

Well it depends how loud you are

Together just over 20 years. Can have spells of daily. Or can be 2 weeks without. Probably averages to twice a week ish.

Thankfully we tend to match each others moods. Or at least DH is gracious enough to not show his disappointment if I’m not feeling it, but also is always in the mood when I am. 🤣

Fifites. Once every couple of months, more when we're on holiday and feeling more relaxed. Both of us seem to have had lots illnesses this winter too, so maybe it's been a bit drier than usual.

Anyway it wouldn’t really matter how loud we are, our nearest neighbour is about 1/4 mile away.

Another couple who have been together 20+ years and it can go months without. Both early 40s. Neither of us bothered.

We had loads of sex as teens and in 20s and when TTC and then it naturally dwindled.

My daughter at uni is doing it three times a week and sometimes not with the same boy 😟

Both 62. Probably average 1 per month. More when on holiday as husband is still working and has a mentally exhausting job. He also works away. It’s good when it happens but it’s not the be all and end all. We’re still affectionate in other ways and are comfortable with just cuddling in bed without either of us expecting sex. Been together 40 years. In our twenties it could be twice per day!

Late 50s me and late 60s DH. About once every week to 10 days. Both retired and good health and no DCs living at home.

About once a week. Used to be more but we have an 18month old and both work full time. Late 30s, early 40s. We tend to make time on a Saturday night for abit of a stay in date night. I know it’s not very spontaneous but we are trying to keep the flame alive despite being bloody shattered most of the time

Once or twice a month - both mid/late 40ds, working with one young child.

This is the perfect amount for me and he won't initiate. He knows if he wants more, it's up to him to initiate, so I suppose it works for both of us.
