I’ve put a baked potato in the oven for my lunch today and can now smell it cooking! I have lovely celeriac remoulade to put on it once it’s ready and some salad. I am genuinely excited for it and it’s making me so happy!

What’s brining you all joy on this grey February day?

Knowing that I will be back from work in a couple of hours and into bed for a nap with my electric blanket turned on.
I'm so cold, I'm a home carer and, have been frozen since I left home at 06.45

You are my hero 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

The dog snoring sat with my husband in loving silence just feeling content and happy.

Our daughter is going through a phase where rather than a nice calm bedtime she tries to talk you to death, and she’ll do it for ages and ages. The only way so far to stop her is to pretend to fall asleep, usually she then stops and lays down herself. Tonight when I did it she put her favourite teddy to sleep next to me and whispered “love you daddy sleep sleeps” she then body slammed me, which isn’t good for sleep sleeps.

My little one throwing his arms around me in a giant hug. I didn't know such pure powerful love could exist.

We've been through some very hard times, but he has just been incredible. I see him thriving and just feel like the luckiest person in the world. He is teaching me the meaning of strength and resilience.

I went to see Miss Saigon in Southampton this afternoon and it was excellent! Ended up chatting to a lovely lady next to me in the interval, and found out we had some mutual friends from abroad, and also that we'd got married a week apart in the same church! Made me smile.

I’ve some fab books at the mo and am putting myself back into the cosy winter vibes to get me through to spring. Also good music and a hot water bottle!!

Something my 5 year old DD said earlier, we were talking about why her bobble wouldn’t go in my hair when we both have ‘lots of hair’. I said - ‘well you’ve got soft silky baby hair still’ and she said in all seriousness, ‘and you’ve got rough hair, like a toad’.

I caught her eye and burst out laughing and we both just cracked up and now I keep giggling thinking about it. I guess her getting older and having my same sense of humour is bringing me joy, we laugh together a lot these days.

Also I’m in bed with a cup of tea and that’s bringing me joy, I absolutely love my bed.

Had an unexpected parcel delivered from my friend in Italy. It was canvases she had painted. She had a stroke a few years ago and to be honest they are better than I could ever hope to do. My 6.3kg cat is now squashed up and sleeping in the 8 inch square box she sent them in.
