I’ve put a baked potato in the oven for my lunch today and can now smell it cooking! I have lovely celeriac remoulade to put on it once it’s ready and some salad. I am genuinely excited for it and it’s making me so happy!

What’s brining you all joy on this grey February day?

My new handbag arrived yesterday. It’s a vintage 2003 LV speedy and I love it.

It’s made me smile in a difficult stressful time. I have two toddlers, my mum is undergoing tests for breast cancer (second time possibly in ten years), and I’m in the final year of a PhD. I needed a new bag!

Snowdrops! Although as I say that I see crocuses. Lovely, even in the rain!

The spring bulbs are coming up in my garden the tiniest bit more every day.
The birds are starting the pair up and are loving the suet block and mealworms i put out for them. I texted the person who lived in my house before me and let her know and she said she'd taken 8 years to get blue tits to come to her garden. It's lovely to see them still here.
I'm pregnant and WFH and just had the most amazing pasta and tinned tomato meal for lunch. Followed by a nap. Bed gives me joy atm.

The 6 Nations start tonight with an absolute belter of France v Ireland. I’m absolutely beside myself!

Going to bed & cuddling my dog. He's very good at cuddles.

Oh my the horror...partner jumped in here for literally 3 minutes before me though lol
I also had a post work nap on the sofa under my heated throw, with the dog. Bliss

I got a box of chocolates for my birthday today. Not fancy or expensive, but my favourite box of chocolates.

I have not eaten them yet but the thought they someone bought them with me in mind has made me so happy.

I love a jacket potato.

For me it’s discovering that my libido wasn’t actually dead, I was just shut down by selfish men.

Thoroughly enjoying finding my second wind at 50.

Getting my packing cubes out the loft in preparation for our holiday to Punta Cana. I’ve been ordering the kids new summer clothes from Next and ticking things off of my packing list- I’m so excited!

I'm sitting here by myself with a blanket.And cuddling a lovely, big soft toy because i'm feeling a bit lonely. This toy does have lovely soft fur, though. God that makes me sound pathetic.

Reformer Pilates. It is hard but my god it is brilliant.

I sacrificed a pair of balled up socks for my dog today - he was utterly delighted. Joy. 😁

As with most nights my DD is falling asleep in my bed ( she has trouble dropping off and prefers my bed) with her little hand resting on my arm while I doomscroll 💕 how ill miss that chubby little hand one day 😭

My elderly and gorgeous dog is asleep next to me on the sofa.
We've had better news about DH's cardiac surgeries this week after months of stress.
My grandson came to visit after school - we sat drinking tea in the kitchen chatting about his day, and he played darts on DH's dart board after. He's nearly 13 and no sign of stroppy teenager... yet. He's a wonderful lad with a kind heart and a quiet self confidence.

I've been walking every day to try and get my steps up and took this photo near where we live. And another vote for snowdrops. I took the photo a couple of weeks ago and they look a lot nicer now.

Just logged off for work. I have a day off tomorrow and I am so excited!!!! I have no plans but it’s got me so pleased.

I have applied for a job that I would have never applied for this time last last year. I put in a good application and I've just got a massive boost from it all week. The chances of actually getting it are very slim as it's a really competitive field but I've taken a crazy amount of confidence just from the application.

And, as always, my daughter is my greatest source of joy. She got the first wobbly tooth she's had in a couple of years and her excitement makes her seem so young again.
