A pro Trump thread to balance the 154 anti Trump threads!

Thought I’d be brave and start a pro-Trump thread for a change, after all, there are so many anti-Trump ones , we need some balance!
I even tried commenting on an anti-Trump thread today… and wow, just kept being told to go away, my comments were not well received. Honestly, I feel honoured to feel as if I have been officially deported, what an achievement!😂

It was found to be not credible. It was right there on the docs. Why didn’t you mention that part?

Does it not concern you that those allegeations have been made?

Lovelyview · 31/01/2026 11:57

Are you American OP?

Have you looked at the latest Epstein files release?

@RingoJuice Already said she (he?) doesn't care about that on another thread. What are a couple hundred trafficked and sexually abused children in comparison to the ability to be unnecessarily and performatively cruel to non-whites? What could be more exciting to the sociopath than detaining a 5 year old? It's all cool.

@BoyHowdy

I wonder whether it’s evident to those that know you in real life.

I think you're making some major assumptions about this poster's offline life.

I am supportive of the Trump administration's actions in working to restore women's rights under Title 9 and to halt gender 'affirming' treatment for minors. A detransitioner has just been awarded $2m in the US for the harms caused to her including a double mastectomy aged 16. The Democrats do not appear to be remotely aware that this is a huge medical scandal or even that men cannot become women. The Trump administration is also investigating health care providers for fraud and incorrect billing relating to this scandal. Trump's schtick is all about threatening stuff then getting people to agree to something slightly less mad. I don't like him but I think the Democrats would be considerably worse for the US at the moment. Hopefully the Democrats will return to sanity shortly although they show absolutely no sign of doing so at the moment.

What about the removal of women rights?

no right to bodily autonomy. Forced birth.

removal of DEI. people seem to think this only affects brown people but it also improves women’s access to traditionally male fields and the workplace generally..

the proposed plan for voter ID where your current id must match your birth ID. Will mean women who change their name on marriage cannot vote.

i do agree men should not be in women’s sports, and that under 18’s care should be very conservative. But I don’t believe for a second Trump has any thought for “women’s rights”, it’s more about keeping white male privilege and keeping women down.

And Mussolini is often credited with having made the trains run on time, so we should look away from the rest of the things he did.

I completely agree that Trump doesn't 'care' about women's rights. However, on the issue of Title 9 he has done something right for women. Abortion is legislated at State level. The Democrats had a long time since Roe vs Wade to enact a proper federal abortion law but didn't. DEI hurts women as much as it helps them. The fact that men who say they are women get included as women for a companies 'gender' pay gap statistics, get 'women of the year' awards and are asked to lead activities on International Women's Day shows that DEI really isn't for women. In the UK, the fact that bloody LNER spent £40,000 repainting a train in a Progress Pride flag while utterly failing to support disabled travellers like Dame Tanni Gray-Thompson shows that DEI tends to be about performance not reality. Many US feminists who have usually voted Democrat voted for Trump in the last election because it felt like their only option to put a stop to the appalling consequences of gender self-ID that The Democrats were pushing.

If you think upholding the right of women to define themselves as adult human females as like 'making the trains run on time' perhaps you haven't grasped the existential threat trans ideology poses to women's rights.

Maybe you haven't grasped the threat of project 25 on women's rights?

While the Trump administation is undoubtedly influenced by The Heritage Foundation - a right wing think tank that produced the Project 25 document, what particular legislation are they enacting that you feel is a threat to women's rights?

DuncinToffee · 31/01/2026 12:58

Women's health and work place equality for starters.

You seem to think that bringing down Roe vs Wade was nothing to do with Project 25, and you seem to think that because Democrats didn't implement federal abortion rights, the present situation is OK. Women are dying because they are being denied abortions in situations where their pregnancies go wrong. And that is happening under Republican administrations in the state where they live. Nothing to do with Trump and his people? If you think so, you're so starry eyed and naive there's no hope for you.

Meanwhile at the Federal level there is an increased push to ban the abortion pill because it is 'dangerous'. And let's not forget RFK and his crazy health policies - he was appointed by Trump, and his antivaxx lunacy is a direct threat to women, because they are the ones who have children.

Lastly, Trump's anti trans policies also impact adult trans people who are fully able to take decisions and should have the right to do so. The right is so hot on personal responsibility - so why are certain groups of people (women, trans) not allowed to make decisions and make their own mistakes?

I am genuinely interested in learning. What legislation is going through at the moment which affect these? As I said upthread, I am no fan of Trump but on some specific women's rights issues many US feminists felt they had no option to vote Republican. Here is Democrat Kara Dansky writing about Trump's executive order on Sex and Gender. https://www.liberalpatriot.com/p/on-trumps-executive-order-on-sex?utm_source=post-banner&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=posts-open-in-app&triedRedirect=true

Trump's Executive Order on Sex and Gender

It’s a rational policy and on every metric, voters agree with it.

The Supreme Court overturned Roe versus Wade during Joe Biden's presidency and the case was brought by the State of Mississippi. You can argue that Trump 'packed' the Supreme Court during his first presidency but there was nothing to stop Biden adding new Justices during his presidency and there has been plenty of time for the Democrats to enshrine abortion rights in Federal law since Roe versus Wade but they never did so. Save at least some of your anger for the Democrats for whom this has never been important enough to actually take action.

"In terms of abortion rights in the US, Project 2025 plans to:

limit access to abortion across the US
withdraw the FDA’s approval of the abortion pill mifepristone and remove it from the market

use the law (namely the 19th Century ‘Comstock Act’) to ban abortion pills, equipment or materials from being sent through the US Postal Service

dismantle abortion protections under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), which require emergency departments that receive Medicare funds to deliver abortion care in cases of emergency treatment, even in states where abortion is banned

increase data collection on abortion and require all states to report all abortions that take place—states that don’t share abortion data will have federal funds withheld

encourage the Department of Health and Human Services to “maintain a biblically based, social science-reinforced definition of marriage and family”

These Project 2025 policies on abortion would create the most restrictive abortion legislation in modern US history, which would have devastating consequences for women’s reproductive rights nationally and globally."

Project 25 isn't the Trump government. It comes from The Heritage Foundation Think Tank. I am genuinely interested in which of the anove policy suggestions is currently being legislated by the Trump Government.

Even if you are not interested in LGBT rights etc there is plenty listed in here that will have a direct impact on women.

If you mean the Epstein files, the Biden administration couldn’t air it I don’t think due to legal restrictions.

AFAIK they could have but didn’t direct the DoJ to release it. There were documents released here and there (flight lists) and that infamous photo of Andy

I admire Trump! His single minded determination to show the world that he's an absolutely demented despot of a rancid human being who can't string a coherent sentence together as he continues in his quest to make the US the laughing stock of the world is awesome 🙌

Russell Vought is co author of Project 25, Stephen Miller led an interest group that advised Project 25 on policy, Tom Homan apparently contributed to it. Pam Bondi is a supporter of the Project 25.

Everyone I don’t like is literally Hitler …

Honestly, he’s not that different to FDR (actually a bit less aggressive than FDR if we want to be real).

He’s also less aggressive than Eisenhower on deportations. Operation Wetback (yes, that’s what it was called) reportedly removed over a million Mexican workers.

So why do you jump to a rather irrelevant example in comparison to American history?

I don’t expect you to have a great knowledge of it, but it would be far closer to the mark to compare him to FDR or Andrew Jackson. Maybe even Lincoln prior to the Civil War (for people that are Lincoln haters; I’m kind of a Lincoln respecter).

But it’s not about that. It’s just a lazy smear of ‘ I don’t like this person and I think he’s bad for the world, literally HitleR’

Tiresome

Exactly.

Even RGB bemoaned the impact of Roe. In her opinion, it should have gone through the state legislatures and gained acceptance that way, instead of 9 men just twisting the constitution to get an answer they wanted (and I would have wanted it too, don’t get me wrong. But it is a direct cause for us still fighting about it 50 years later)
