I don’t think you understand serious MH issues if you think someone suffering from a period of genuine serious mental illness has the capacity and motivation to seek therapy, take responsibility for their actions and pay their bills. lol. Katie has on many occasions, taken responsibility for her actions. However I do agree that with her it seems to be a mixture of her personality, believing she’s above the law, and her MH issues, because her behaviour is an ongoing problem. I don’t think her MH can be blamed entirely. I’m no psychiatrist but IME I think she has borderline personality disorder. It’s a shame her family enable her rather than genuinely try to help her.

She just wants or needs publicity and whether it’s being laughed at or not, it will get her in the media.

I know a lot of people throw around various diagnosis from their keyboards, and aren’t trained to do so, but I can see where all of those saying she has mental health difficulties are coming from. I don’t feel comfortable laughing at someone who I think has a lot going on in their lives.

It is simply not possible for a family member to 'insist' that their relative be sectioned, for example, 'for their own good'. Do you realise how low the bar is for being deemed to have mental capacity? I can tell you it's on the floor. A person would have to be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others, or be barely able to tell you their own name, in order to meet it. I called the paramedics to an alcoholic relative of mine when it was clear he barely even knew who I was. The paramedics were powerless to take him to hospital - where he refused to go - and absolutely nothing could force him. He had 'capacity'. By the time I got him to A&E the next morning he was into advanced cirrhosis, liver failure and low blood sodium and was at most days away from death. His eyes were bulging out of his head, his abdomen was distended - it was a terrible sight.

This man was practically at death's door. If that wasn't enough to force someone into accepting help, I don't know what was. Price is an autonomous adult and if she won't accept help, then she won't.

Have a care for how truly horrific it is to watch someone you love self-destruct in such a tragic way - doesn't matter whether or not you think they 'brought it on themselves' - and know that there is precisely nothing you can to do save them. Only they can do that.

Stop blaming families. Their lot is already hard enough - and that this woman is clearly seriously ill should not be in question. Her images are heartbreaking.

I think this is why she goes to Turkey these days - I don't think surgeons in the UK or Europe will operate on her any more

Pretty sure they're not married and she (and him) have done it for some publicity - its worked tho right - shes back in the papers, he gets some publicity for his fake profiles etc. And in a few weeks - they'll get a 'divorce' - when all the noise dies down and they need some more drama.. this is literally what KP lives for...and no - im not bullying her, this is just what it is...tbh - im surprised shes avoided jail... its not very fair after all shes done..

@Fancycrab I have lifelong MH issues including several serious episodes that left me incapacitated, thanks anyway for the lol.

I got through them by seeking mental health support, therapy and anything that was available to me because it was my responsibility to do so, no one else’s.

Even at my worst, I did not scam anyone, harm or neglect anyone but myself, blame anyone or decide that I had a free pass to shit on everyone around me without consequence.

The rude awakening is not due to me or others who’ve been through the same. It’s due to people like you making excuses, being self righteous and enabling someone who sees harming others as all in a days work if it gets them what they want.

When those younger children start speaking out about what they witnessed in her care or she kills someone when she’s drug driving, I hope you keep the same ‘lol’ energy for yourself. lol.

You don’t tend to see such vindictive and comments just wanting a jab here on MN.

Yes, Katie has a lot of issues and faults, but some of what’s being written here is below the belt, including saying she’s a ‘porta potty’ in Dubai. I’m pretty sure she would have been exposed in The Sun and the Daily Mail if that was what she was doing out there. Her public profile is far too high for her to get away with stuff like that and there would be proof and people wanting to sell the story.
I’m not a fan of hers but that is one of the nastiest lies you can make up about a person imo

She obviously has issues. I think being in the public eye, the constant need to be thought of as beautiful and to have attention, as well as being used (and abused) and everything that has gone on has really messed with her mind - and body. If she had been mentally stable and wiser she’d have understood it would be so much better to step back from the media circus and now she’s gotten herself mixed up with a con man fantasist on top of it all.

In the pics of her from a week or two ago with Princess she really doesn’t look well, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her look so thin. Her appearance in general says a lot about her state of mind. This is not a well person, and I really hope her family can help pull her back from the brink.
