Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

I guess that might explain the Pelz-Beckham surname after the marriage, he was being pressured to sign over his family name . Crazy stuff.

There are quite a few similarities to Harry, I think. Family image, growing up under a spotlight and treatment from the press. Along with the courting of the press to plant favourable stories.

Yikes. Doesn’t seem like they’re going to patch things up anytime soon. I’m slightly interested in how much power the Beckhams have or think they have here. Yes they’re a brand more than a family, but doesn’t Nicola come from a family so wealthy that they make David and Victoria look poor as church mice in comparison? Or have I got her mixed up with someone else?

Seriously though, whatever has gone on, it’s a gut punch when you grow up and it suddenly hits you that your family and upbringing isn’t what you thought you it’s been all that time. I’m sure all the lovely money helps in a sense, but it won’t make things 100% better no doubt.

I find this really sad that instead of behaving like a grown adult man BB felt the best thing to do was to put out a very public message. I'm sure his parents have done a lot for him over the years- backed all the career choices etc. He could've just written a letter to them but very sad for all the family

I guess this is what happens when you have narcissists for parents.

I think he’d privately , countless times asked them not to comment/ like / his social media- but she went ahead anyway. Because in her world - she’s right. Typical narcissist.

Poor Brooklyn, he will regret it as I bet Prince Harry already does. Terrible decision to go public, no matter whether the stories are true or not. Now he is totally dependent on his wife and her family and will have to do whatever they tell him to do. No leverage left for him - he can’t earn money his own way and now can’t go back to his parents. Independence gone.

Having supportive family and rewarding career matters so much for one’s stability and mental health. Was totally unnecessary to go public and dance by the tune of his wife.

His examples are so minor and petty in the grand scheme of things.

How? He has thrown his siblings under the bus too dont forget ? His new family are another level let's hope it stays rosy

I'm thinking there's two sides to this story, but I hope DB and VB don't go tit for tat.

As someone who grew up with Posh and Becks this is eye opening. I recently watched the doc about Victoria’s clothing brand too. Brooklyn does show up for her at the end but it did feel awkward when the children were brought out to support her.

I have no idea what his upbringing was like and while he talks of negatives of being part of brand Beckham it would have bought him 'nepo' opportunities and he certainly liked driving fancy car(s) courtesy of Daddy's money and had no issue accepting a $500,000.00 Jaguar as a wedding present 🤷‍♀️

My feeling is I don't think he has issued this publicly off his own back, it has all the signs of being under the influence of Daddy Pelz and family. Good luck to him, I think he will need it.

The Beckhams have been planting awful stories about Nicola Peltz for months and months now. I thought something like this would happen as they had completely backed him into a corner and the daily mail leaks were pretty much daily.

A letter they'd have no doubt leaked to the press claiming it had been penned under duress and Nicola made him write it.

He has behaved like a grown adult man. After weeks and months of his parents trampling over his boundaries and planting negative stories about his wife in the media, he's taken control of the situation and said, Enough. And he's done it in a way that cannot be misconstrued, or manipulated, or rebuked. As for what his parents did for him, did you not read his statement? The way he was raised, to put the family brand above all else, caused him acute anxiety. Yet still they persisted dragging him out in front of the cameras at every opportunity. I think he's handled it superbly.

Hopefully, they will keep their children completely private.

No and why would ANY mother want to dance like that with her adult son? Eugh, it give me the ick, have a dance with your son by all means but AFTER the Bride & Groom have had their first dance and in a more appropriate manner.
