Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

He's lanced the boil, truth will always come out.
Guessed there was a lot more in this than met the eye.

But the children will own their own trademarks after 18? I can understand the parents trademarking the names before 18 and passing the children afterwards to stop other people exploiting it. Parent’s controlling their adult children’s name though is just plain bonkers!!

Ownership says it's VB as parent or guardian for. I am not a lawyer and know diddly squat about the legal ins and outs of trademarks. But given that three out of four are now over 18, and it still has VB as the owner in the above form, it suggests that nothing has been automatically moved over to them on reaching adulthood. Maybe it doesn't?

IAmKerplunk · 19/01/2026 20:38

Surely they wouldn’t use the phrase ‘recollections may vary’?! 😂

For VB it might be more along the lines of ‘Spring / Summer collections may vary’

It's just your bog standard family fallout being played out publicly. He's being a bit of a little prince about some of the things for example dancing with his mum ruining his wedding so that he had to have another wedding. But then if you have a family who have brought you up to expect perfectly orchestrated events then you will get this type of meltdown at imperfection or perceived slights.

I also think he and Harry & their wives should definitely be hanging out together.

It just shows money definitely doesn't bring you happiness, let's hope some very expensive therapy does instead!

I’m not sure I agree, I’d not want the first dance at my wedding to be with my dad.

SleeplessInWherever · 19/01/2026 20:46

Emilyinspace · 19/01/2026 20:45

Not quite. Nicola Pelz family could easily have paid for this kind of wedding

How would he have met her, if not by being Brooklyn Beckham?

It’s not like he’d have bumped into her in Aldi, is it.

BananaPeels · 19/01/2026 20:46

ednaclouda · 19/01/2026 20:45

maybe someone somewhere will do an AI version of the VB wedding dance

There has to be footage somewhere that I am sure will suddenly get leaked!

Does anyone think the Beckham’s pr team might come on here to trash Brooklyn?

Yes! Daily Mail comments section for sure…

Downbythelac · 19/01/2026 20:46

Didn’t the Peltz’s sue the wedding planners, who had been drafted in at the last minute because and two other wedding planning companies had either quit or been fired. The company being sued said Nicola and her family were a nightmare, maybe that could explain why VB threw her hands in the air and refused to design the dress in the end. If I remember correctly the wedding planners only had good things to say about VB and DB. I wonder if their business survived.

Ironic really that he goes to the effort of mentioning his 500 person wedding, and name dropping Marc Anthony.

He seemed to miss the point that he wouldn’t have had a 500 person wedding or have Marc Anthony announcing anything, if he wasn’t Brooklyn Beckham.

He’s only a “somebody” because he’s David Beckham’s son. Doesn’t appear to be giving up the fame that came from that tortuous upbringing does he.

I think this is an interesting reveal of a certain set of assumptions - that if you give your child enough money & status, you’re allowed to treat that child badly, invade their privacy, ignore their wishes, exploit their name for your own gain, etc.

In other words, you can buy the right to treat someone like shit.

I am sure this set of assumptions is shared by many wealthy people - which makes them awful parents.

I’m not wealthy, but if I was, and if I used my money to benefit my child, I hope I would have the decency to recognise that I had not bought my child by doing do. That my child still had rights - and that these included (for example) the right to use his own name however he wanted, and to refuse to dance with me in a way, and at a time, that he found inappropriate or upsetting.

Gahr · 19/01/2026 20:42

His surname is Beckham, his parents can't take that from him. People insist on comparing him with Harry, but the situations are quite different, despite the Beckhams' delusions of grandeur. His name is not a royal title.

He is the one who has labeled his surname the ‘Brand’ as if he’s been branded, if he feels that way- he can remove his surname from all his own ‘work’ - he can be his own person, if he wants to separate himself and his work from his very famous surname, which he has labeled ‘a brand’ - then he can do this quite easily, it doesn’t change his name - but it removes the association from the ‘brand’ he hates so much…

or does he like it because it gets him financial gain?

I think the latter.

I must be the only one who doesn't believe him 😂

No I'm with you girl..think alot of it is exaggerated..for someone who wants privacy ..he's in the media every bloody day..let's see the receipts of all this..I hope the beckams have a comeback..

But the comparison isn’t his life vs life of ordinary person

it’s his life vs the life he could have had if his parents hadn’t exploited him for their brand

BunnyLake · 19/01/2026 20:47

mumstheword1x · 19/01/2026 20:05

He’s 26, if he didn’t like it - he could’ve separated himself from
his family at 18 years old, 8 years ago. He liked the rewards his surname got him when that was the finances he sponged off of.

I doubt his heiress wife would’ve looked at him twice if he wasn’t a Beckham, but because he is, he’s now married to a billionaires daughter, someone else’s payroll, let’s now turn on my parents, but still poses as Brooklyn Beckham.

There’s people dying, children dying, in war stricken countries.. and we have people that have NO sense of how hard life can be.

I find your last paragraph strange. Do you mean that unless you are suffering the same or similar then you have no right to feel troubled or be upset about anything? I always wonder why people trot this kind of thing out.

Letsgodancing · 19/01/2026 20:47

I remember some years ago when Brooklyn was coming of age 17/18 possibly but the rest of the kids were still children, and there was some pose between Brooklyn and Victoria which everyone said was a bit Inappropriate, possibly at one of her shows but cannot remember now, so it does tie in to what he says about the wedding dance.
The PR teams must have a long long night ahead of them (or afternoon for LA )
The whole situation does seem sad on all sides but Brooklyn may have had enough and he knows how the Pr machine works

TiggerAndHobbes · 19/01/2026 20:48

Peanutbutteryday · 19/01/2026 20:39

The main allegation I don’t get is the dog one. No one, VB included, is required to sponsor/help someone/chsrity - everyone is entitled to be asked and also to say no if they wish. If true may be for a reason not shared.

otherwise the wedding and dance allegation is awful alone!!!! And I believe it as there will have been witnesses so can’t really lie about it

I think it’s because it’s somewhat dehumanises somebody - and they don’t even like dogs! But my billionaire wife loves rescue dogs! So she is nice!

Interestingly, his story directly before the statement is about dogs too. So he must be a good person, if he’s trying to help dogs!

mumstheword1x · 19/01/2026 20:48

ednaclouda · 19/01/2026 20:43

@mumstheword1x I agree with you
I just wonder who is paying for the expensive lawyers to write letters I bet it isnt from Brookys bank account wonder how long his ‘endorsments’ last for
what if she dumps him for someone else he’s out in the cold and not welcome back home if they have kids how is he going to pay alimony to her …. just some thoughts of mine because nicoles family could say he isnt blood either …….

Thank you!!! I don’t feel sorry for him in the slightest, people fall out with their families all the time but don’t have billions of pounds to fall back into. It’s embarrassing.

LiveLuvLaugh · 19/01/2026 20:48

I wonder if he’s OK. I find the statement very odd - why does he feel the need to air all this in public? I feel sorry for the Beckhams - I’m sure they must be worried about him but they probably have no way of reaching out.

Her family did pay for it.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think what a cow VB was to suddenly pull out of making the dress with just weeks to go. Every bride knows that getting the dress sorted is something you do months in advance. I'd have been so upset if I'd been Nicola.

Same. But I think they’re too above it to hit back in public. I hope so anyway.

But random nannies at the top table? Surely both sets of parents at the top table plus best man, etc and rest of the close families on adjacent tables. Then friends etc.

Random nannies? It was their grandmothers.

FrothyCothy · 19/01/2026 20:43

I wonder if he and Harry are friends?!

If there not, the should be. Can start there own support group. Harry has got to be the OG nepo baby lol.

In all seriousness, it’s sad when families fall out so publicly. But I guess everything is public in these circles. It just cements my view that forcing your kids into a media circus is mostly a bad idea really!

His first name has also been TM’ed though

i I mean he could just change his whole name I suppose 🙄
