Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

Regardless, there’s worse things happening in the world, while he’s tucked up in his mansion, it’s bad taste, in my opinion. He’s privileged.

Why does that make you side with his parents over him? He isn't complaining and saying he has it worse than other people. He is complaining that his parents mistreated him. Do you think that pain just goes away because you are rich?

pavillion1 · 19/01/2026 20:10

He’s a jumped up little twerp I can not wait for him to come crawling back to mummy and daddy .. The narrative that he demonised in his speech is what has been able to give him a life that most could only dream of . The absolute audacity to write a statement like that when he is very clearly to dumb to see that he already being played in another narrative like a puppet .. Thick as shit and unbelievably ungrateful.

I clicked on his profile pic but nothing came up

It’s still there, just checked, a pic about dog rescues comes up first

I really dismissed that story about VB hijacking the first dance as just a nasty made up rumour, and the fact she behaved inappropriately enough for him to feel humiliated, that is some crazy shit !!

Damm, the whole loving close family thing is just a charade, DB always hanging out of the daughter in the same way VB was always draped over Brooklyn, how sad for those 4 kids.

Brooklyn is at treacherous snake. ‘It is sharper than a serpent’s tooth to have an ungrateful child’

I think it’s something parents who put their dc in the spotlight to build a brand need to consider. He wouldn’t have had a choice when young.

Does anyone else want to see the video of VB grinding on her son at his wedding 👀

I really really do 😬

TiggerAndHobbes · 19/01/2026 20:11

What is interesting about his statement is that it is all about his wife. It dues remind me of Prince Harry. Almost as if they’ve been waiting for a reason to have go nuclear.

I wonder whether there’s an element of them subconsciously picking wives that will be a catalyst towards doing so,

Now you’ve said ‘grinding’ I’m not sure I do. 😂

Can someone explain the name thing to me ?

I’d say it’s the right to use the name Beckham for business of any kind - so that the only “Brand Beckham” is David and Victoria.

I can’t imagine they were trying to actually change his legal name, though obvs im just surmising.

Hardly damning. Of course they were always going to control the narrative.
Makes him sound like a petulant teenager rather than just setting the record straight

I think it suggests that fame can have as much of an abusive effect on offspring as neglect.

IjustbelieveinMe · 19/01/2026 20:12

having read the House of Beckham book I totally believe this.

What struck me was VB basically stating that BB was a proxy husband to her when DB was away...parentification is very damaging.
Then there's the many affairs DB has had - can't have been a fun atmosphere at home.
I'm starting to wonder if his cookery/photography efforts over the years were pushed by the Beckhams?
He doesn't seem to have any natural talent for either.
I admire the Ramseys for the way their kids are pretty normal/regular careers. Can't be easy when you have very rich parents in the public eye.

Who are the women he’s allegedly had affairs with?

@pavillion1
He has been pimped out by his parents since before he was born. They have used him and his siblings to make money.

Really sad if his comments are true. Even a quarter of all that pressure would be bad enough.
I wonder how will Harper feel in 10-20 years from now. They really do parade the poor girl everywhere and the choices of clothes are often too grown up for her I feel. It is weird how David is constantly holding hands etc, she's not a 5 year old.
I feel sorry for Victoria in a way because she is so far gone into all this public image stuff, it's all quite surreal.

I agree with you, particularly about Harper. I was astonished at how she was dressed at an event when she was only 12. She was at the Ramsay wedding dressed in the typical VB slinky dress, she's only 14.
It's very much Brand Beckham and I feel sorry for Brooklyn.

Americano75 · 19/01/2026 20:13

I really thought that first dance story was rubbish, it's insane to think it actually did happen. Bloody hell.

They probably didn’t want Nicola to have it, so yes, I’d say they tried to change his legal name!

I used to be a wedding planner. Pretty common for the parents to have their own tables, normallly situated in front so they can face the bride and groom.

Not my experience so I guess it varies. Mind you I've never been to a wedding with 500 guests so that might make a difference.

KidsDoBetter · 19/01/2026 20:13

i do still suspect that there is wrong doing on both sides. The wedding dance story was planted back in May. Doubtless by Brooklyn’s people. And the rebuttal doubtless by VB & DB. And so it goes. Very sad.

mumstheword1x · 19/01/2026 20:13

Gahr · 19/01/2026 20:08

Oh, come on! You really expect an 18 year old, who is none too bright, to be able to do that? He had been groomed for fame his entire life, and it was the only world he knew. How many people recognize at age 18 the damage that their parents have done them? I am 42 and still figuring some things out.

He quotes “My entire life” which means he has thought this for a long time - he wouldn’t have the wife if it wasn’t for his part in the ‘Beckham brand’ - loves the rewards, but hates being told “no” screams spoilt brat.
