Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

Two sides and everything but I am sure he didn't do badly growing up in a life of luxury.

I’m sure he didn’t, but that was hardly his choice was it? We can’t help the lives we’re born into.

LadyLolaRuben · 19/01/2026 20:14

The examples are so specific and some with witnesses such as the first dance with VB, I totally believe him.

It took a lot of courage to speak out, I respect him for that. In fact he's been quite restrained for some time. I wish him all the best he's clearly been under a lot of pressure

I expect Beckham PR are busy tonight

It will be interesting what they say , perhaps nothing and it will die away

They won’t do anything. Or if they do, it’ll be some sort of happy family puff-piece.

They’ll be like when David’s affair came to light.

He’s 26, if he didn’t like it - he could’ve separated himself from
his family at 18 years old, 8 years ago. He liked the rewards his surname got him when that was the finances he sponged off of.

I doubt his heiress wife would’ve looked at him twice if he wasn’t a Beckham, but because he is, he’s now married to a billionaires daughter, someone else’s payroll, let’s now turn on my parents, but still poses as Brooklyn Beckham.

There’s people dying, children dying, in war stricken countries.. and we have people that have NO sense of how hard life can be.

I agree. I came from an abusive poor household and separated myself from them at just turned 17, I left with a few hundred quid from my part time job. He is 26 still with a public Instagram page posting shite cookery videos whining about wanting a private life?! It must be embarrassing for him that none of his ventures have taken off but he has had many years as an adult now where he has been free to make his own decisions. Lots of celebs fall off the radar and are never seen again, I'm pretty sure the son of celebs could do that if they wanted to. His public social media pages would indicate that that is something he has no interest in.

I think it suggests that fame can have as much of an abusive effect on offspring as neglect.

I agree, it’s a form of neglect.

Look at posts on here - grown women, in their 40s and 50s, understandably stressed because they feel bullied at work/excluded by playground mums/rejected by family/left out by friends.

Now just imagine the whole world (nearly!) has an opinion on you, your family, your background, everything you do… and you didn’t choose it, just circumstances at birth. Never knowing who you can trust (hence marrying somebody who ‘gets it’ possibly). Never free to just walk down the road alone and go into a shop. Must be horrible!

Boododedoop · 19/01/2026 20:12

Who are the women he’s allegedly had affairs with?

The Bowers book names several. Brooklyn’s comment about ‘inauthentic relationships’ is interesting in the light of these rumours

MidWayThruJanuary · 19/01/2026 20:15

@mumstheword1x
He is a very damaged young man. As are his brothers. And his sister.

Letsskidaddle · 19/01/2026 20:15

Rollonsummer1 · 19/01/2026 20:06

Can someone explain the name thing to me ?

I understood it to mean they - DB&VB - wanted Brooklyn to sign away the professional ‘use’ of his name to David and Victoria to own and capitalise on. For example, they could launch and market a range of “Brooklyn Beckham/BB Cookware” but THEY would own the name and get money from it. The name “Brooklyn Beckham” and derivatives of it would become an entity in its own right that David and Victoria would/could make money from (hence the payday comment).

HRTQueen · 19/01/2026 20:15

Good for him I have always felt sorry for the children they have lived a life of ridicule for the brand

They have sold their children to the press for their brand and desire for attention and more money but their desire for attention seems to override everything

there was absolutely no need for their children’s lives to be intruded on so much they are not royalty (even this shouldn’t be expected but they are for different reasons an interest the to public)

I hope he is very happy with his wife

Horses7 · 19/01/2026 20:15

I’m amazed that I find myself believing most of what he says - it sounds plausible and balanced. Although I think he may have had help writing it!!

Rollonsummer1 · 19/01/2026 20:01

I have to say people called all this out on here ! It was spot on what posters said !!

I can't believe it , what the hell was the wedding dance ?
What was she thinking ?
Were they madly jealous ??
Why did they cancel her dress ??
She called him evil for putting two single grannies ln their table ?

Edited

I don’t think it’s so much posters calling it out as that those rumours were already in the press and on gossip forums. Meaning that it’s likely Brooklyn’s side were also planting stories.

GinToBegin · 19/01/2026 20:16

isn’t BB just another nepo baby with no discernible talent but endless opportunities, most of which have been absolutely spaffed?

That said, DB and VB seem to have pimped their kids since before they were even born, with little thought for their wishes or well-being, so no particular sympathy for them. And DB will clearly take any shilling on offer.

What an absolute shower of shit.

Gahr · 19/01/2026 20:16

mumstheword1x · 19/01/2026 20:13

He quotes “My entire life” which means he has thought this for a long time - he wouldn’t have the wife if it wasn’t for his part in the ‘Beckham brand’ - loves the rewards, but hates being told “no” screams spoilt brat.

I still don't blame him. The Beckhams sound abusive and I don't know why some people see them as national treasures. They are IMO gifters on a par with the Kardashians, although less obviously crass and tacky.

pavillion1 · 19/01/2026 20:16

MidWayThruJanuary · 19/01/2026 20:12

@pavillion1
He has been pimped out by his parents since before he was born. They have used him and his siblings to make money.

Actually I don’t believe this .. actually far less then a lot of celebrity couples .. They all hounded by the press 24hrs a day more than most .

Bruisername · 19/01/2026 20:16

Sadly I’m not surprised. I suspected Brooklyn in particular was very much controlled

the mention of always being at the photo calls (such as at her fashion shows) rang very true - the press were pretty vicious the first time he and his wife didn’t go to her Paris show and it always felt like they had been briefed

Onefortheroad25 · 19/01/2026 20:17

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 19/01/2026 19:11

I was waiting for him to mention David’s affair/s for the ultimate microphone drop. It was the only thing that was missing.

Was absolutely sure he would mention it. That would be the ultimate fuck them under the bus moment.

I hope the same. I was annoyed when David finally got his Knighthood, he showed his true self a few years back when those emails were leaked. He threw an absolute shit fit and basically admitted that all his charity work was in hope of getting a knighthood. Just gross. And yes, I hope Brooklyn spills all the tea. I wonder what really went down with Mary Charteris, for example.

Agreed, not to mention the charities are rolled out whenever they’re under negative press scrutiny including during covid link from 2020, caveat it’s the Sun (I know!):

Noting that BB also said he was put under intense public and private pressure from VB/DB… If BB steps back now and leaves them to it fair play to him.

Love that he’s kept up a close relationship with his grandparents. That speaks volumes.

David and Victoria Beckham launch huge PR campaign to repair damage to their brand

BRAND Beckham took a pounding after Posh tried to use the taxpayers’ furlough scheme to pay the staff in her plush London store – despite being worth £335million. Now I can reveal David and Victori…

Hardly damning. Of course they were always going to control the narrative.
Makes him sound like a petulant teenager rather than just setting the record straight

Yes, whilst I do have marginally more sympathy for him, it does all seem a bit Harry MW

Is there a video of the first dance? I'd love to see it.

What is all the stuff about signing away the rights to his name, before marriage? How would that work?

The Beckhams have always seemed to me so shallow and vain and grasping and fake. The poor lad’s complaints really do have the ring of truth against that background.

Imagine being persecuted by your family so publicly. And what an awful childhood behind all the posed photo opportunities! They probably didn’t even bother to take him to stately homes….

They have always appeared shallow and vain and grasping and fake to me too. Usually I just scroll past articles about them.
The Rebecca Loos affair. Victoria just let it go. Yuck.
The daughter with dyed hair and make up 🙄 constantly in front of the cameras. ☹️
I can’t believe he got his knighthood- for shame whoever was responsible for giving it to him.
How lovely that Brooklyn included his grandmother Sandra Beckham at the top table because she is divorced from his grandfather and hadn’t a partner.

Passingthrough123 · 19/01/2026 20:17

Talk about scorched earth! Brand Beckham is in the toilet after this. They sound abusive and controlling. Good for him for speaking out.

Poor Harper. I felt awful for her at Holly Ramsay's wedding. She was dressed so so inappropriately for her age, slathered in makeup and in a slinky dress. She looked about 35! Victoria is a creep.

KimTheresPeopleThatAreDying · 19/01/2026 20:18

It’s the drama, Mick, I love it

MidWayThruJanuary · 19/01/2026 20:18

Cruz Beckham's first Instagram post dates from 2016 when he was 11 years old. What the fuck was going through his parents heads to allow that? Publicity!
