Our is white new balance trainers, White Nike socks pulled up and over dark grey or black lululemon leggings and a hoodie (usually adanola) - then a Canada goose coat

Not this again 🥱

Cat1504 · 16/01/2026 20:33

Boring

vodkaredbullgirl · 16/01/2026 20:34

What there's a uniform 😂

Mumtobabyhavoc · 16/01/2026 20:34

Runners, leggings, hoodie, puffer vest or jacket. Noticing a lot of Alo lately.

CaffeineAndChords · 16/01/2026 20:35

I cannot believe people actually take this much notice as to what someone else is wearing. Unless they’re turning up in full blown dressing gowns and slippers I do not assess people’s outfits 🤣

cotswoldsgal1234 · 16/01/2026 20:35

No clue. No parents hang around the school.

RubyFatball · 16/01/2026 20:37

All the parents at our school dress quite differently, it’s a bunch of random individuals not a tribe, so there’s not a uniform. Your school gate must be a weird place.

Sohelpmegod25 · 16/01/2026 20:38

I absolutely hate to see socks that were maybe once white, in a previous life pulled over leggings and worn with sliders - chavsRus

FurForksSake · 16/01/2026 20:38

What’s a school mum? 🤭🤣

I tend to think that's a very busy mum who buys things for her kids first. 🤔

Ineedanewsofa · 16/01/2026 20:42

I don’t get out of the car, child is dispatched on the car park in the morning and collected from the car park at pick up. My ‘uniform’ is whatever I’m wearing for work that day, often smart jeans/wide leg trousers and some sort of jumper.

If you can’t keep your white branded sports socks to go with your knock off adidas sliders from your recent trip to the market white, then maybe opt for a darker colour???

I absolutely don’t think it’s a case of buying for their kids first I just think it’s people who aren’t capable of washing white stuff with whites and them being grey and looking awful!

Again, likely very busy... been there - oh, wait! Are you talking about ME??? 😭

MrsPerfect12 · 16/01/2026 20:54

Fashionable but glam active wear or professional office wear.

ChurchWindows · 16/01/2026 20:55

Knee length pleated tartan skirt, wolf fleece, American Tan 15 denier tights, foam sandals with a velcro fastening, lululemon dog pram (usually in peach but sometimes aqua. Never the beige), MAGA cap with head torch attachment.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 16/01/2026 20:56

No one wears clothes like that round me except 14 year olds.

The mums wear White Stuff or Fatface🤮or M and S or Nobody’s Child.

I have NEVER seen an adult dress like that round here

pimplebum · 16/01/2026 20:58

Nurse uniform ( near hospital )

As you are vomiting over some choices - what do you wear??

Isittuliptimeyet · 16/01/2026 21:03

Long practical coat, trainers and leggings. Because it is practical, the same as it was for Mums for the last 30 or so years on non work days running errands or days at home with younger children. How would you like Mums to dress on casual days? What do YOU wear OP?

jade3081 · 16/01/2026 21:05

Lucy and Yak around here

Kibble19 · 16/01/2026 21:08

I like these threads purely for how needlessly reactive people get to them.

Turmerictea · 16/01/2026 21:11

There's two "uniforms" at nursery - sports leggings, hoodie and puffer, usually with poker straight blonde hair; and cotton leggings, baggy t shirt and full length plastic rain proof jacket. Then there's me in mucky jodphurs and riding coat. And two guys.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 16/01/2026 21:18

Sensible farm coats, fleeces, t-shirts, jeans/jodhpurs and wellies or farm boots. At a push, you get people in the uniform of the local farm vet practice. (Tiny rural primary school)

rainbowsandraspberrygin · 16/01/2026 21:25

Can honestly say at our school the mums and dads all wear different things. No uniform as such. Some in smart work clothes, some in scrub types for differnt jobs, some outside workwear, jeans and jumpers, maybe 1-2 with exercise stuff, joggers and hoodies. Occasionally a couple will come in their pjs!
