Ukraine risks running out of money to fund its war against Russia within the next two months, as a combination of factors threatens tens of billions of euros in aid from the country’s key donors, Bloomberg reports.
Currently, Kyiv has enough funds to cover expenses only until June, according to estimates shared by both Ukrainian and foreign officials. Support from Western allies has been critical for Ukraine to continue fighting throughout more than four years of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
A series of recent setbacks—including Hungary’s veto of a €90 billion ($104 billion) European Union loan, disputes over the latest International Monetary Fund aid package, and a slowdown in NATO weapons deliveries—has significantly narrowed Ukraine’s room for maneuver.

🇳🇴 Norway has restricted protections for Ukrainian men aged 18–60, with some exceptions.
Men in this age group are no longer covered by the collective protection program, which allowed simplified access to temporary residence permits.
Now, they can apply for asylum only through the standard procedure, which involves an individual review. The restrictions do not affect those who already have temporary protection in Norway.
Exceptions include men under 18 or over 60, those unfit for military service, evacuees under medical programs, and men who are the sole caregivers for children.

“Ukrainian housewives with 3D printers.” Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger criticized Ukrainian drone manufacturers.
“This is like playing with Lego. Where is Ukraine’s innovation? There is no real technological breakthrough. They make innovations with their small drones and say, ‘Wow!’ And that’s great. So what? But it’s not on the level of Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, or Rheinmetall,” he said in an interview with The Atlantic journalist Simon Shuster.
When asked about several Ukrainian drone makers, including Fire Point and Skyfall, Papperger referred to them as “Ukrainian housewives” who “have 3D printers in their kitchens and produce drone parts.” [love to know the context of this - Rheinmetall is working with Ukraine, and Russia had a plan to assassinate Papperger]

The Russian House in Prague was targeted with Molotov cocktails, Czech police reported.
Late on March 26, in the Prague 6 district, an unidentified attacker threw around six bottles filled with a flammable mixture at the cultural center building.
Not all of the devices ignited, but the facade was partially burned, and one window was shattered by the impact, according to the Russian embassy.
▪️The Russian House in Prague operates under Rossotrudnichestvo, an agency under EU sanctions. The institution has been active since 1971 and, despite criticism, continues to host cultural events.

Russian forces attacked a settlement in the Koriukivka district of the Chernihiv region, killing a 95-year-old man.
A residential house caught fire at the site of the strike, and emergency services quickly extinguished the blaze.

Russia took satellite photographs of the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia the day before Iran launched an attack on the facility that injured 12 U.S. troops, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

It would be pretty straightforward to work out if the Russians had a suitably placed asset, e.g. satellte to do that...of course there's also the risk it was down to humint.

Rumour/some reports have it that in addition to the human casualties there was significant damage to some US aircraft (estimates differ as to numbers and exact types).

Any images Iran got hold off might well have revealed a set of targets too juicy not to have a shot at.

Ukraine and Qatar have agreed on a 10-year defense partnership.

🕯 For three consecutive days, enemy attacks have targeted production infrastructure in the Poltava region.
During the night and day of March 28, three production enterprises came under massive shelling. As a result of the night attack, an employee of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine was killed.

President Zelenskyy said Ukrainian experts have already conducted a general assessment of the security situation, Qatar’s capabilities to repel air threats, and developed specific solutions to strengthen air defense.

The defense ministries of Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have agreed on defense cooperation. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine is ready to share its expertise and systems with Saudi Arabia and to work together to strengthen the protection of human life.

⚡️Ukrainian military will not participate in other wars, says President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
The President clarified that the agreement with Saudi Arabia concerns training, exchange of experience, production, and investment:
“As for our military, we are not discussing their participation in another war today. We have enough of our own war… Sharing experience and expertise is a different matter.”
Zelenskyy also noted that Middle Eastern countries are very grateful to Ukraine for the work our specialists are currently doing—helping protect critical facilities.

Serbia is stepping up measures against Russians who use so-called “visa runs,” according to the Serbian publication Hutanje.
This scheme involves leaving the country every 30 days and immediately returning to reset the visa-free stay period. Formally, Russian citizens can stay in Serbia without a visa for up to 30 days, but the total stay is limited to 90 days within six months.
Serbian authorities have begun cracking down on this practice. Border and police services are now detaining individuals, confiscating documents, and referring cases to court. The grounds are exceeding the total permitted stay, even if the person regularly crossed the border. In March, a court in Subotica fined a Russian citizen and ordered his expulsion, concluding that despite formal departures, he effectively resided in Serbia in violation of migration rules.
According to various estimates, the new measures could affect at least 150,000 people, as many Russian relocants in Serbia do not have residence permits and rely on short-term stays.
The tightening comes as Serbia seeks to align its visa policy with European Union standards by the end of 2026. As a candidate country, it is required to introduce visas for countries whose citizens need visas to enter the EU, and Russia is on that list.

Poland is preparing to counter Shahed drones by launching mass production of missiles.
Poland’s Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, together with Estonia’s Frankenburg Technologies, has agreed to mass-produce Mark 1 mini air defense missiles designed to counter drones.
The plan is to produce up to 10,000 missiles per year — essentially an “anti-Shahed assembly line.” The main idea is low-cost interception: to avoid shooting down $20,000 drones with $200,000 missiles.
Mark 1 specifications:
▪️ Range: up to 2 km; altitude: up to 1.5 km
▪️ Homing system and a warhead effective against light drones
Tests are planned for spring and summer in Ukraine. A Mark II version with a range of up to 5–8 km will be developed.

🥱 Russia threatens “retaliatory measures” if South Korea transfers lethal weapons to Ukraine.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that Moscow has repeatedly warned through “various channels” about the “inadmissibility” of supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine, including within the framework of the PURL initiative.
“Otherwise, bilateral relations between Russia and South Korea could be seriously damaged, and we will be forced to resort to retaliatory measures. I hope we will not be forced to do this,” he said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, since the start of the full-scale war, South Korea has provided Ukraine only with humanitarian and non-lethal assistance. At the same time, Seoul is considering the possibility of support through joint defense initiatives with NATO, including the PURL program.

Iranian officials claim they destroyed a warehouse of “Ukrainian anti-drone systems” in Dubai, but Ukraine has denied the report.
The statement was made by Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Central Headquarters of “Khatam al-Anbiya,” according to Fars, an agency affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
He claimed the facility stored anti-drone systems intended as aid for the United States military and belonging to Ukraine. According to him, 21 Ukrainian citizens were allegedly present at the site, and their fate is unknown.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhiy Tykhyi denied the claim in a comment to hromadske, calling it “false.”
“The Iranian regime often carries out such disinformation operations — in this it is no different from the Russians,” he said.
Ukraine has been sending military experts to several Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates. Recently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared footage of a meeting with them.
According to him, Ukrainian specialists have already held talks with representatives of the UAE’s security and defense forces and developed “a clear understanding of how to strengthen the protection of airspace and critical infrastructure in the Emirates by integrating Ukrainian experience.”

This week alone, Russia has used over 3,000 strike drones against our cities and communities, a significant portion of which are Shaheds. It has also launched more than 1,450 guided bombs and 40 missiles of various types, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Ukrainian forces struck the Promsintez plant in Russia’s Samara region with FP-5 “Flamingo” missiles.
The facility in Chapayevsk specializes in producing components for explosives used in ammunition, bombs, and missiles. It manufactures more than 30,000 tons of military-grade explosives annually.
The missiles hit the plant’s production area. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said pressure on Russia must be increased, not eased, accusing it of sharing intelligence with Iran for attacks on U.S. and British bases in the Middle East.

A dispute broke out between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas over Russia on the sidelines of the G7 meeting.
According to Axios, Kallas criticized the United States for not increasing pressure on Russia. She recalled that a year ago Rubio had said Washington’s patience would run out if Moscow obstructed efforts to end the war.
“A year has passed, and Russia has not moved an inch. When will your patience run out?” Kallas asked.
“We are doing everything we can to end the war. If you think you can do better — go ahead. We’ll step aside,” Rubio replied sharply.
Following the exchange, several European ministers intervened, stressing that they still want the U.S. to remain engaged in diplomacy between Russia and Ukraine. Rubio and Kallas later held a brief one-on-one conversation to ease tensions.
“It was a frank exchange of views. That is what diplomacy is for,” a State Department official told Axios.

The Head of the President’s Office has tasked officials with developing proposals for the creation of a Pantheon of Ukrainian heroes.
Today, Kyrylo Budanov discussed with representatives of the government, parliament, civil society, and academia the idea of reburial of prominent Ukrainians currently buried abroad.
“Hundreds of fighters for Ukraine, outstanding figures from different eras and professions. Our task is to bring them home. Many of them wished to be reburied in an independent Ukraine,” he said.
According to the President’s Office, the next step is to define a list of figures and select a specific location in Kyiv where the Pantheon will be built. The proposals will be submitted to the president in the near future.

According to Trump, it's natural that Russia support Iran.

So we are currently in a situation where Russia has invaded Ukraine and objects to US military info sharing, the US has attacked Iran but doesn't object to Russia military info sharing, there are dead soldiers on both sides while both Russia and the US want to start trade and the US is starting the process of lifting sanctions.

What a world.

Key Takeaways

  1. Russian forces are struggling to advance on the northern part of Ukraine’s Fortress Belt following the onset of the Russian Spring-Summer 2026 offensive.
  2. The recent Russian tactical gains could support offensive operations to the north against Lyman or to the south against Kostyantynivka, but so far are insufficient for a drive directly on Slovyansk itself.
  3. Russian forces conducted another massive strike against Ukraine on the night of March 28 to 29, striking a public recreation area and inflicting civilian casualties.
  4. Russian forces also conducted a large glide bomb strike against Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast on March 29, inflicting heavy civilian casualties.
  5. Ukrainian forces continued their long-range strike campaign against Russian oil and defense industrial infrastructure on the night of March 28 to 29, including launching the fifth strike in the last week against Russian oil infrastructure in Leningrad Oblast.
  6. Russian milbloggers are criticizing the ineffectiveness of Russian forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) recruitment campaign amid ongoing indications that the Kremlin may resort to involuntary reserve callups to maintain its replacement rate in Ukraine.
  7. Ukrainian forces recently advanced in the Kostyantynivka and Hulyaipole directions. Russian forces recently advanced in the Oleksandrivka direction.

⚡️ Russia used more than 3,000 drones, over 1,450 bombs, and 40 missiles against Ukraine last week, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

In Kharkiv, Russian forces struck residential buildings in the morning. Two people were injured in the Kholodnohirskyi district, and four buildings were damaged.

In Kherson, a woman was killed and a man injured after a drone hit a passenger car, causing a fire.

In the Mykolaiv region, a 13-year-old girl died following a Russian attack the previous evening. Ten others were injured, most of them teenagers.

⚡️ President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Jordan as part of his Middle East tour.

According to him, several important meetings are planned during the visit.

Earlier, Zelensky traveled to Saudi Arabia on Friday and to Qatar the following day. Ukraine signed ten-year cooperation agreements with both countries.

🇫🇮Several drones crashed on Finnish territory on Sunday morning.

Two drones fell near the city of Kouvola, while another likely landed on sea ice near Espoo, the country’s second-largest city. Both locations are situated along the Gulf of Finland.

On the same night, drones operated by Ukraine’s Security Service targeted the Russian port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region, which is also located on the Gulf of Finland.

Finland’s Air Force identified one of the drones as a Ukrainian AN-196 “Liutyi” UAV. Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said the drones were likely Ukrainian.

Over the past week, Ukraine has carried out four strikes on Russian oil facilities in the Leningrad region. During previous attacks, Ukrainian drones likely crashed in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Authorities in those countries have blamed the incidents on Russia’s war against Ukraine.

⚡️ Russian forces carried out attacks across Ukraine during the day. Here is what is known about the consequences:

🔴 Kramatorsk. Russian forces dropped an aerial bomb on the city, killing three people, including a 13-year-old boy. At least 12 people were injured, some of them seriously.

🔴 Zaporizhzhia region. Guided aerial bombs struck the settlement of Zarichne in the Zaporizhzhia district. A 75-year-old woman was killed, and a 72-year-old man was injured. In the village of Bilenke, a drone attack wounded a 77-year-old man.

Defense Ministry advisor Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov said Russian forces are dropping mines from Shahed drones on a daily basis, up to eight per drone. A video circulating online shows a drone dropping mines up to 50 km inside Ukrainian territory.

⚡️ Drones struck a chemical plant in Tolyatti, Russia’s Samara region, overnight. This is the second attack on the facility in a month.

The temporarily occupied city of Alchevsk in the Luhansk region was also hit. Local Telegram channels reported strikes on a substation and a metallurgical plant, with power outages in parts of the city.

Explosions were reported throughout the night in Taganrog, in Russia’s Rostov region. Preliminary reports suggest an air defense missile may have hit residential buildings.

⚡️ Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with an Iskander missile and 164 drones, with air defenses downing 150 UAVs.

The ballistic missile and 12 drones struck targets in seven locations, while debris fell in two others. One of the drones hit the village of Bezruky in the Kharkiv region, injuring two residents.

Three districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region were also targeted overnight, with fires reported in a residential building, a garage, and a car.

⚡️ NYT reports that the United States is allowing a Russian oil tanker to reach Cuba despite the blockade.

The vessel Anatoly Kolodkin, carrying 730,000 barrels of oil, departed from Primorsk on March 9 and initially listed its destination as Atlantis, USA, likely as a joke. The tanker has now nearly reached Cuban territorial waters.

According to the New York Times, despite the effective oil blockade, the White House did not order it to be intercepted, even though US Coast Guard ships are present in the region.

The decision could ease Cuba’s energy crisis for several weeks and may also signal that Havana can still count on support from Russia, the publication writes.

Trump himself said he does not oppose such deliveries because Cuba needs to survive, but at the same time stressed that it has a bad regime and very corrupt leadership, so this single tanker will not change anything.

🇪🇺The EU is growing increasingly cautious about the idea of admitting poorer countries, including Ukraine, citing concerns about having “another Orban,” Politico reports.

For current EU members, admitting wealthier countries is far more attractive than expansion to poorer states such as Ukraine, Moldova, Albania, Serbia, and Montenegro.

Their accession would mean an additional financial burden for existing EU members. Diplomats also fear that democratic institutions in new member states could erode over time.

“We don’t want another Hungary or Slovakia. We don’t know what will happen in these new countries in 10–15 years. Then we could end up stuck with another [Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor] Orban,” said one European diplomat.

Meanwhile, economically developed countries that meet most EU criteria but have not rushed to join the bloc are increasingly viewing it as a security instrument rather than an economic opportunity.

This includes Iceland and Norway — Reykjavik has already accelerated preparations for a referendum on resuming negotiations with the EU.

⚡️ Military cooperation with Middle Eastern countries, a ceasefire, and peace talks. Key points from Volodymyr Zelensky’s conversation with journalists:

◾On the Middle East. Ukraine has signed 10-year strategic cooperation agreements with Middle Eastern countries in miltech and other areas. Ukraine plans to export not only interceptor drones but also defense lines, software, electronic warfare systems, maritime drones, and more. There are also agreements for energy support from Gulf countries.

◾On peace negotiations. Ukraine is ready to meet in any format and location except Russia and Belarus. A trilateral meeting is postponed because the U.S. focus is currently on Iran. Zelensky does not believe the talks have reached a deadlock.

◾On an energy truce. Ukraine has received signals from partners on how to reduce retaliatory measures against Russia’s oil sector. “If Russia is ready not to strike Ukrainian energy infrastructure, we will not respond against theirs.”

◾On criticism of Ukrainian drones by the CEO of Rheinmetall. “It sounds strange. If every Ukrainian household could really produce drones, then every Ukrainian household could be the CEO of Rheinmetall. Today, competition is not about rhetoric but about technology, and the results of this technology are demonstrated daily on the battlefield: on land, in the air, and at sea.”

◾On the Easter ceasefire. Ukraine supports a ceasefire during Easter holidays as well as any other truce formats. “We are ready for any compromises, except compromises on our dignity and sovereignty.”

◾On missile shortages. There has never been enough PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems in Ukraine or globally; production is limited to around 60 units per month. Currently, most anti-ballistic packages are directed to the Middle East. Ukraine is negotiating with two countries for alternatives to these missiles.

United 24 Media:

🔹 Ukraine’s strikes on the ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk threaten to significantly reduce Russia’s growing oil export revenues amid the Iran war, according to Bloomberg.

“Loading at Ust-Luga has been on hold since Wednesday after the port suffered significant damage. Another Russian Baltic Sea port, Primorsk, was also damaged.

Just before Ukraine’s recent attacks, Primorsk and Ust-Luga handled about 45% of Russia’s seaborne oil exports — 1.72 million barrels per day.”

🔸 “We call on the United States to exert influence on Ukraine regarding territorial matters, and Washington is fully capable of doing so. This is precisely what is needed now,” said Putin’s adviser Yuriy Ushakov.

“The US proposals regarding Ukraine are interesting, but they have not yet been implemented,” he added.

🔹 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the King of Jordan to discuss security cooperation.

During the meeting with King Abdullah II, the two sides discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, as well as potential security partnerships.

The President noted that Ukraine is ready to share its experience in defending against missile and drone attacks and emphasized the importance of creating a unified system for protecting people and critical infrastructure.

🔸 March could become a record month for the number of Russians killed. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy’s losses will exceed 30,000 killed and seriously wounded.

Reaching 50,000 destroyed occupiers per month would have catastrophic consequences for the enemy. I will speak separately about the decisions that will make this possible, said Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

🔹 Satellites have recorded new fires at the Russian port of Ust-Luga following another attack by Ukrainian drones.

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) noted that this is the second strike in a week on this key Russian oil terminal in the Baltic.

Together with the terminal at the port of Primorsk, Ust-Luga handles up to 45% of Russia’s seaborne oil exports.

🇸🇰 Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico threatens to block the 20th EU sanctions package against Russia over “double standards” on the Druzhba oil pipeline.

Fico claimed that Ukraine “stopped” oil supplies due to pipeline damage but has not yet allowed expert access. He also criticized the European Commission, saying it prioritizes Ukraine’s interests over Slovakia’s.

The Slovak Prime Minister noted that Slovakia received “letters of threats” from Brussels regarding measures to protect its fuel market, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received “letters full of love and understanding.”

❗️President Volodymyr Zelenskyy — on negotiations: “I don’t think we have a dead end.”

“A dead end — and then what should we all do? Give up, relax? Let Russia give in? We won’t. We must organize a trilateral meeting and continue along the diplomatic track,” the President said.

The head of state noted that Ukraine is ready for a trilateral meeting with the US and Russia, but it is being postponed as Washington’s focus is currently on Iran.

🔸 Russia is building a large-scale transport network to consolidate control over occupied territories in southern Ukraine, according to Reuters.

The large-scale construction has been confirmed by satellite imagery. The logistics network is being used not only for civilian transport, but also to supply troops, move equipment, and export grain and mineral resources.

One of the key projects is the “Novorossiya Railway” system. It includes a planned 525-kilometer line, construction of which began in 2023.

At the same time, road infrastructure is also expanding. The “Novorossiya” highway is being built as part of the 1,400-kilometer “Azov Ring,” intended to link occupied Ukrainian territories with Russia and Crimea.

According to Reuters, the new rail and road routes already allow bypassing the Crimean Bridge, previously Russia’s main land and rail corridor to the peninsula and still considered vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes.

Russia is also focusing on ports in the Sea of Azov. The ports of Mariupol and Berdiansk, inactive in the early years of the war, have been restored and reopened under Russian control. Satellite images from August last year show new infrastructure in Mariupol, including a structure roughly the length of a football field and what appear to be coal stockpiles prepared for export.

Reuters reports that Russia has allocated about $11.8 billion in federal funds for the development of four occupied territories in 2024–2026 — nearly three times more than the combined funding for around two dozen other Russian regions in the priority development program.

Since 2023, about $425 million has also been allocated for railway construction and maintenance in these territories, with 20 contracts worth over $214 million signed for the Novorossiya route alone.

Analysts say this reflects not temporary military measures, but a long-term restructuring of logistics in the occupied areas, indicating that Moscow is preparing to hold these territories for years, regardless of future negotiations.

⚡️ US tells Ukraine no PURL military aid redirected to Middle East, Sybiha says

The U.S. has reassured Ukraine that none of the military aid committed to Kyiv was redirected elsewhere, including to the Middle East, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha told news agency Ukrinform in an interview published on March 29.

"Nothing was redirected from the (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) program to other geographical areas, and from those funds, from that equipment that is intended for Ukraine," Sybiha told Ukrinform.

⚡️ In the latest episode of Ukraine This Week, Anna Belokur examines Russia’s escalating crackdown on internet access and what it reveals about the Kremlin’s growing fear of dissent.

Across Russia, widespread internet outages have disrupted daily life, pushing people to rely on analogue tools like paper maps and walkie-talkies. While authorities claim the blackouts are a defensive measure against Ukrainian drone attacks, experts say they are part of a broader effort to tighten state control over information.

⚡️Rheinmetall backtracks, praises Kyiv's innovation after CEO derides Ukrainian 'Lego' drones.

German defense company Rheinmetall issued a statement on March 29 expressing respect for Ukraine’s defense efforts after facing backlash over comments that appeared to downplay Ukrainian innovation in warfare.

⚡️ Ukraine 'much stronger,' Zelensky says as he urges US, Russia to resume negotiations.

"The ball is now in the court of both the United States and Russia," President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

⚡️Update: Ukrainian drone crashes in Finland, Kyiv blames Russian electronic warfare.

"Under no circumstances were any Ukrainian drones heading toward Finland," Heorhii Tykhyi, a spokesperson for Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, said. "The most likely cause is interference by Russian electronic warfare systems."

⚡️ UK slams Russia's 'harassment campaign' after Moscow expels British diplomat over spying claims.

⚡️ President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to remarks by the CEO of German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall.

“If every Ukrainian housewife can really produce drones, then every Ukrainian housewife can also be the CEO of Rheinmetall. I congratulate our defense industry on this high level,” the president said.

Earlier, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger claimed there was nothing innovative about Ukrainian drones, calling their producers “Ukrainian housewives.”

“It’s just playing with Lego. What innovation is there on Ukraine’s side? There is no technological breakthrough. It’s not technology like Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, or Rheinmetall,” he said.

⚡️ Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) has published a list of 51 vessels it says are fueling Russia’s war by exporting oil and operating in occupied Ukrainian ports.

The list includes tankers moving Russian crude and cargo ships entering closed ports in occupied areas such as Mariupol and Kerch.

They're saying those drones crashing in Finland were due to Russian electronic interference, messing up the trajectory of the Ukrainian drones. Makes sense but a bit worrying that Russia can cause them to divert to Finland!

DdraigGoch · 30/03/2026 20:47

Presumably the effect is similar to sending up chaff - causes them to overshoot

Speculating here but quite possibly this is a consequence of GPS jamming (blocking of signal) or spoofing (Corruption of data).

Targets were rumoured to be oil facilities in rhe Gulf of Finland...if you are going to get from Ukraine to there your en-route navigation is probably going to be primarily by GPS with a back up of an unjammable but less accurate inertial system.

The idea being if GPS gets clobbered by jamming then the inertial takes over from last known position but it gets less accurate over time.

A well maintained aircraft type system would probably be good to a small handful of miles or less after a long flight but for drones we're possibly talking cheaper kit so less accuracy/potential for more drift.

Be interesting to know where the potential targets were relative to where the drones ended up.

Key Takeaways

  1. Ukraine’s operational and strategic ability to inflict mounting costs on Russia is generating increasing anxiety in the Russian ultranationalist information space.
  2. Ukraine continues to offer concessions and demonstrate its willingness to negotiate with Russia even as Russian officials reject Ukraine’s attempts to establish a negotiating position short of Ukrainian capitulation.
  3. Ukraine’s European allies continue to provide military aid to Ukraine, including through bolstering Ukraine’s indigenous defense production.
  4. Ukrainian forces advanced near Slovyansk and in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area. Russian forces advanced near Hulyaipole, in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area, and in western Zaporizhia Oblast.
  5. Ukrainian forces conducted long-range strikes against the Russian defense industrial base (DIB). Russian forces launched 164 drones and one missile against Ukraine.
