Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The washer's on already, for the towels, and the beef for what should have been our New Year's roast is already in to slowly cook. I'm not very good at cooking beef, so hopefully it'll be ok!

No-one else is up yet, and the cats have gonr back to bed after breakfast so I should be in for an hour or two's peace.

We have no plans for the day - dd1 needs to complete her arguments for the assignment due tomorrow, so I'll leave her to do that. And dd2 was up late chatting to her friend in The Netherlands, so she'll sleep a while longer.

I'm expecting delivery of a craft kit at some point, so will probably get my paints out to fix a set of peg dolls I was meant to repair over Christmas, and slowly potter about in between paint layers.

We're still recovering from flu so I'll probably also have a nap before finishing off the roast.

Once we've tidied from tea, I'll have my much needed Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower, and read for an hour, before heading to bed early ready for work tomorrow morning 💤. Doesn't really feel like I've had a nice break after being ill for most of it 😥 but there we go.

Very much the same, first cuppa and cat fed now going to sleep 😅 husband just up. Did my post Christmas clear and clean yesterday, and dishwasher on. Cooking roast later Cunningly booked all of next week off work 😎 as knew I would be knackered by end if this week- and had a bit of a rough year so decided to extend time off this way. I am still in bed scrolling, will get up soon to let the dog out for the toilet and have a coffee. Then a shower, and will spend the day watching tv/diamond painting and going 2 dog walks. Need to give the house a clean in between as have a visitor tomorrow. Love a chill Sunday!

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I've had two coffees and a cuppa with two small slices of toast. It's very cold here and the furthest I'll venture is to the bins with rubbish. I'm going to have a lazy day because tomorrow is back to childcare for my grandsons and I'll be up at half five. So I intend to make lentil soup and a big pot of stovies today, both of which will last me for a few days and keep me warm. Tonight it's to be -6° which is much too cold for me! Have a good day all.

I had snuggle with my partner and our dog first thing in the morning. Then we had coffee in bed and now up and he is watching TV and I decided do some cleaning

Morning. Taking down the decorations and tree, a bit of cleaning, replacing the smoke alarms. Lunch out maybe, and a karate class this evening.
A fairly chilled Sunday. 😊

Swimming lessons resumed today after a 2 week break, so I'm at the pool with GS .
After defrosting the car in -4!

Take him home, then dunno, DH is still off for xmas, usually take DD and the kids shopping after swimming but don't know if we are today.

It's a snow day here in Devon, so I'm still in my PJs having coffee. I have zero plans to step foot outside unless the ice melts.
I think I'm going to slowly potter about the house today giving it a good clean, strip and wash the beds and hoover.

Been up since 8am, on my second cuppa and just chilling on the sofa with youngest DD who is recovering from a tummy bug, oldest DD is reading in bed I think, probably not still asleep! DH is back to work today so just the three of us and DDog. I am trying to get myself psyched up to do some more cleaning/tidying and de-Christmassing but just feeling so cosy on the sofa in my Oodie it’s hard! Planning to move the rest of the boxed up decorations back into the attic and get presents tidied away a little more or at least into the DDs’ shared bedroom. Need to iron school uniform and do my yoga practice and then some drawing together with DDs later. Dinner is going to be stir fry with king prawns 😊

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. I am supposed to be getting ready for a 4 hour shift but I have an upset tum so called in sick 😢 DH & I have had a cuppa & are still in bed, scrolling. He likes to watch cycle maintenance videos. Oh the joys lol 😂 As I’m at home, I will do little jobs like transferring addresses from the old book to the new one & maybe write letters. Not something I do often anymore but I do write to one of my Aunties who lives alone. The kitchen looks like a bomb hit it so one of us will do the dishwasher & wipe the surfaces. One of my bras needs soaking. I tried on my 2 sale bras last night & am so pleased with the fit & feel. The whole house needs hoovering & the fridge is well overdue for a clean but not today. Ready meal curry for tea if my tum is better. Could be kill or cure! Need to message my DBro to say I can’t pop over to see my folks this afternoon. We were going to have a chat about the future as DF isn’t keen to continue with the 24 hour care they’ve had for a couple of months. Enjoying “The Good Doctor” on Netflix so will watch some more episodes tonight.

I'm just waiting to see if the builder turns up today. The bathroom renovation only started in October ffs. I'm going to get someone else in to finish it because it's just ridiculous now.

Other than that, I shall glare at the new Hive heating thingy that was put in a month ago (different person!), take dog out for a walk, buy birthday cards for the year and write them, then disappear under a throw with said dog for the rest of the day! A glass of wine may join me and dog under the throw.

Not much, just a day at home.

We have some snow here today, which is a rarity. So staying in, tidying up, washing etc etc. Lazy Kids(tween and teen) still in bed. Gloves and Wellies will be going on once they see though. Where as, I've been up for ages and it's time for coffee no2.

Dog walks and housework most of the day. New bedding, ironing and a few wash loads needing doing. Dog stuff needs cleaned too.
Then getting sorted for the school week ahead by sorting uniform , lunches and school bags.

Need to get a few bits at the supermarket and then we're meeting MIL for dinner.

It's so cold here today (was -3 when I got up)

Gym, Christmas tree coming down, dog walks, tidying up my bedroom as I have been called out by DH for leaving a horrendous mess.

Good morning all. I'm currently eating porridge and drinking coffee. Sport starts back today, so I'll be spending my day giving lifts (DS to football, DD to netball) and taking down the Christmas decorations. Then back to work tomorrow!

plan is to de Christmas my workplace unit today and then get all the decs back up in the loft and out of the spare room so I can sort that room and the walk in wardrobe and get everything back in its normal place.

It's in the -c here so I was hoping to not have to go out but the food shop is missing a few items (I was planning to batch cook today and the blooming mince for chilli and bolognese is missing). Will decide if I'm going to brave it when the shops open.

It's a day of sorting out drawers, culling, tidying and homework today.

Dinner will be meatballs and homemade sauce with garlic bread and salad.

Early night all round, me and older two are starting Stranger Things from the start (I only watched S5!) so we'll have an episode of that later.

1 of 3 DC is back tomorrow, Tuesday is going to be the crazy day here. Mine are so relaxed - aka out of routine - it's going to be a shock the system.

Just finished my second coffee, going to brave the cold to go to the supermarket for the weekly shop. Will take down the tree and decs this afternoon and cook a roast for dinner. Hopefully early nights all round ready for school/work tomorrow.

Still in being drinking the coffee DH brought up this morning. DS11 and DS2 in beside me. DS7 still in his bed. Going to get up now and give the place a good tidy. I have washing and ironing I need to get through. It’s snowy outside today but I need to venture out to do the food shop in the afternoon. Will take toddler with me to break up the day for him. When I get back maybe a walk in the snow, pull the little one on the sledge. All bad to school and work tomorrow so early nights all round.

I’ve been up since silly o’clock as woke up in the early hours with indigestion and, by the time I’d fetched some gaviscon, I couldn’t get back to sleep. Had a cuppa and breakfast and done a load of washing. Plans for today are to get all the Christmas stuff up into the loft once DS is up to help, then strip both beds, have a good clean round upstairs and then get dinner started. Not been well since Christmas so have done very little around the house and need to catch up!

-3 degrees here. Ds and DH are out walking the dog. DD is at work. I'm in my dressing gown divesting the Christmas tree of ornaments and listening to a true crime podcast. Very snowy outside - brrrr!

Lying peacefully in bed though cat has buzzed off having had her nibbles of Marmite pikelet. DH has gone for a swim, later DS2 and partner are coming for lunch and to try game given to us by DGS at Christmas. Doppelgänger - hope it is easy to fathom out.

Was uat5.45 and left home at 6.3.

Home by 1 after collecting a couple of electric blankets.

It’s Sunday and back to the grind tomorrow and I am absolutely gutted! Be nice to have some sort of routine back but I am already on the countdown to Feb half term!

Not much planned for today, need to pop to home bargains and get toiletries and kids lunch box snacks. Chicken roast later then baths/showers all round. Cant see the kids going to bed easily tonight so that should be fun and even more fun trying to get them up tomorrow! Dp and I will catch up with Fallout tonight and I’ll toss and turn all night in a grump about Monday no doubt.
