It's vaguely entertaining but it's not a great film by any stretch. I wouldn't even describe it as particularly good. I think you need to see more films op!

I have a monthly cinema membership and weeks like this are so frustrating! Apart from The Housemaid (saw the trailer, not my thing) and Marty Supreme (which I saw on Boxing Day) everything is pitched at the school holiday market.

Sentimental Value is out. What about that? Supposed to be good

I’m about to start a thread on it! Actually there’s one already so I’ll just post on that!

@Oddities1 please enlighten us about what we should have been watching this year. Blooming love a film snob.

Really?! I’m confused how they made that shit show of a book into the best film people have seen all year. It must have been a slow year in the film industry.

Films I watched at the cinema this year that were better were one battle after another, Bugonia, die my love, sinners, the long walk, weapons. I didn't think it was a top year for cinema releases. I usually like more.
Lots of good films on streaming too. I love cinema and film.
Not sure why you think I'm a snob? I just didn't think the housemaid was good! I love a thriller when they're done well.

It’s fantastic. I was sceptical about AS playing Nina as Nina is very drab/ frumpy in the book So I didn’t know how well she’d portray her but she was absolutely incredible!!

Went with adult son and we both considered leaving as it was so bad, but then the twist happened and we enjoyed it more but really, could have been much better.

Watched it today. Glad I didn't pay to go to the cinema! Odd plot but fine for a Sunday afternoon at home.
