Just for fun!
One thing that I feel just makes me superior than most is that I am a twin mum. Can’t really explain it except that I feel like superwoman for growing 2 babies myself at once

one thing that will make me think you are cooler than most of if you’re left handed, no idea why, I just know I always wanted to be left handed when I was a kid😂

I was born on the same day as Cilla Black 💅🏼

whengodwasarabbit1 · 30/12/2025 10:49

I can mirror write perfectly. I'm a lefty too which must have something to do with it.

I’m brilliant at naming a tune, either pop or classical. With classical even if I don’t know the piece I can name the composer.

Me too! Name that tune in one

Shodan · 30/12/2025 10:50

I have a black belt in karate and have been training consistently for 21 years. I started at age 35.

Love this thread!

I’ve read books while walking along since I was a young child and am secretly despising of people reading on their phones and doing it really badly, bumping into people and things etc.

grrrlatrix · 30/12/2025 10:53

I know how to use commas.

I've made it to almost 42 years old without ever having a filling in my teeth 😁

I am almost 52 and am the same- no fillings! I went for my very first hygienist appointment yesterday and was expecting to be told off but he was really complimentary about them.

(they are definitely not cosmetically perfect, sparkly white, even teeth though; they just seem to be very healthy)

ScruffMuffin · 30/12/2025 10:56

I'm nearly 50 and have never had a filling. I'd like to say it's something I've done, but in truth, it's just good genes. My sister is the same, and my husband (who cares for his teeth just as well as I do) has loads.

I'm amazing at spelling, and learning completely pointless long words and place names. Nobody cares!

lifeonmars100 · 30/12/2025 10:57

I have (so I have been told on numerous occasions throughout my life) a very pleasant speaking voice. Clear, not too loud, not too soft, people have told me that they find it soothing to listen to. I don't cringe when I have heard the recorded version of myself speaking which I understand a lot of people do. I am not so arrogant that I think I sound great but I do think I am fairly easy on the ear. I have had several jobs that involved delivering training and presentations and much of the feedback mentioned how clear and pleasant my speech is. However I can yell and curse like a demon should the need arise!

ScruffMuffin · 30/12/2025 10:58

Ooh... also....
I've been with DH for 30 years, and he says he has never seen me lose my temper. I don't even argue very much.

Question for the linguists.

What language do you dream in? I knew I was fairly fluent in BSL when I started dreaming in it, but people who couldn't sign, suddenly, in my dream could.

When I'd been living in the other country for a few months and had been on an intensive course, I started talking to myself in my dreams in the other language.
Now it's no longer fluent I don't.

Same here, people have asked me if I have had implants!

It's great isn't it? I've caused people mild pain before when doing the cheek-bump-kiss greeting. 😂

BigGra · 30/12/2025 11:07

Not me but my Mum. She gave birth to 9 children in sequence of girl, boy, girl, boy…… and all born in even numbered years.

blablablah · 30/12/2025 11:09

All babies love me - when I’m near/walk past them their little eyes find me and when I smile back they just and smile and stare. It’s never not happened, ever since I was a child. Many bus journeys have been spent entertaining babies I can tell you.

I’ve been very good at every job I’ve done, and people tell me that I’m calm, positive and that when I talk they listen because I always know what I’m talking about.

I recognise faces in films/TV shows, usually being able to say what other shows they’ve been in within seconds.

rabbitwoman · 30/12/2025 11:09

Honestly unexpectedromantic, that is exceptionally cool because it's a sign of faery blood.

Dunno why this has all come up in bold..... oh, unexpectedromantic, there you go again!!!

Note - I wonder what would happen if you ever met my husband......

Extra note - mn won't let me @ unexpectedromanic because apparently they don't exist......

When I was at college another girl asked me to do her make up and I said I didn't wear any to which she replied, "You actually look like that!" She thought my cheekbones were the result of very skilled contouring, something that I never even attempted once

ladygindiva · 30/12/2025 11:11

I'm also a twin mum and secretly feel the same as you, pretty smug 🤣

It's wonderful naturally having something other people have to cheat to achieve. 😂

ScruffMuffin · 30/12/2025 11:19

Cross post with other filling avoiders!

Thecows · 30/12/2025 11:26

I'm naturally slim at 60, doesn't matter what I eat. I wish I weighed a bit more actually but given the choice I'd be this way. Very grateful.

PistachioTiramisu · 30/12/2025 11:29

If I wake up in the night, I can pinpoint the time to within 10 minutes without looking at the clock. I also never need an alarm clock as I just wake up at the time I need to!

Arraminta · 30/12/2025 11:31

I got into Mensa when I was 19 (despite being crap at maths).

When I was 7 I was assessed as having a reading ability of 15 yrs+ (which counts as adult). My teacher told my parents that in her 30 year career she'd never known a child read as fluently as me.

Thanks to the above I'm very articulate and can charm the birds out of the trees, if I'm so minded. So I've got every job I've ever been interviewed for, even if I'm not qualified, or especially suitable.

I'm always very rational and calmly assertive, and I'm the one people want in a crisis (I wasn't fond of my MIL, but it was me she asked to advocate for her when she was admitted to hospital 'Because no one ever says no to you, Arraminta.'

I'm 55 but can still do the splits.

My grown up DDs seem to genuinely enjoy my company and include me in lots of things they do.

usedtobeaylis · 30/12/2025 11:31

I'm a ghost. I fly so far under the radar and never get involved in drama or gossiping. A certain amount of detachment is aways cool. I'm not and have never been a 'mean girl', and I have absolutely no interest in the male gaze so I just float about my drama-free life ghostily.

I'm a warm, polite and friendly person in general but still... under the radar.

MaryWelly · 30/12/2025 11:37

I've saved people's lives (but not professionally)

AngelinaFibres · 30/12/2025 11:42

I'm a brilliant granny. I can sew costumes, make things out of cardboard boxes and make up silly stories with puppets and little plastic people . I am having an absolute ball
