Who else is going to be working Christmas Day?

Hotel receptionist here - I'm not looking forward to it, I'd rather be home.nut I did negotiate NYE off so that's something.

Anyone else working Xmas Day?

Care supervisor working a night shift and Boxing day night too, got New year off.

We are staying in a hotel as there isn't space for us in DD's, so the staff here. Planning to get to breakfast when it starts and out of our room as soon as we can so the morning doesn't drag on for the staff.

We're not doing a cooked breakfast here today, just the usual cereal/yoghurt/fruit offerings. That's stuff we can do as opposed to the kitchen staff who work hard enough the rest of the year!

And of course sleep evades me before the shift

Farmer here so every day is a work day due to be a lovely sunny, crisp day though so looking forward to getting out when it gets light and of course we get to be together as a family at the same time

Me. I’m an anaesthetist doing Christmas Eve nightshift and Christmas Day nightshift on ITU.

I admire you, I certainly couldn't do it!

Dh and I both working, but not until later this evening and luckily both wfh this year. We don’t celebrate Christmas in any meaningful way so don’t mind doing them, but it sucks a not being able to have a glass of wine!

Yes, couple of hours this morning then this evening. Healthcare. Have worked many a Christmas Day/ Night. Adult DC .

DS is working in the local pub til 3.30pm

Me! I’m a community nurse, I’m working 7-5 today. DS is with his dad until tomorrow and all being well I’ll make it to my mums for Christmas dinner today so not too bad

My list is a tough one e today with some young end of life patients so I’m hoping today goes smoothly for them

Just coming to the end of my Christmas eve nightshift and that's me done til Sunday night! Hopefully I will get a little nap this morning when the kids have opened their presents

Jealous of that shift pattern! I'm on 1pm-11pm

7-7:30 for me. Mental health nurse in A&E and a general hospital. Don’t mind too much but looking forward to day off tomorrow.

Ouch thats a nasty one . We all split xmas day so do 4 hrs each but get paid for 8 . Nights do there full 8 hrs shift tho

8-8 in an NHS walk in centre as a nurse practitioner.

I'm off to look after 36 cats for an animal welfare charity, they will all be getting an extra Christmas cuddle this morning!

Yeah, I’m at work today. I’ve had about 3 hours sleep for no good reason!

Me. I'm doing 23-26 which is disappointing as I only wanted today off and I won't see my child for nearly a year after the weekend. But I know I'm appreciated by the people I'm going to assist. I am a carer.
